The story of the debate in the Qur’an with some heretics

This is a book on the sciences of the Qur’an, written by Imam Muwaffaq al-Din al-Maqdisi, and it contains a debate that took place between him and some heretics about the nature of the Holy Qur’an. The author explains at the beginning that he did not want to write the debate as a story for fear of addition or subtraction, but rather he intended to mention the areas of disagreement between him and them, as he believes that the Qur’an is the word of God and that it is these surahs and verses that are recited, heard and written, while his opponents see that these surahs are not the Qur’an but rather an expression of it and a story of it, and that they were created.
