اللمع في أصول الفقه كتاب في علم أصول الفقه على المذهب الشافعي، مؤلفه أبو إسحاق الشيرازي، طلب منه بعض إخوانه في أن يصنف لهم مختصراً في أصول المذهب، فاستجاب لطلبهم وقام بوضع كتابه هذا، وقد اختصر فيه المصنف كتابه «التبصرة في أصول الفقه». قال مؤلفه: «سألنى بعض إخواني أن أصنف مختصرا في المذهب، في أصول الفقه ليكون ذلك مضافا إلى ما عملت من التبصرة، في الخلاف فأجبته إلى ذلك إيجابا لمسألته وقضاء لحقه، وأشرت فيه إلى ذكر الخلاف وما لابد منه من الدليل، فربما وقع ذلك إلى من ليس عنده ماعملت من الخلاف». وقد بدأ في تصنيفه سنة 455هـ وفرغ منه في سنة 469هـ، يشتمل الكتاب على كثير من الأدلة. …

Translation

Al-Lam’ fi Usul al-Fiqh is a book on the science of the fundamentals of jurisprudence based on the Shafi’i school of thought. Its author is Abu Ishaq al-Shirazi. Some of his brothers asked him to compile for them a summary of the fundamentals of the school of thought. He responded to their request and wrote this book, in which the compiler summarized his book “Al-Tabisrah fi Usul al-Fiqh.” Its author said: “Some of my brothers asked me to compile a summary of the doctrine, on the principles of jurisprudence, so that this would be in addition to the insight I had done on the dispute, so I answered him with that in response to his question and fulfillment of his right, and I pointed out in it a mention of the dispute and the necessary evidence, so perhaps this may have occurred to someone who did not have what I had done on the dispute.” He began compiling it in the year 455 AH and finished it in the year 469 AH.
