About this work
البرهان في أصول الفقه هو رسالة من القرن الثاني عشر كتبها أبو المعالي الجويني إمام أصول الفقه في عصره. وهو عمل يحظى بتقدير كبير للجويني في أصول الفقه. ويعتبر أحد الأركان الأربعة في مجال النظرية القانونية. الثلاثة الآخرون هم: 1. أبو حامد الغزالي الذي ألف المستصفى من علم الأصول؛ 2. القاضي عبد الجبار الذي ألف «العمد»؛ 3. أبو الحسين البصري الذي ألف «المعتمد» (شرح كتاب العمد).
Translation
Al-Burhan fi Usul al-Fiqh is a twelfth-century treatise written by Abu al-Ma’ali al-Juwayni, the imam of the fundamentals of jurisprudence in his time. It is a highly regarded work by Al-Juwayni on the principles of jurisprudence. It is considered one of the four pillars in the field of legal theory. The other three are: 1. Abu Hamid Al-Ghazali, who wrote Al-Mustasfa from Ilm Al-Usul; 2. Judge Abdul Jabbar, who wrote “Al-Amad”; 3. Abu Al-Hussein Al-Basri, who wrote “Al-Mu’tamid” (Explanation of the Book of Al-Amad).
