Hadith 3,382Musnad Ahmad

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَكُنَّا نُسَلِّمُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَيَرُدُّ عَلَيْنَا فَلَمَّا رَجَعْنَا مِنْ عِنْدِ النَّجَاشِيِّ سَلَّمْنَا عَلَيْهِ فَلَمْ يَرُدَّ عَلَيْنَا فَقُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كُنَّا نُسَلِّمُ عَلَيْكَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَتَرُدُّ عَلَيْنَا فَقَالَ إِنَّ فِيَّ أَوْ فِي الصَّلَاةِ لَشُغْلًا

Muhammad bin Fudayl told us, Al-Amash told us, on the authority of Ibrahim, on the authority of Alqamah, on the authority of Abdullah. He said: We greeted the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. While he was in prayer, he responded to us. When we returned from Al-Najashi, we greeted him, but he did not respond to us. So we said, O Messenger of God, we were greeting you in prayer. Then he responded to us and said, “There is a preoccupation in prayer or in me.”

Hadith 3,384Musnad Ahmad

حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ الْهَيْثَمِ أَبُو قَطَنٍ حَدَّثَنَا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍأَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ مَتَى لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ قَالَ مَنْ يَذْكُرُ مِنْكُمْ لَيْلَةَ الصَّهْبَاوَاتِ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ أَنَا بِأَبِي أَنْتَ وَأُمِّي وَإِنَّ فِي يَدِي لَتَمَرَاتٍ أَسْتَحِرُ بِهِنَّ مُسْتَتِرًا بِمُؤْخِرَةِ رَحْلِي مِنْ الْفَجْرِ وَذَلِكَ حِينَ طَلَعَ الْقَمَرُ

Amr bin Al-Haytham Abu Qatn narrated to us, Al-Masudi narrated to us, on the authority of Sa’id bin Amr, on the authority of Abu Ubaidah, on the authority of Abdullah bin Masoud, that A man came to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and said, “When is Laylat al-Qadr?” He said, “Who among you remembers the Night of the Reds?” Abdullah said, “I beg your pardon. And my mother, I have in my hand a number of dates with which I use to cover myself at the back of my saddle from dawn, and that is when the moon rises.

Hadith 3,385Musnad Ahmad

حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ الْهَيْثَمِ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّى الظُّهْرَ خَمْسًا فَقِيلَ زِيدَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ قِيلَ صَلَّيْتَ خَمْسًا فَسَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ

Amr bin Al-Haytham told us, Shu’bah told us, on the authority of Al-Hakam, on the authority of Ibrahim, on the authority of Alqamah, on the authority of Abdullah, that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, prayed It was five noon prayers, so it was said to Zayd in the prayer, it was said, “You have prayed five times”, so he prostrated two prostrations.

Hadith 3,387Musnad Ahmad

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي زِيَادُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَعْقِلِ بْنِ مُقَرِّنٍ قَالَدَخَلْتُ مَعَ أَبِي عَلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ فَقَالَ أَنْتَ سَمِعْتَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ النَّدَمُ تَوْبَةٌ قَالَ نَعَمْ وَقَالَ مَرَّةً سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ النَّدَمُ تَوْبَةٌ

Sufyan told us on the authority of Abdul Karim, he said: Ziyad bin Abi Maryam told me on the authority of Abdullah bin Maqil bin Muqrin, he said: I entered with my father on Abdullah bin Masoud, and he said, “You heard the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, say that regret is repentance.” He said yes, and he once said, “I heard him say regret is repentance.”

Hadith 3,388Musnad Ahmad

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ ذَرٍّ عَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ مَهَانَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ تَصَدَّقْنَ يَا مَعْشَرَ النِّسَاءِ وَلَوْ مِنْ حُلِيِّكُنَّ فَإِنَّكُنَّ أَكْثَرُ أَهْلِ النَّارِ فَقَامَتْ امْرَأَةٌ لَيْسَتْ مِنْ عِلْيَةِ النِّسَاءِ فَقَالَتْ لِمَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ لِأَنَّكُنَّ تُكْثِرْنَ اللَّعْنَ وَتَكْفُرْنَ الْعَشِيرَ

Sufyan told us, on the authority of Mansour, on the authority of Dhar, on the authority of Wa’il bin Mahana, on the authority of Abdullah bin Masoud, that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said O women, give in charity, even if it is your jewellery, for you will be the majority of the people of Hell. Then a woman who was not of the rank of women rose up and said, “Why, O Messenger of God?” He said, “Because you curse frequently and disbelieve your spouse.”

Hadith 3,389Musnad Ahmad

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَجَدَهُمَا بَعْدَ السَّلَامِ وَقَالَ مَرَّةً إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَجَدَ السَّجْدَتَيْنِ فِي السَّهْوِ بَعْدَ السَّلَامِ

Sufyan told us, on the authority of Mansour, on the authority of Ibrahim, on the authority of Alqamah, on the authority of Abdullah, that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, prostrated them after greeting them and said once: The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, performed the two prostrations of forgetfulness after the greeting of peace.

Hadith 3,391Musnad Ahmad

حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ أَبِي النَّجُودِ عَنْ زِرِّ بْنِ حُبَيْشٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا تَنْقَضِي الْأَيَّامُ وَلَا يَذْهَبُ الدَّهْرُ حَتَّى يَمْلِكَ الْعَرَبَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي اسْمُهُ يُوَاطِئُ اسْمِي

Omar bin Ubaid told us, on the authority of Asim bin Abi Al-Najood, on the authority of Zirr bin Hubaysh, on the authority of Abdullah, who said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “No.” Days will pass and time will not pass until a man from my family whose name is the same as my name will rule the Arabs.

Hadith 4,863Musnad Ahmad

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَشَارَ بِيَدِهِ نَحْوَ الْمَشْرِقِ فَقَالَ هَا إِنَّ الْفِتَنَ مِنْ هَاهُنَا إِنَّ الْفِتَنَ مِنْ هَاهُنَا إِنَّ الْفِتَنَ مِنْ هَاهُنَا مِنْ حَيْثُ يَطْلُعُ قَرْنُ الشَّيْطَانِ

Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Zubayri told us, Sufyan told us, on the authority of Abdullah bin Dinar, I heard Ibn Umar say: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said He saluted and pointed with his hand towards the east and said, “Behold, the tribulations are from here. Indeed, the turmoil is from here. Indeed, the turmoil is from here, from where the century will arise.” Satan

Hadith 4,865Musnad Ahmad

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَوَقَّتَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِأَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ ذَا الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَلِأَهْلِ نَجْدٍ قَرْنًا وَلِأَهْلِ الشَّأْمِ الْجُحْفَةَ وَقَالَ هَؤُلَاءِ الثَّلَاثُ حَفِظْتُهُنَّ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَحُدِّثْتُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ وَلِأَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ يَلَمْلَمُ فَقِيلَ لَهُ الْعِرَاقُ قَالَ لَمْ يَكُنْ يَوْمَئِذٍ عِرَاقٌ

Muhammad bin Abdullah told us, Sufyan told us, on the authority of Abdullah bin Dinar, on the authority of Ibn Umar, at the time of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. For the people of Medina, Dhu al-Hulayfah, for the people of Najd, Qarn, and for the people of Syria, al-Juhfa. And these three said, “I protected them from the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace.” May God bless him and grant him peace. It was narrated that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “And to the people of Yemen, Yalamlam.” He was told, “Iraq.” He said, “It was not.” On that day, Iraq

Hadith 4,866Musnad Ahmad

حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا مَرْثَدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَامِرٍ الْهُنَائِيَّ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عَمْرٍو النَّدَبِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ قَالَسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَيَعْجَبُ مِنْ الصَّلَاةِ فِي الْجَمِيعِ

Yunus bin Muhammad told us, Marthad told us, meaning Ibn Amir al-Hinai, Abu Amr al-Nadbi told me, Abdullah bin Omar bin al-Khattab told me, He said: I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, saying that God is amazed at everyone’s prayer.

Hadith 4,867Musnad Ahmad

حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَعْشَرٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَمَرَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِطَعَامٍ وَقَدْ حَسَّنَهُ صَاحِبُهُ فَأَدْخَلَ يَدَهُ فِيهِ فَإِذَا طَعَامٌ رَدِيءٌ فَقَالَ بِعْ هَذَا عَلَى حِدَةٍ وَهَذَا عَلَى حِدَةٍ فَمَنْ غَشَّنَا فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا

Khalaf bin Al-Walid told us, Abu Ma’shar told us, on the authority of Nafi’, on the authority of Ibn Umar, who said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, ordered food, and he had done it well. Its owner put his hand into it, and behold, it was bad food. Then he said, “Sell this one separately, and this one separately, for whoever deceives us is not one of us.”

Hadith 4,869Musnad Ahmad

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ ثَابِتِ بْنِ ثَوْبَانَ حَدَّثَنَا حَسَّانُ بْنُ عَطِيَّةَ عَنْ أَبِي مُنِيبٍ الْجُرَشِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بُعِثْتُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ السَّاعَةِ بِالسَّيْفِ حَتَّى يُعْبَدَ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ وَجُعِلَ رِزْقِي تَحْتَ ظِلِّ رُمْحِي وَجُعِلَ الذِّلَّةُ وَالصَّغَارُ عَلَى مَنْ خَالَفَ أَمْرِي وَمَنْ تَشَبَّهَ بِقَوْمٍ فَهُوَ مِنْهُمْ

Abu Al-Nadr told us, Abdul Rahman bin Thabit bin Thaban told us, Hassan bin Atiya told us, on the authority of Abu Munib Al-Jarashi, on the authority of Ibn Umar. The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “I was sent before the Hour with the sword so that God alone, with no partner, will be worshiped, and my livelihood will be placed under the shade.” My spear, and I will bestow humiliation and oppression upon whoever disobeys my command, and whoever imitates a people is one of them.

Hadith 4,870Musnad Ahmad

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ أَخْبَرَنَا لَيْثٌ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّى فِي الْبَيْتِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ

Ismail told us, Laith told us, on the authority of Mujahid, on the authority of Ibn Imran, that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, prayed two rak’ahs in the House.

Hadith 4,872Musnad Ahmad

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَعَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَا حَقُّ امْرِئٍ يَبِيتُ لَيْلَتَيْنِ وَلَهُ مَا يُرِيدُ أَنْ يُوصِيَ فِيهِ إِلَّا وَوَصِيَّتُهُ مَكْتُوبَةٌ عِنْدَهُ

Ismail told us, Ayoub told us, on the authority of Nafi’, on the authority of Ibn Amr’an, the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said, “A person has no right to stay for two nights and has what he has.” He wants to make a will about it unless his will is written with him.

Hadith 4,873Musnad Ahmad

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ أَخْبَرَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنِ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ أَحْسِبُهُ قَدْ رَفَعَهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَإِذَا مَاتَ أَحَدُكُمْ يُعْرَضُ عَلَيْهِ مَقْعَدُهُ غُدْوَةً وَعَشِيَّةً إِنْ كَانَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ فَمِنْ الْجَنَّةِ وَإِنْ كَانَ مِنْ أَهْلِ النَّارِ فَمِنْ النَّارِ يُقَالُ هَذَا مَقْعَدُكَ حَتَّى تُبْعَثَ إِلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

Ismail told us, Ayyub told us, on the authority of Nafi’, on the authority of Ibn Umar. He said, “I think he had submitted it to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. He said, ‘When he dies One of you will be offered his seat morning and evening. If he is from the people of Paradise, then from Paradise, and if he is from the people of Hell, then from Hell. This is said. Your seat until you are resurrected to it on the Day of Resurrection.

Hadith 4,874Musnad Ahmad

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ أَخْبَرَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ نَافِعٍأَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ اسْتُصْرِخَ عَلَى صَفِيَّةَ فَسَارَ فِي تِلْكَ اللَّيْلَةِ مَسِيرَةَ ثَلَاثِ لَيَالٍ سَارَ حَتَّى أَمْسَى فَقُلْتُ الصَّلَاةَ فَسَارَ وَلَمْ يَلْتَفِتْ فَسَارَ حَتَّى أَظْلَمَ فَقَالَ لَهُ سَالِمٌ أَوْ رَجُلٌ الصَّلَاةَ وَقَدْ أَمْسَيْتَ فَقَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا عَجِلَ بِهِ السَّيْرُ جَمَعَ مَا بَيْنَ هَاتَيْنِ الصَّلَاتَيْنِ وَإِنِّي أُرِيدُ أَنْ أَجْمَعَ بَيْنَهُمَا فَسِيرُوا فَسَارَ حَتَّى غَابَ الشَّفَقُ ثُمَّ نَزَلَ فَجَمَعَ بَيْنَهُمَا

Ismail told us, Ayyub told us on the authority of Nafi’, that Ibn Umar shouted for Safiyya, so he walked that night for three nights until It was evening, so I said the prayer, and he walked away and did not turn around, so he walked until it was dark, and Salem or a man said to him, “The prayer has passed in the evening,” and he said, “The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace.” And when he hastened to walk, he would join these two prayers, and I wanted to join them, so they walked and he walked until twilight disappeared, then he came down and joined them. Hadith 4,876Musnad Ahmad

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ عَطَاءٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَلِيًّا الْأَزْدِيَّ يُحَدِّثُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يُحَدِّثُعَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ صَلَاةُ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ مَثْنَى مَثْنَىوَكَانَ شُعْبَةُ يَفْرَقُهُ

Muhammad ibn Ja`far narrated to us, Shu`bah narrated to us, on the authority of Ali ibn Ata, that he heard Ali al-Azdi speaking that he heard Ibn Umar speaking about the Prophet. May God’s prayers and peace be upon him. He said the night and day prayers, two by two, and Shu’bah was separating him.

Hadith 6,552Musnad Ahmad

حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ حَدَّثَنَا عَطَاءُ بْنُ السَّائِبِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍوأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ اعْبُدُوا الرَّحْمَنَ وَأَفْشُوا السَّلَامَ وَأَطْعِمُوا الطَّعَامَ وَادْخُلُوا الْجِنَانَ

Affan told us, Hammam told us, Ata bin Al-Sa’ib told us, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Abdullah bin Amr, and that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said Worship the Most Gracious, spread peace, provide food, and enter Paradise

Hadith 6,553Musnad Ahmad

حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍوأَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَلِمُحَمَّدٍ وَحْدَنَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَقَدْ حَجَبْتَهَا عَنْ نَاسٍ كَثِيرٍ

Affan told us, Hammad bin Salamah told us, on the authority of Ata’ bin Al-Sa’ib, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Abdullah bin Amr, and that a man said, “O God, forgive me.” And to Muhammad alone, and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “You have withheld it from many people.”

Hadith 6,555Musnad Ahmad

حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ الْأَلْهَانِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي رَاشِدٍ الْحُبْرَانِيِّ قَالَأَتَيْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ حَدِّثْنَا مَا سَمِعْتَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَلْقَى بَيْنَ يَدَيَّ صَحِيفَةً فَقَالَ هَذَا مَا كَتَبَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَنَظَرْتُ فِيهَا فَإِذَا فِيهَا أَنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقَ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ عَلِّمْنِي مَا أَقُولُ إِذَا أَصْبَحْتُ وَإِذَا أَمْسَيْتُ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَا أَبَا بَكْرٍ قُلْ اللَّهُمَّ فَاطِرَ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ عَالِمَ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ رَبَّ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَمَلِيكَهُ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ نَفْسِي وَمِنْ شَرِّ الشَّيْطَانِ وَشِرْكِهِ وَأَنْ أَقْتَرِفَ عَلَى نَفْسِي سُوءًا أَوْ أَجُرَّهُ إِلَى مُسْلِمٍ

Khalaf bin Al-Walid narrated to us, Ibn Ayyash narrated to us, on the authority of Muhammad bin Ziyad Al-Alahani, on the authority of Abu Rashid Al-Habrani, I said, “I came to Abdullah bin Amr bin Al-Aas, so I said to him, “Tell us what you heard from the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace.” He threw a newspaper in my hands and said, “This is what he wrote to me.” The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and I looked in it and found in it that Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq said, O Messenger of God, teach me what to say when I wake up in the morning. And when the evening came, the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said to him, “O Abu Bakr, say, O God, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the unseen and the seen.” There is no god but You, the Lord of everything and its Sovereign.
