The book on the languages ​​of the tribes mentioned in the Qur’an. Its author is: Abu Ubaid al-Qasim bin Salam. Abu Ubaid sought knowledge, heard hadith, studied literature, and studied jurisprudence. He resided in Baghdad for a period, then Patrosus became judge, and after that he went to Mecca, where he lived there until he died. Among his books are: Gharib al-Hadith, Book of Money, and Proverbs. He died in the year 224 AH. Al-Khatib al-Baghdadi said about him: “He was one of the imams in the religion and one of the most prominent scholars of the Muslims.” Al-Dhahabi said about him: “One of the scholars of Baghdad, grammatical hadith scholars according to the doctrine of the Kufans, narrators of the language and strangers, on the authority of the Basrans, the Kufans, and scholars of readings, and those who collected types of knowledge, and compiled books in every art of science and literature, and more.” …
