About this work
كتاب في علوم القرآن يختص برسم المصاحف وضبط حروفها، جمع فيه مؤلفه ما رواه عن شيوخه من مرسوم خطوط مصاحف أهل الأمصار (المدينة، مكة، الكوفة، البصرة، الشام) وما اختلفت فيه أو اتفقت عليه، مرتبًا ذلك في أبواب وفصول تتناول الحذف والإثبات للألف والياء والواو والهمزة، وأحكام القطع والوصل وهاءات التأنيث، مع ذكر الأخبار والسنن المتعلقة بجمع القرآن وكتابة المصاحف.
Translation
A book on the sciences of the Qur’an, specializing in drawing the Qur’an and controlling its letters. In it, its author collected what he narrated from his sheikhs regarding the decree of the scripts of the Qur’an of the people of the cities (Medina, Mecca, Kufa, Basra, and the Levant) and what they differed or agreed upon, arranging that in sections and chapters that deal with the deletion and confirmation of the alif, yā, waw, and hamza, and the rulings on cutting, connecting, and feminizing ha’s, with mentioning the news and Sunnahs related to the compilation and writing of the Qur’an.
