About this work
هذا الكتاب من تأليف أبي عمرو الداني في علوم القرآن، ويُعنى ببيان أصول نقط المصاحف وضبطها وفقًا لألفاظ التلاوة ومذاهب القراءة. يبدأ المؤلف بذكر الخلاف فيمن ابتدأ بنقط المصاحف من التابعين، ومن كره ذلك ومن ترخص فيه، ثم ينتقل إلى تفصيل أحكام الحركات وعلامات السكون والتشديد، وأحكام النون الساكنة والمدغم والمظهر، وغير ذلك من مسائل الضبط والإعراب المتعلقة برسم المصحف.
Translation
This book, written by Abu Amr al-Dani, is about the sciences of the Qur’an. It is concerned with explaining the origins of the points of the Qur’an and setting them according to the terms of recitation and the doctrines of reading. The author begins by mentioning the disagreement regarding those among the Followers who began to dot the Qur’an, those who disliked it, and those who permitted it. Then he moves on to detailing the rulings on vowels, signs of sukun and stress, the rulings on the silent noon, assimilation, and appearance, and other issues of control and parsing related to drawing the Qur’an.
