الإبانة عن معاني القراءات هو كتاب من تأليف مكي بن أبي طالب في معاني القراءات وفوائدها وذكر غرائب معانيها، وكذلك شرح لحديث: «أنزل القرآن على سبعة أحرف»، كما تكمن أهمية الكتاب بأنه متصل بكتابه «الكشف عن وجوه القراءات». وقد تميز كتاب الإبانة لأبي محمد مكي القيسي بعدة مميزات دلت على أهميته منها: كون مؤلف الكتاب من العلماء المتقدمين إذ توفي في القرن الخامس الهجري، وكذلك ثناء عدد من العلماء على مؤلف الكتاب، وهو أيضا من الكتب المعتمدة للمتخصصين في القراءات، وقد نقل عدد من علماء القراءات عنه مثل: بدر الدين الزركشي في كتابه البرهان في علوم القرآن، وابن الجزري وعنهما نقل السيوطي في كتابه الإتقان. …

Explaining the Meanings of Recitations is a book written by Makki bin Abi Talib about the meanings of recitations and their benefits and mentioning the strange meanings of them, as well as an explanation of the hadith: “The Qur’an was revealed in seven letters.” The importance of the book also lies in the fact that it is connected to his book “Revealing the Faces of Recitations.” The book Al-Ibanah by Abu Muhammad Makki Al-Qaisi was distinguished by several features that indicated its importance, including: the fact that the author of the book was one of the advanced scholars, as he died in the fifth century AH, as well as the praise of a number of scholars for the author of the book, and it is also one of the approved books for specialists in recitations, and a number of recitation scholars have quoted from him, such as: Badr Al-Din Al-Zarkashi in his book Al-Burhan fi Ulum Al-Qur’an, and Ibn Al-Jazari, from whom Al-Suyuti transmitted in his book Al-Itqan. …
