Translation

This book deals with the fundamentalist opinions of Imam Abu Abbas Ahmad bin Omar bin Surayj in Shafi’i jurisprudence, and reviews his scientific standing among the scholars of his time and his influence on the Shafi’i doctrine. The author focuses on studying the fundamentalist sayings of Ibn Surayj by collecting them from multiple books on the principles of jurisprudence, and explains the reasons that prompted him to study the opinions of this eminent scholar and present them in a separate book. The book aims to show the importance of Ibn Surayj in the science of principles and his role in renewing the Shafi’i doctrine in the third century AH.
