It examines the forms of performance that are attributed to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, from the sayings and actions of the Companions, such as their saying: “We used to say such-and-such,” or “He ordered us to do so,” or “from the Sunnah such-and-such.” The author explains the different levels of transmission of the Sunnah by the Companions, and details the ruling on each version, and whether it is considered a marfoo’ hadith or a suspended hadith, with a focus on what there is no room for opinion, and the Companions’ interpretation of the Qur’an.
