Hadith 16,109Musnad Ahmad

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي مَعْدِيُّ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ أَتَيْتُ مُطَيْرًا لِأَسْأَلَهُ عَنْ حَدِيثِ ذِي الْيَدَيْنِ فَأَتَيْتُهُ فَسَأَلْتُهُ فَإِذَا هُوَ شَيْخٌ كَبِيرٌ لَا يُنْفِذُ الْحَدِيثَ مِنْ الْكِبَرِ فَقَالَ ابْنُهُ شُعَيْثٌ بَلَى يَا أَبَتِحَدَّثَتْنِي أَنَّ ذَا الْيَدَيْنِ لَقِيَكَ بِذِي خَشَبٍ فَحَدَّثَكَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّى بِهِمْ إِحْدَى صَلَاتَيْ الْعَشِيِّ وَهِيَ الْعَصْرُ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ فَخَرَجَ سَرَعَانُ النَّاسِ فَقَالَ أَقَصُرَتْ الصَّلَاةُ وَفِي الْقَوْمِ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ فَقَالَ ذُو الْيَدَيْنِ أَقَصُرَتْ الصَّلَاةُ أَمْ نَسِيتَ قَالَ مَا قَصُرَتْ الصَّلَاةُ وَلَا نَسِيتُ ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ عَلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا فَقَالَ مَا يَقُولُ ذُو الْيَدَيْنِ فَقَالَا صَدَقَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَرَجَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَثَابَ النَّاسُ وَصَلَّى بِهِمْ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ ثُمَّ سَجَدَ بِهِمْ سَجْدَتَيْ السَّهْوِ

Abdullah told us, Nasr bin Ali told me, he said, Maadi bin Sulaiman told me, he said, I came flying to ask him about the hadith of Dhul-Yadin, so I came to him. So I asked him, and behold, he is an old man who does not recite a hadith due to his old age, and his son Shu’aith said, “Yes, oh, did you tell me that the one with the two hands met you?” In Dhu Khashab, he told you that the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, led with them one of the evening prayers, which is the afternoon prayer, two rak’ahs, then he greeted them, and he quickly left. The people, so he said: Was the prayer shortened, or did you forget? Among the people were Abu Bakr and Omar. Dhul-Yadayn said: Was the prayer shortened, or did you forget? He said: The prayer was not shortened, nor did you forget. Then He went to Abu Bakr and Omar, may God be pleased with them, and said what Dhul-Yadin said. They said, “It is true, O Messenger of God.” Then the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, returned. He greeted the people and led them in prayer with two rak'ahs, then he saluted, then prostrated with them the two prostrations of forgetfulness.

Hadith 16,110Musnad Ahmad

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ قَالَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى عَلِيِّ بْنِ حُسَيْنٍ فَقَالَ مَا كَانَ مَنْزِلَةُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ مِنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ مَنْزِلَتُهُمَا السَّاعَةَ

Abdullah told us, Abu Muammar told me, on the authority of Ibn Abi Hazim, who said: A man came to Ali bin Hussein and said: What was the status of Abu Bakr? Omar was told by the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and he said, “Their position at that time.”

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْقَوَارِيرِيُّ وَخَلَفُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا عَامِرُ بْنُ أَبِي عَامِرٍ الْخَزَّازُ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ مُوسَى عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا نَحَلَ وَالِدٌ وَلَدَهُ نُحْلًا أَفْضَلَ مِنْ أَدَبٍ حَسَنٍ

Abdullah narrated to us, saying: Ubayd Allah bin Omar Al-Qawariri and Khalaf bin Hisham narrated to us, saying: Amer bin Abi Amir Al-Khazzaz narrated to us, on the authority of Ayyub Bin Musa, on the authority of his father, on the authority of his grandfather, the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: No father has given his child a better manner than good manners.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الدَّرَاوَرْدِيُّ قَالَ عَمْرُو بْنُ يَحْيَى حَدَّثَنِي عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ عُمَارَةَ عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَبِي حَسَنٍ قَالَدَخَلْتُ الْأَسْوَاقَ وَقَالَ فَأَثَرْتُ وَقَالَ الْقَوَارِيرِيُّ مَرَّةً فَأَخَذْتُ دُبْسَتَيْنِ قَالَ وَأُمُّهُمَا تُرَشْرِشُ عَلَيْهِمَا وَأَنَا أُرِيدُ أَنْ آخُذَهُمَا قَالَ فَدَخَلَ عَلَيَّ أَبُو حَسَنٍ فَنَزَعَ مِتِّيخَةً قَالَ فَضَرَبَنِي بِهَا فَقَالَتْ لِي امْرَأَةٌ مِنَّا يُقَالُ لَهَا مَرْيَمُ لَقَدْ تَعِسْتَ مِنْ عَضُدِهِ وَمِنْ تَكْسِيرِ الْمِتِّيخَةِ فَقَالَ لِي أَلَمْ تَعْلَمْ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَرَّمَ مَا بَيْنَ لَابَتَيْ الْمَدِينَةِ

Abdullah told us, he said, Ubayd Allah bin Omar told us, he said, Abdul Aziz bin Muhammad al-Darawardi told us, Amr bin Yahya told me, he said, Yahya bin Amara, on the authority of his grandfather, Abu Hassan, said: “I entered the markets,” he said, “and I became excited.” Al-Qawariri said, “One time, so I took two molasses,” he said, “and their mother.” They were sprayed on them, and I wanted to take them. حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْفَضْلِ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ أَبِي أُوَيْسٍ قَالَ وَحَدَّثَنِي حُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ابْنِ ضُمَيْرَةَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ يَحْيَى الْمَازِنِيِّ عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَبِي حَسَنٍأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَكْرَهُ نِكَاحَ السِّرِّ حَتَّى يُضْرَبَ بِدُفٍّ وَيُقَالَ أَتَيْنَاكُمْ أَتَيْنَاكُمْفَحَيُّونَا نُحَيِّيكُمْ

Abdullah told us, Abu Al-Fadl Al-Maruzi told us, he said, Ibn Abi Uwais told me, he said, Husayn bin Abdullah Ibn Dumaira told me, On the authority of Amr bin Yahya Al-Mazini, on the authority of his grandfather, Abu Hassan, that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, hated secret marriage, to the point that he would be beaten with a tambourine and it would be said We came to you, we came to you, we salute you, we salute you.

Hadith 16,114Musnad Ahmad

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ الطَّوِيلُ وَكَانَ ثِقَةً رَجُلًا صَالِحًا قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ يَعْنِي الدَّرَاوَرْدِيَّ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَوْ عَمِّهِ قَالَكَانَتْ لِي جُمَّةٌ كُنْتُ إِذَا سَجَدْتُ رَفَعْتُهَا فَرَآنِي أَبُو حَسَنٍ الْمَازِنِيُّ فَقَالَ تَرْفَعُهَا لَا يُصِيبُهَا التُّرَابُ وَاللَّهِ لَأَحْلِقَنَّهَا فَحَلَقَهَا

Abdullah narrated to us, saying: Ahmad bin Hatim al-Taweel narrated to us, and he was a trustworthy, upright man. He said: Abdul Aziz bin Muhammad narrated to us, meaning Al-Darawardi. On the authority of Amr ibn Yahya, on the authority of his father or uncle, who said: I had a pile that I used to raise when I prostrated, and Abu Hassan al-Mazni saw me and said, “You should raise it.” It will not get dust, by God, I will shave it. So he shaved it.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو مَالِكٍ الْحَنَفِيُّ كَثِيرُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ كَثِيرٍ الْبَصْرِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ أَبُو زَيْدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هِلَالُ بْنُ خَبَّابٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْمَخْزُومِيِّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَرِيفٌ مِنْ عُرَفَاءِ قُرَيْشٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِسَمِعَهُ مِنْ فَلْقِ فِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ صَامَ رَمَضَانَ وَشَوَّالَ وَالْأَرْبِعَاءَ وَالْخَمِيسَ دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ

Abdullah narrated to us, saying: Abu Malik Al-Hanafi narrated to me, Kathir bin Yahya bin Kathir Al-Basri narrated to me, saying: Thabit Abu Zayd narrated to us, saying: narrated to us Hilal bin Khabab, on the authority of Ikrimah bin Khalid Al-Makhzoumi, said: A Quraysh sermon narrated to me on the authority of his father. حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي سُرَيْجُ بْنُ يُونُسَ مِنْ كِتَابِهِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْمُؤَدِّبُ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ عَائِذٍ قَالَرَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُبُ عَلَى نَاقَةٍ خَرْمَاءَ وَعَبْدٌ حَبَشِيٌّ مُمْسِكٌ بِخِطَامِهَاوَهَلَكَ قَيْسٌ أَيَّامَ الْمُخْتَارِ

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَعْشَرٍ الْبَرَاءُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ حَرْمَلَةَ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ هِنْدِ بْنِ حَارِثَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَكَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ وَأَخُوهُ الَّذِي بَعَثَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَأْمُرُ قَوْمَهُ بِصِيَامِ يَوْمِ عَاشُورَاءَ وَهُوَ أَسْمَاءُ بْنُ حَارِثَةَأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعَثَهُ فَقَالَ مُرْ قَوْمَكَ فَلْيَصُومُوا هَذَا الْيَوْمَ قَالَ أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ وَجَدْتُهُمْ قَدْ طَعِمُوا قَالَ فَلْيُتِمُّوا بَقِيَّةَ يَوْمِهِمْ

Abdullah narrated to us, saying: Muhammad bin Abi Bakr Al-Muqaddami narrated to me, saying: Abu Ma’shar Al-Baraa narrated to us, saying: Ibn Harmala narrated to us, on the authority of Yahya Bin Hind bin Haritha, on the authority of his father. He was one of the people of Hudaybiyyah, and his brother was sent by the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, to command his people. By fasting on the day of Ashura, which is Asma bin Haritha, that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, sent him and said, “Order your people to fast this day.” Today, he said, “What do you think? Abdullah narrated to us, Muhammad bin Tha’labah bin Sawa narrated to us, he said, Muhammad bin Sawa narrated to us, he said, Hamran bin Yazid, the blind man, narrated to us. حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ الْخَطْمِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ الْفَاكِهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ الْفَاكِهِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ وَكَانَتْ لَهُ صُحْبَةٌأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَغْتَسِلُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَيَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ وَيَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ وَيَوْمَ النَّحْرِقَالَ وَكَانَ الْفَاكِهُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ يَأْمُرُ أَهْلَهُ بِالْغُسْلِ فِي هَذِهِ الْأَيَّامِ

Abdullah narrated to us, saying: Nasr bin Ali narrated to us, saying: Yusuf bin Khalid narrated to us, saying: Abu Ja`far Al-Khutimi narrated to us, on the authority of Abd al-Rahman bin Uqba bin Al-Fakih, on the authority of his grandfather Al-Fakih bin Saad, who had companions, said that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, used to wash himself on the day of Friday, the Day of Arafah, the Day of Fitr, and the Day of Sacrifice. Al-Fakih bin Sa’d used to order his family to wash on these days.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ الْهُذَلِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ خُثَيْمٍ الْهِلَالِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَتْنِي جَدَّتِي أُمُّ أَبِي رَبِيعَةُ بِنْتُ عِيَاضٍ الْكِلَابِيَّةُ عَنْ جَدِّهَا عَبِيدَةَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو الْكِلَابِيِّ قَالَرَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يَتَوَضَّأُ فَأَسْبَغَ الطُّهُورَوَكَانَتْ هِيَ إِذَا تَوَضَّأَتْ أَسْبَغَتْ الطُّهُورَ حَتَّى تَرْفَعَ الْخِمَارَ فَتَمْسَحَ رَأْسَهَا

Abdullah narrated to us, saying: Ismail bin Ibrahim Abu Muammar Al-Hudhali narrated to us: Saeed bin Khathim Al-Hilali narrated to us, saying: My grandmother’s mother narrated to me: Abi Rabi’ah bint Iyad Al-Kalabi, on the authority of her grandfather Ubaidah bin Amr Al-Kalabi, who said: I saw the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, while he was performing ablution So she purified herself completely, and whenever she performed ablution, she completely purified herself until she removed her veil and wiped her head.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عُثْمَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ خُثَيْمٍ الْهِلَالِيُّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ جَدَّتِي رَبِيعَةَ ابْنَةَ عِيَاضٍ عَنْ جَدِّهَا عَبِيدَةَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو الْكِلَابِيِّ قَالَرَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَوَضَّأَ فَأَسْبَغَ الْوُضُوءَقَالَ وَكَانَتْ رَبِيعَةُ إِذَا تَوَضَّأَتْ أَسْبَغَتْ الْوُضُوءَ

Abdullah narrated to us, saying: Othman bin Muhammad bin Abi Shaybah narrated to me, saying: Saeed bin Khathim Al-Hilali narrated to us, saying: I heard my grandmother Rabi’ah, daughter of Iyad, on the authority of her grandfather, Ubaida bin Amr Al-Kallabi, said: I saw the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, performing ablution and performing it well. He said, and she was Rabia, if she performs ablution, she performs the ablution perfectly.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ النَّاقِدُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ خُثَيْمٍ الْهِلَالِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَتْنِي جَدَّتِي رَبِيعَةُ ابْنَةُ عِيَاضٍ الْكِلَابِيَّةُ عَنْ جَدِّهَا عَبِيدَةَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو الْكِلَابِيِّ قَالَرَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَوَضَّأُ فَأَسْبَغَ الطُّهُورَقَالَ وَكَانَتْ هِيَ يَعْنِي جَدَّتَهُ إِذَا أَخَذَتْ الطَّهُورَ أَسْبَغَتْ

Abdullah told us, Amr bin Muhammad al-Naqid told us, he said, Sa`id bin Khathim al-Hilali told us, he said, my grandmother Rabi’a bin Iyad told me. Al-Kalabiyyah, on the authority of her grandfather Ubaidah bin Amr Al-Kallabi, who said: I saw the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, performing ablution and being completely pure. Hadith 16,125Musnad Ahmad

قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ مَرْثَدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْيَزَنِيِّ عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ هُبَيْرَةَ قَالَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا مِنْ مُؤْمِنٍ يَمُوتُ فَيُصَلِّي عَلَيْهِ أُمَّةٌ مِنْ الْمُسْلِمِينَ بَلَغُوا أَنْ يَكُونُوا ثَلَاثَةَ صُفُوفٍ إِلَّا غُفِرَ لَهُقَالَ فَكَانَ مَالِكُ بْنُ هُبَيْرَةَ يَتَحَرَّى إِذَا قَلَّ أَهْلُ جَنَازَةٍ أَنْ يَجْعَلَهُمْ ثَلَاثَةَ صُفُوفٍ

He said, Yazid bin Harun told us, he said, Hammad bin Zaid told us, on the authority of Muhammad bin Ishaq, on the authority of Yazid bin Abi Habib, on the authority of Marthad bin Abd. God Almighty, on the authority of Malik bin Hubayra, who said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: There is no believer who dies and a group of Muslims pray over him. They reached the point of being in three rows, except that he was forgiven. Malik bin Hubayra used to make sure that if there were few people at a funeral, he would make them three rows.

Hadith 16,126Musnad Ahmad

قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ الْمِقْدَادِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ قَالَقَالَ لِي عَلِيٌّ سَلْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الرَّجُلِ يُلَاعِبُ امْرَأَتَهُ فَيَخْرُجُ مِنْهُ الْمَذْيُ مِنْ غَيْرِ مَاءِ الْحَيَاةِ قَالَ يَغْسِلُ فَرْجَهُ وَيَتَوَضَّأُ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ

He said, Yazid told us, he said, Muhammad bin Ishaq told us, on the authority of Hisham bin Urwa, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Al-Miqdad bin Al-Aswad, he said to me Ali asked the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, about a man who plays with his wife and precum comes out of him other than the water of life. He said, “He washes his private parts.” He performs his ablution for prayer

Hadith 16,127Musnad Ahmad

حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ بْنُ يُونُسَ بْنِ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى عَنْ جَدَّتِهِ عَنْ أَبِيهَا سُوَيْدِ بْنِ حَنْظَلَةَ قَالَخَرَجْنَا نُرِيدُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَمَعَنَا وَائِلُ بْنُ حُجْرٍ فَأَخَذَهُ عَدُوٌّ لَهُ فَتَحَرَّجَ النَّاسُ أَنْ يَحْلِفُوا وَحَلَفْتُ أَنَّهُ أَخِي فَخَلَّى عَنْهُ فَأَتَيْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لَهُ فَقَالَ أَنْتَ كُنْتَ أَبَرَّهُمْ وَأَصْدَقَهُمْ صَدَقْتَ الْمُسْلِمُ أَخُو الْمُسْلِمِحَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ وأَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى عَنْ جَدَّتِهِ عَنْ أَبِيهَا سُوَيْدِ بْنِ حَنْظَلَةَ قَالَ خَرَجْنَا نُرِيدُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذَكَرَهُ

Yazid bin Harun told us, he said, Israel bin Yunus bin Abi Ishaq told us, he said, Ibrahim bin Abdul-Ala told us about his grandmother. On the authority of her father, Suwayd bin Hanzalah, who said: We left, seeking the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and with us was Wael bin Hajr, but an enemy of his captured him. So the people were embarrassed to swear, and I swore that he was my brother, so he abandoned him, so we came to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and I mentioned that to him, and he said: You You were the most righteous of them and the most truthful of them. You believed Al-Muslim, the brother of the Muslim, and our narrators Al-Walid bin Al-Qasim and Aswad bin Amir said, “Israel told us about Ibrahim bin Abdul-Ala, on the authority of his grandmother, on the authority of her father, Suwayd bin Hanzala, said: We went out, seeking the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and he mentioned him.

Hadith 16,128Musnad Ahmad

حَدَّثَنَا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ عِيسَى قَالَ أَنَا الْحَارِثُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ مُنِيرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي ذُبَابٍ قَالَقَدِمْتُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَسْلَمْتُ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ اجْعَلْ لِقَوْمِي مَا أَسْلَمُوا عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَمْوَالِهِمْ فَفَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَاسْتَعْمَلَنِي عَلَيْهِمْ ثُمَّ اسْتَعْمَلَنِي أَبُو بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ ثُمَّ اسْتَعْمَلَنِي عُمَرُ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ

Safwan bin Issa told us, he said: I am Al-Harith bin Abdul Rahman, on the authority of Munir bin Abdullah, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Saad bin Abi Dhubab I came to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and I converted to Islam. I said, O Messenger of God, give to my people what they had surrendered to from their wealth, so he did. The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, appointed me over them, then Abu Bakr appointed me, may God Almighty be pleased with him, then Omar appointed me after him.
