هذا الكتاب مختصر في علم مصطلح الحديث، وضعه مؤلفه استجابة لطلب بعض الإخوان، ليلخص لهم المهم من قواعد هذا الفن. يبدأ بتقسيم الخبر من حيث عدد طرقه إلى المتواتر والمشهور والعزيز والغريب، ثم ينتقل لبيان أنواع الحديث من حيث القبول والرد، متناولاً أسباب الطعن في الرواة كالسقط والوهم والجهالة وسوء الحفظ، ويختتم بفصول في صيغ الأداء ومعرفة الكنى وغيرها من مباحث علم الإسناد والرواة.
Translation
This is a brief book on the science of hadith terminology. Its author wrote it in response to a request from some of the Brotherhood, to summarize for them the important rules of this art. It begins by dividing the narration in terms of the number of its ways into the frequent, the famous, the dear, and the strange. Then it moves on to explain the types of hadith in terms of acceptance and rejection, addressing the reasons for challenging narrators such as omissions, illusion, ignorance, and poor memorization. It concludes with chapters on forms of performance, knowledge of nicknames, and other topics in the science of attribution and narrators.
