This is a book on the sciences of hadith, written by Al-Hafiz Abu Al-Qasim Ibn Asakir, in which he collects the virtues of the book “Al-Muwatta’” by Imam Malik bin Anas. The book falls within the Hadith classification, and it appears from its opening that it narrates with continuous chains of transmission some of what was mentioned about the virtues of Al-Muwatta and its people, beginning with a dream vision that indicates the status of this book among the predecessors.
