This book, “Summary of Fundamental Principles,” by Hafez Thana Allah Al-Zahidi, deals with the subject of the principles of jurisprudence and its rules, as it focuses on the analysis of fundamental terminology and methods of inference from legal texts. The book begins by providing a definition of the principles of jurisprudence, its subject matter, and its benefits. Then it moves on to explaining the methods of deduction from texts according to the different schools of jurisprudence, with a focus on the jurisprudential statements deduced from the Qur’an and Sunnah. The book is part of a scientific project to consolidate the correct fundamentalist awareness among students of science, while alerting to deviant opinions in jurisprudence and the importance of freedom from jurisprudential rigidity.
