يُعنى هذا الكتاب بدراسة دور الوقف الإسلامي في خدمة القرآن الكريم عبر العصور، متتبعًا تطور المؤسسات المعنية به كالمساجد والكتاتيب والمدارس القرآنية. يستعرض المؤلف مشروعية الوقف وأهداف الواقفين، مسلطًا الضوء على نماذج تاريخية للأوقاف المخصصة لتعليم القرآن وتلاوته وطباعته، مع إيراد ملاحق توثق بعض المدارس القرآنية في دمشق والقاهرة.

Translation

This book is concerned with studying the role of the Islamic Endowment in serving the Holy Qur’an throughout the ages, tracing the development of the institutions concerned with it, such as mosques, libraries, and Quranic schools. The author reviews the legitimacy of the endowment and the goals of the endowments, highlighting historical examples of endowments dedicated to teaching, reciting, and printing the Qur’an, with appendices documenting some Quranic schools in Damascus and Cairo.
