حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ أَنَّهُ بَلَغَهُأَنَّ عِيَاضَ بْنَ غَنْمٍ رَأَى نَبَطًا يُشَمَّسُونَ فِي الْجِزْيَةِ فَقَالَ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى يُعَذِّبُ الَّذِينَ يُعَذِّبُونَ النَّاسَ فِي الدُّنْيَا

Othman bin Omar told us, he said: Yunus told us, on the authority of Al-Zuhri, on the authority of Urwa, that he had heard that Iyaad bin Ghanam saw Nabataeans sunbathing in He said: I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, saying that God, Blessed and Most High, punishes those who torture people in this world.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ أَخْبَرَنِي عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِأَنَّ هِشَامَ بْنَ حَكِيمِ بْنِ حِزَامٍ وَجَدَ عِيَاضَ بْنَ غَنْمٍ وَهُوَ عَلَى حِمْصَ يُشَمِّسُ نَاسًا مِنْ النَّبَطِ فِي أَدَاءِ الْجِزْيَةِ فَقَالَ لَهُ هِشَامٌ مَا هَذَا يَا عِيَاضُ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى يُعَذِّبُ الَّذِينَ يُعَذِّبُونَ النَّاسَ فِي الدُّنْيَا

Abu Al-Yaman told us, Shuaib told us on the authority of Al-Zuhri, Urwa bin Al-Zubair told me that Hisham bin Hakim bin Hazzam found Iyad bin He was on a sheep farm, sunbathing with Nabataean people while they were paying tribute, and Hisham said to him, “O Iyad, what is this? Indeed, I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace.” He, peace and blessings be upon him, says that God, Blessed and Most High, tortures those who torture people in this world.

حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَخِي ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عَمِّهِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِأَنَّ عِيَاضَ بْنَ غَنْمٍ وَهِشَامَ بْنَ حَكِيمِ بْنِ حِزَامٍ مَرَّا بِعَامِلِ حِمْصَ وَهُوَ يُشَمِّسُ أَنْبَاطًا فِي الشَّمْسِ فَقَالَ أَحَدُهُمَا لِلْعَامِلِ مَا هَذَا يَا فُلَانُ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى يُعَذِّبُ الَّذِينَ يُعَذِّبُونَ النَّاسَ فِي الدُّنْيَا

Yaqoub bin Ibrahim bin Saad told us, my nephew Ibn Shihab told us, on the authority of his uncle, he said: Urwa bin Al-Zubair told me that Iyad bin Sheep and Hisham bin Hakim bin Hazzam passed by a worker of Homs while he was sunbathing Nabataeans in the sun, and one of them said to the worker, “What is this, so-and-so?” I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, saying that God, Blessed and Most High, punishes those who torture people in this world.

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ رَبِيعِ بْنِ سَبْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ مُتْعَةِ النِّسَاءِ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ

حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ سَبْرَةَ الْجُهَنِيُّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا بَلَغَ الْغُلَامُ سَبْعَ سِنِينَ أُمِرَ بِالصَّلَاةِ فَإِذَا بَلَغَ عَشْرًا ضُرِبَ عَلَيْهَا

Zayd ibn al-Hubab narrated to us, Abd al-Malik ibn al-Rabi’ ibn Sabrah al-Juhani narrated to me, on the authority of his father, on the authority of his grandfather, the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: When the boy reached seven years of age, he was commanded to pray, and when he reached ten years of age, he was instructed to pray.

حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدٌ أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ سَبْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا صَلَّى أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَسْتَتِرْ لِصَلَاتِهِ وَلَوْ بِسَهْمٍ

Zayd told us: Abd al-Malik ibn al-Rabi’ ibn Sabra told me, on the authority of his father, on the authority of his grandfather, who said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: When he prays One of you should cover himself for his prayer, even with an arrow.

حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ سَبْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سُتْرَةُ الرَّجُلِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ السَّهْمُ وَإِذَا صَلَّى أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَسْتَتِرْ بِسَهْمٍ

Yaqoub bin Ibrahim told us, Abd al-Malik bin al-Rabi’ bin Sabra told us, on the authority of his father, on the authority of his grandfather, the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: And when one of you prays, let him cover himself with an arrow.

قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ سَبْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِأَنَّهُ قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ نُصَلِّيَ فِي أَعْطَانِ الْإِبِلِ وَرَخَّصَ أَنْ نُصَلِّيَ فِي مُرَاحِ الْغَنَمِ وَنَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الْمُتْعَةِ

He said: Ya’qub told us: Abd al-Malik Ibn al-Rabi’ Ibn Sabrah told us, on the authority of his father, on the authority of his grandfather, that he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, forbade He permitted us to pray in camel pens, and permitted us to pray in sheep pens, and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, forbade mut’ah.

حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُمَارَةُ بْنُ غَزِيَّةَ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سَبْرَةَ الْجُهَنِيُّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَخَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ فَأَقَمْنَا خَمْسَ عَشْرَةَ مِنْ بَيْنِ لَيْلَةٍ وَيَوْمٍ قَالَ قَالَ فَأَذِنَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْمُتْعَةِ قَالَ وَخَرَجْتُ أَنَا وَابْنُ عَمٍّ لِي فِي أَسْفَلِ مَكَّةَ أَوْ قَالَ فِي أَعْلَى مَكَّةَ فَلَقِينَا فَتَاةً مِنْ بَنِي عَامِرِ بْنِ صَعْصَعَةَ كَأَنَّهَا الْبَكْرَةُ الْعَنَطْنَطَةُ قَالَ وَأَنَا قَرِيبٌ مِنْ الدَّمَامَةِ وَعَلَيَّ بُرْدٌ جَدِيدٌ غَضٌّ وَعَلَى ابْنِ عَمِّي بُرْدٌ خَلَقٌ قَالَ فَقُلْنَا لَهَا هَلْ لَكِ أَنْ يَسْتَمْتِعَ مِنْكِ أَحَدُنَا قَالَتْ وَهَلْ يَصْلُحُ ذَلِكَ قَالَ قُلْنَا نَعَمْ قَالَ فَجَعَلَتْ تَنْظُرُ إِلَى ابْنِ عَمِّي فَقُلْتُ لَهَا إِنَّ بُرْدِي هَذَا جَدِيدٌ غَضٌّ وَبُرْدَ ابْنِ عَمِّي هَذَا خَلَقٌ مَحٌّ قَالَتْ بُرْدُ ابْنِ عَمِّكَ هَذَا لَا بَأْسَ بِهِ قَالَ فَاسْتَمْتَعَ مِنْهَا فَلَمْ نَخْرُجْ مِنْ مَكَّةَ حَتَّى حَرَّمَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

Affan narrated to us, Wahib narrated to us, he said, Ammarah bin Ghaziyah Al-Ansari narrated to us, he said: Al-Rabi’ bin Sabra Al-Juhani narrated to us, on the authority of his father. He said, “We went out with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, on the day of the conquest, and we stayed for fifteen nights and days.” He said, “So the Messenger gave permission.” God, may God bless him and grant him peace, in Mut’ah. He said, “I and a cousin of mine went out at the bottom of Mecca, or he said at the top of Mecca, and we met a girl from Bani Mecca.” Aamir ibn Sa`sa’ah said, “As if she were a ripe wheat virgin.” He said, “And I am near Dammamah, and upon me is a fresh, fresh hail, and upon my cousin is a fresh hail.” He said So we said to her, “Can one of us entertain you?” She said, “Is that okay?” We said, “Yes.” He said, “And she started looking at my cousin.” So I told her, “This cloak of mine is new and fresh, and this cloak of my cousin is fresh and tender.” She said, “This cloak of yours is fine.” He said, “Enjoy.” We did not leave Mecca until the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, declared it sacred.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ رَبِّهِ بْنَ سَعِيدٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ عَنِ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ سَبْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ يُقَالُ لَهُ السَّبْرِيُّعَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ أَمَرَهُمْ بِالْمُتْعَةِ قَالَ فَخَطَبْتُ أَنَا وَرَجُلٌ امْرَأَةً قَالَ فَلَقِيتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعْدَ ثَلَاثٍ فَإِذَا هُوَ يُحَرِّمُهَا أَشَدَّ التَّحْرِيمِ وَيَقُولُ فِيهَا أَشَدَّ الْقَوْلِ وَيَنْهَى عَنْهَا أَشَدَّ النَّهْيِ

Muhammad ibn Ja`far narrated to us, Shu`bah narrated to us, he said: I heard Abd Rabbuh ibn Sa`id speaking on the authority of Abd al-Aziz ibn Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz On the authority of Al-Rabi’ ibn Sabra, on the authority of his father, who is called Al-Sabray’, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, that he commanded them to have sexual intercourse. He said, “So a man and I got engaged.” A woman. He said, “I met the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, after three days, and behold, he made her forbidden in the strictest of terms, and said about her in the strictest terms, and forbade It has the most severe prohibition

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنِ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ سَبْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَنَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ نِكَاحِ الْمُتْعَةِ

Sufyan bin Uyaynah told us on the authority of Al-Zuhri on the authority of Al-Rabi’ bin Sabrah on the authority of his father. The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, forbade marriage The pleasure

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سَبْرَةَ الْجُهَنِيُّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَخَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَلَمَّا قَضَيْنَا عُمْرَتَنَا قَالَ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اسْتَمْتِعُوا مِنْ هَذِهِ النِّسَاءِ قَالَ وَالِاسْتِمْتَاعُ عِنْدَنَا يَوْمُ التَّزْوِيجِ قَالَ فَعَرَضْنَا ذَلِكَ عَلَى النِّسَاءِ فَأَبَيْنَ إِلَّا أَنْ يُضْرَبَ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَهُنَّ أَجَلًا قَالَ فَذَكَرْنَا ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ افْعَلُوا فَانْطَلَقْتُ أَنَا وَابْنُ عَمٍّ لِي وَمَعَهُ بُرْدَةٌ وَمَعِي بُرْدَةٌ وَبُرْدَتُهُ أَجْوَدُ مِنْ بُرْدَتِي وَأَنَا أَشَبُّ مِنْهُ فَأَتَيْنَا امْرَأَةً فَعَرَضْنَا ذَلِكَ عَلَيْهَا فَأَعْجَبَهَا شَبَابِي وَأَعْجَبَهَا بُرْدُ ابْنِ عَمِّي فَقَالَتْ بُرْدٌ كَبُرْدٍ قَالَ فَتَزَوَّجْتُهَا فَكَانَ الْأَجَلُ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهَا عَشْرًا قَالَ فَبِتُّ عِنْدَهَا تِلْكَ اللَّيْلَةَ ثُمَّ أَصْبَحْتُ غَادِيًا إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ فَإِذَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَيْنَ الْبَابِ وَالْحَجَرِ يَخْطُبُ النَّاسَ يَقُولُ أَلَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ قَدْ كُنْتُ أَذِنْتُ لَكُمْ فِي الِاسْتِمْتَاعِ مِنْ هَذِهِ النِّسَاءِ أَلَا وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى قَدْ حَرَّمَ ذَلِكَ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ فَمَنْ كَانَ عِنْدَهُ مِنْهُنَّ شَيْءٌ فَلْيُخَلِّ سَبِيلَهَا وَلَا تَأْخُذُوا مِمَّا آتَيْتُمُوهُنَّ شَيْئًا

Waki’ told us, Abdul Aziz told us, he said Al-Rabi’ ibn Sabrah Al-Juhani told me on the authority of his father, who said: We went out with the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him. And when we had completed our Umrah, the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said to us, “Have fun with these women.” He said, “And enjoyment with us on the Day of Resurrection.” Marriage. He said, “So We offered that to the women, but they refused, unless a term be set between us and them.” He said, “Then we mentioned that to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace.” So he said, “Do it.” So I and my cousin set off, and he has a cloak, and I have another cloak, and his cloak is better than mine, and I am younger than him, so we came. A woman, so we showed that to her, and she liked my youth, and she liked the coolness of my cousin. She said, “Cold like cold.” He said, “So I married her,” and it was. The time limit between me and her is ten. He said, “I stayed there that night, then I went to the mosque in the morning, and I saw the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace.” And he made a peace between the door and the stone, addressing the people, saying, “O people, I have given you permission to have fun with these women. Indeed, God is blessed.” And God Almighty has forbidden that until the Day of Resurrection. So whoever has any of them, let him leave their way, and do not take anything of what you have given them.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ وَحَجَّاجٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ قَتَادَةَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ قَالَ حَجَّاجٌ فِي حَدِيثِهِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَىعَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُوتِرُ بِسَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى

Muhammad ibn Jaafar narrated to us, Shu’bah and Hajjaj narrated to us, he said: Shu’bah narrated to me, he said: I heard Qatada speaking on the authority of Zurara. Hajjaj said in his hadith: He said: I heard Zurara on the authority of Abd al-Rahman ibn Abza, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, that he used to pray Witr to glorify the name of your Most High Lord.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ وَزُبَيْدٍ الْإِيَامِيِّ عَنْ ذَرٍّ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَى عَنْ أَبِيهِعَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الْوِتْرِ بِسَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى وَقُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ وَقُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ فَإِذَا سَلَّمَ قَالَ سُبْحَانَ الْمَلِكِ الْقُدُّوسِ سُبْحَانَ الْمَلِكِ الْقُدُّوسِ سُبْحَانَ الْمَلِكِ الْقُدُّوسِ وَرَفَعَ بِهَا صَوْتَهُ

Muhammad ibn Ja`far narrated to us, Shu`bah narrated to us, on the authority of Salamah ibn Kuhail and Zubaid al-Iyami, on the authority of Dhar, on the authority of Ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Abza, on the authority of Is it narrated on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, that he used to recite in the Witr prayer “Glorify the name of your Lord Most High” and say, “O you disbelievers,” and say, “He is” God is One, so when he greets him, he says, Glory be to the Holy King, Glory be to the Holy King, Glory be to the Holy King, and he raises his voice with it.

حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ أَخْبَرَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ عَزْرَةَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَى عَنْ أَبِيهِعَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الْوِتْرِ بِسَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى وَقُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ وَقُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ وَكَانَ إِذَا سَلَّمَ قَالَ سُبْحَانَ الْمَلِكِ الْقُدُّوسِ يُطَوِّلُهَا ثَلَاثًا

Bahz told us, Hammam told us, Qatadah told us, on the authority of Ezra, on the authority of Sa’id bin Abdul Rahman bin Abza, on the authority of Abiha, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. He, peace and blessings of God be upon him, used to recite in the Witr prayer “Glorify the name of your Lord Most High” and “Say, ‘O disbelievers,’ and say, ‘He is God, the One.’” And when he greeted, he said Glory be to the Holy King. He lengthened it three times.

حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ زُبَيْدٌ وَسَلَمَةُ أَخْبَرَانِي أَنَّهُمَا سَمِعَا ذَرًّا عَنِ ابْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَى عَنْ أَبِيهِعَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُوتِرُ بِسَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى وَقُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ وَقُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ وَكَانَ إِذَا سَلَّمَ يَقُولُ سُبْحَانَ الْمَلِكِ الْقُدُّوسِ ثَلَاثًا يَرْفَعُ صَوْتَهُ بِالْآخِرَةِ

Affan told us, Shu`bah told us, Zubaid and Salamah told me that they heard a narration on the authority of Ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Abza, on the authority of his father, on the authority of The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, used to recite the verse “Glorify the name of your Lord Most High” and say, “O disbelievers,” and say, “He is God, the One.” And when he greeted, he used to say Glory be to the Holy King, raising his voice three times in the Hereafter.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ عَزْرَةَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَى عَنْ أَبِيهِأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُوتِرُ بِسَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى وَقُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ وَقُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ وَيَقُولُ إِذَا سَلَّمَ سُبْحَانَ الْمَلِكِ الْقُدُّوسِ ثَلَاثَ مِرَارٍ

Muhammad ibn Ja`far narrated to us, Shu`bah narrated to us, on the authority of Qatada, on the authority of Ezra, on the authority of Sa`id ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Abza, on the authority of his father, that the Messenger God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, used to recite the verse “Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High,” and say, “O disbelievers,” and say, “He is God, the One.” And he would say when he greeted, “Glory be to Him.” The Holy King three times

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ زُبَيْدٍ عَنْ ذَرِّ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْمُرْهِبِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَى عَنْ أَبِيهِقَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُوتِرُ بِسَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى وَقُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ وَقُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ وَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنْصَرِفَ مِنْ الْوِتْرِ قَالَ سُبْحَانَ الْمَلِكِ الْقُدُّوسِ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ ثُمَّ يَرْفَعُ صَوْتَهُ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ

Abdul Razzaq told us, Sufyan told us, on the authority of Zubaid, on the authority of Dharr bin Abdullah Al-Murahibi, on the authority of Saeed bin Abdul Rahman bin Abza. On the authority of Abih, he said: The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, used to recite the Witr prayer, “Glorify the name of your Lord Most High” and say, “O you disbelievers,” and say, “He is God, the One.” And lo! He wanted to finish the Witr prayer and said, Glory be to the King, the Holy, three times, then he raised his voice the third time.

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ زُبَيْدٍ عَنْ ذَرٍّ الْهَمْدَانِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَى الْخُزَاعِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُوتِرُ بِسَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى وَقُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ وَقُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ وَيَقُولُ إِذَا جَلَسَ فِي آخِرِ صَلَاتِهِ سُبْحَانَ الْمَلِكِ الْقُدُّوسِ ثَلَاثًا يَمُدُّ بِالْآخِرَةِ صَوْتَهُ

Waki` narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, on the authority of Zubaid, on the authority of Dhar al-Hamdani, on the authority of Sa`id bin Abd al-Rahman bin Abza al-Khuza`i, on the authority of Abihan: The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, used to recite the verse “Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High,” and say, “O disbelievers,” and say, “He is God, the One.” And he would say when he sat in another place. His prayer: Glory be to the Holy King, three times, extending his voice to the Hereafter.
