Translation
The book “Tahbir al-Taysir fi al-Qira’at al-Ten” by Ibn al-Jazari is a book on the sciences of the Qur’an. It aims to explain and expand the book “Al-Taysir” by Abu Amr al-Dani in the Seven Qira’at, while adding the other three readings to complete the ten readings. The author begins by mentioning his lineage and status, then addresses the names of the reciters and those who transmitted them, and details the provisions of intonation and recitation, such as seeking refuge, naming, assimilation, extending and shortening, hamzat, tilting, and pausing, in order to correct the misconceptions about limiting the correct readings to what was stated in the books Al-Taysir and Al-Shatibiyyah only.
