Welcome to the study of authentic hadith selected by ULYAH. Let's look at some of the following sayings of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam, one by one, with an open heart to put them into practice. 1st Hadith. God willing God willing, God willing, God willing God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings أَنْ أُثَوِّبَ فِي الْعِشَاءِ .. Has told us [Abu Bakr bin Abu Syaibah] said, has told us [Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Al Asad] from [Abu Isra`il] from [Al Hakam] from [Abdurrahman bin Abu Laila] from [Bilal] he said; "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam ordered me to say tatswib in the morning prayer and forbade me to say it in the evening prayer (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 715.) 2nd hadith. God bless you God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing الْفَجْرْ مِنَ النَّوْمِ الصَّلاَةُ خَيْرٌ مِنَ النَّوْمَ فِي تَأْذِينِ الْفَجْرِ فَثَبَتَ الأَمْرُ عَلَى ذَلِكَ .. Has told us ['Amru bin Rafi'] said, has told us [Abdullah bin Al Mubarak] from [Ma'mar] from [Az Zuhri] from [Sa'id bin Al Musayyab] from [Bilal] that he came to the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam for the call to prayer for the morning prayer, then it was said to him: "He is sleeping." So Bilal said; "ASH SHALAATU KHAIRUN MINAN NAUM. ASH SHALAATU KHAIRUN MINAN NAUM (Prayer is better than sleep. Prayer is better than sleep)." Until the lafadz is determined to be recited at the morning call to prayer and the matter remains like that (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 716.) 3rd Hadith. God willing يَعْلَى بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الإِفْرِيقِيُّ، عَنْ God willing God bless you God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing وسلم ـ " إِنَّ أَخَا صُدَاءٍ قَدْ أَذَّنَ وَمَنْ أَذَّنَ فَهُوَ يُقِيمُ " .. Has told us [Abu Bakr bin Abu Syaibah] said, has told us [Ya'la bin Ubaid] said, has told us [Al Ifriqi] from [Ziyad bin Nu'aim] from [Ziyad Ibnul Harith Ash Shuda`i] he said; "I was with Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam on a journey, then he ordered me to make the call to prayer, so I did the call to prayer. Then Bilal intended to do iqamah, but Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Brother Shuda` has given the call to prayer, so whoever calls to prayer has the right to iqamah (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 717.) 4th Hadith. God willing مُحَمَّدِ بْنْ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ "" .. Has told us [Abu Ishaq As Syafi'i Ibrahim bin Muhammad bin Al 'Abbas] said, has told us [Abdullah bin Raja` Al Makki] from ['Abbad bin Ishaq] from [Ibn Syihab] from [Sa'id bin Al Musayyab] from [Abu Hurairah] he said; Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "When a muezzin pronounces the call to prayer, then say it as he says (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 718.) 5th Hadith. may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind Allah's blessings God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing يَقُولُ إِذَا كَانَ عِنْدَهَا فِي يَوْمِهَا وَلَيْلَتِهَا فَسَمِعَ الْمُؤَذِّنَ يُؤَذِّنُ قَالَ كَمَا يَقُولُ الْمُؤَذِّنُ .. Has told us [Syuja' bin Makhlad Abul Fadhl] said; has told us [Husyaim] said, has told us [Abu Bisyr] from [Abul Malih bin Usamah] from [Abdullah bin 'Utbah bin Abu Sufyan] said, has told me my aunt [Ummu Habibah], that when Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam was with her on the day of her turn, she heard Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam say what the mu`adzin said when he heard a voice. adhan (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 719.) 6th Hadith. God willing قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ, عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind النِّدَاءَ فَقُولُوا كَمَا يَقُولُ الْمُؤَذِّنُ " .. It has been told to us that [Abu Bakr bin Abu Syaibah] and [Abu Kuraib] both said; has told us [Zaid Ibnul Hubab] from [Malik bin Anas] from [Az Zuhri] from ['Atho` bin Zaid Al Laits] from [Sa'id Ibnul Musayyab] he said; Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "If you hear the call to prayer then say it as the mu`adzin said (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 720.) 7th Hadith. God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings God bless you God willing love رَضِيتُ بِاللَّهِ رَبًّا وَبِالإِسْلاَمِ دِينًا وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ نَبِيًّا غُفِرَ لَهُ ذَنْبُهُ " .. It has been reported to us [Muhammad bin Rumh Al Mishri] said, it has been reported to us [Al Laits bin Sa'd] from [Al Hukaim bin Abdullah bin Qais] from [Amir bin Sa'd bin Abu Waqash] from [Sa'd bin Abu Waqash] from Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, that he said: "Whoever hears the call to prayer then says; 'I also testify that there is no God worthy of worship. apart from Allah alone, there is no partner for Him. And I also testify that Muhammad is His servant and messenger. I am pleased with Allah as Rabb, Islam as a religion and Muhammad as a Prophet, ' then his sins will be forgiven. 8th Hadith. حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدَ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing God willing مُحَمَّدَ God willing مَنْ قَالَ حِينَ يَسْمَعُ النِّدَاءَ اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ هَذِهِ الدَّعْوَةِ التَِ مُحَمَّدًا الْوَسِيلَةَ وَالْفَضِيلَةَ وَابْعَثْهُ مَقَامًا مَحْمُودًا الَّذِي وَعَدْتَهُ - إِلاَّ حَلَّتْ لَهُ الشَّفَاعَةُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " .. It has been told to us [Muhammad bin Yahya] and [Al 'Abbas Ibnul Walid Ad Dimasyqi] and [Muhammad bin Abu Al Husain] they said; has told us [Ali bin 'Ayyasy Al Alhani] said, has told us [Syu'aib bin Abu Hamzah] from [Muhammad Ibnul Munkadir] from [Jabir bin Abdullah] he said; Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Whoever hears the call to prayer then says: ALLAHUMMA RABBA HADZIHID DA'WATIT TAAMMATI WASH SHALATIL QAA'IMAHI AATI MUHAMMADANIL WASIILATA WAL FADLIILAH WAB'ATSHU MAQAAMAN MAHMUUDAN ALLADZII WA 'ADTAHU (O Allah, the Lord of the perfect calling (call to prayer) and the (obligatory) prayer to be established. Give Al Wasilah and Fadlilah to Muhammad. And raise him up to occupy the praiseworthy station that You have promised), ' unless he will obtain intercession on the Day of Judgment (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 722.) 9th Hadith. God bless you God bless you God willing حِجْرَ كُنْتَ فِي الْبَوَادِي فَارْفَعْ صَوْتَكَ بِالأَذَانِ فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ يَقُولُ " لاَ يَسْمَعُهُ جِنٌّ وَلاَ إِنْسٌ وَلاَ شَجَرٌ وَلاَ حَجَرٌ إِلاَّ شَهِدَ لَهُ " .. Has told us [Muhammad bin Ash Shabbah] said, has told us [Sufyan bin 'Uyainah] from [Abdullah bin Abdurrahman bin Abu Sha'sha'ah] from [his father] - his father was in the care of Abu Sa'id - he said; [Abu Sa'id] said to me; If you are in the desert then make your call to prayer louder, because I heard the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam say: "It is not possible for jinn, humans, trees and stones to hear the sound of the call to prayer unless they become witnesses to it (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 723.) 10th Hadith. God willing God willing God willing God willing يَقُولُ " الْمُؤَذِّنُ يُغْفَرُ لَهُ مَدَّ صَوْتِهِ وَيَسْتَغْفِرُ لَهُ كُلُِ God bless you وَيُكَفَّرُ عَنْهُ مَا بَيْنَهُمَا " .. Has told us [Abu Bakr bin Abu Syaibah] said, has told us [Syababah] said, has told us [Syu'bah] from [Musa bin Abu Uthman] from [Abu Yahya] from [Abu Hurairah] he said; Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "A mu`adzin will be forgiven as far as the sound of the call to prayer that he makes, and every wet and dry will ask for forgiveness for him. Meanwhile, the person who attends the congregational prayer will have twenty-five good deeds written down for him and sins between two prayers will be forgiven with him (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 724.) 11th Hadith. حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدَ مَنْصُورٍ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا God willing God bless you قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " God willing الْقِيَامَةِ " .. It has been told to us that [Muhammad bin Bashyar] and [Ishaq bin Mansur] both said; has told us [Abu Amir] said, has told us [Sufyan] from [Thalhah bin Yahya] from [Isa bin Talhah] he said; I heard [Mu'awiyah bin Abu Sufyan] say; Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "The people with the longest necks on the Day of Judgment will be the mu`adzin (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 725.) 12th Hadith. God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing God willing خِيَارُكُمْ وَلْيَؤُمَّكُمْ قُرَّاؤُكُمْ " .. Has told us [Uthman bin Abu Syaibah] said, has told us [Husain bin Isa] -brother of Sulaim Al Qari`- from [Al Hakam bin Aban] from [Ikrimah] from [Ibn 'Abbas] he said; Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Let the one who recites the call to prayer be the best among you, and the one who becomes an imam should be the best reciter among you (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 726.) 13th Hadith. God willing God willing God willing Allah's blessings may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings God willing, God willing, God willing قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " مَنْ Allah's blessings بَرَاءَةً مِنَ النَّارِ " .. Has told us [Abu Kuraib] said, has told us [Mukhtar bin Ghassan] said, has told us [Hafsh bin Umar Al Azraq Al Burjumi] from [Jabir] from [Ikrimah] from [Ibn 'Abbas]. And according to another line; Has told us [Rauh bin Al Furaj] said, has told us [Ali bin Al Hasan bin Shaqiq] said, has told us [Abu Hamzah] from [Jabir] from [Ikrimah] from [Ibn 'Abbas] he said; Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Whoever recites the call to prayer out of sincerity for seven years, then Allah will free him from hell (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 727.) 14th Hadith. حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدَ God willing God bless you may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind God bless you وَجَبَتْ لَهُ الْجَنَّةُ وَكُتِبَ لَهُ بِتَأْذِينِهِ فِي كُلِّ يَوْمٍ سِتُّونَ حَسَنَةً وَلِكُلِّ إِقَامَةٍ ثَلاَثُونَ حَسَنَةً " .. It has been told to us that [Muhamad bin Yahya] and [Al Hasan bin Ali Al Khallal] both said; has told us [Abdullah bin Salih] said, has told us [Yahya bin Ayyub] from [Ibn Juraij] from [Nafi'] from [Ibn Umar], that the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Whoever recites the call to prayer for twelve years, then heaven is obligatory for him, And with his call to prayer, in each day sixty good deeds will be written, and thirty good deeds for every iqamah that he do (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 728.) 15th Hadith. God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings God willing God willing فَأُمِرَ بِلاَلٌ أَنْ يَشْفَعَ الأَذَانَ وَيُوتِرَ الإِقَامَةَ .. Has told us [Abdullah Ibnul Jarrah] said, has told us [Al Mu'tamir bin Sulaiman] from [Khalid Al Hadzdza`] from [Abu Qilabah] from [Anas bin Malik] he said; "Look for something that you can use to remind people to pray. Then Bilal was ordered to complete the number of calls to prayer and odd number of iqamah (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 729.) 16th Hadith. حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَم God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing قِلاَبَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ أُمِرَ بِلاَلٌ أَنْ يَشْفَعَ، الأَذَانَ وَيُوتِرَ الإِقَامَةَ .. Has told us [Nashr bin Ali Al Jahdlami] said, has told us [Umar bin Ali] from [Khalid Al Hadzdza`] from [Abu Qilabah] from [Anas] he said; "Bilal was ordered to fulfill the number of adzans and odd number of iqamah (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 730.) 17th Hadith. God bless you الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ سَعْدِ بْنّ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing مَثْنَى وَإِقَامَتُهُ مُفْرَدَةً .. Has told us [Hisyam bin 'Ammar] said, has told us [Abdurrahman bin Sa'd bin 'Ammar bin Sa'd] -mu`adzin Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam- said, has told me [my father] from [his father] from [his grandfather] said; "Bilal's adhan is two in two, while the iqamah is one in one (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 731.) 18th Hadith. God willing مَعْمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدْ God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. بَيْنَ يَدَىْ رَسُولَ مَثْنَى وَيُقِيمُ وَاحِدَةً .. Has told us [Abu Badr 'Abbad bin Al Walid] said, has told me [Mu'ammar bin Muhammad bin Ubaidullah bin Abu Rafi'] - a former slave of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam- said, has told me [Abu Muhammad bin Ubaidullah] from his father [Ubaidullah] from [Abu Rafi'], he said; "On the side of Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam I saw Bilal saying the call to prayer two by two, and the iqamah one by one (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 732.) 19th hadith. Allah's blessings God willing God bless you هُرَيْرَةَ فَأَذَّنَ الْمُؤَذِّنُ فَقَامَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ God willing حَتَّى خَرَجَ مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ فَقَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ أَمَّا هَذَا فَقَدْ عَصَى أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ .. Has told us [Abu Bakr bin Abu Syaibah] said, has told us [Abu Al Ahwash] from [Ibrahim bin Muhajir] from [Abu Asy Sya'tsa`] he said; We were sitting with [Abu Hurairah] in the mosque, then a mu`adzin gave the call to prayer, and at that time a man came out of the mosque, while Abu Hurairah followed him with his eyes. After that he said; "This person has disobeyed Abu Qasim shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 733.) 20th hadith. may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " مَنْ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. message مُنَافِقٌ " .. Has told us [Harmalah bin Yahya] said, has told us [Abdullah bin Wahb] said; has reported to us [Abdul Jabbar bin Umar] from [Ibnu Abu Farwah] from [Muhammad bin Yusuf] -Uthman bin Affan's former slave- from [his father] from [Uthman bin Affan] he said; Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Whoever encounters the call to prayer in the mosque and then goes out not for a reason, and he does not want to come back again, then he is a hypocrite (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 734.) 21st Hadith. God willing يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God bless you God willing God willing مَنْ مََسْجِدًا يُذْكَرُ فِيهِ اسْمُ اللَّهِ بَنَى اللَّهُ لَهُ بَيْتًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ " .. It has been told to us [Abu Bakr bin Abu Syaibah] said; has told us [Yunus bin Muhammad] said; has told us [Laits bin Sa'd]. And according to another line; It has been told to us [Abu Bakr bin Abu Syaibah] said; has told us [Dawud bin Abdullah Al Ja'fari] from [Abdul Aziz bin Muhammad], everything from [Yazid bin Abdullah bin Usamah bin Al Had] from [Al Walid bin Abu Al Walid] from [Uthman bin Abdullah bin Suraqah Al 'Adawi] from [Umar Ibnul Khaththab] he said; I heard Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam say: "Whoever builds a mosque of Allah in which it is used for remembrance of Allah, Allah will build for him a house in heaven (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 735.) 22nd Hadith. God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing يَقُولُ " مَنْ بَنَى لِلَّهِ مَسْجِدًا بَنَى اللَّهُ لَهُ مِثْلَهُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ " .. Has told us [Muhammad bin Basysyar] said, has told us [Abu Bakr Al Hanafi] said, has told us [Abdul Hamid bin Ja'far] from [his father] from [Mahmud bin Labid] from [Uthman bin Affan] he said; I heard Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam say: "Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him a mosque in heaven (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 736.) 23rd Hadith. may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind God bless you God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing ـ " مَنْ بَنَى لِلَّهِ مَسْجِدًا مِنْ مَالِهِ بَنَى اللَّهُ لَهُ بَيْتًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ " .. Has told us [Al 'Abbas bin Uthman Ad Dimasyqi] said, has told us [Al Walid bin Muslim] from [Ibn Lahi'ah] said; has told me [Abul Aswad] from ['Urwah] from [Ali bin Abu Talib] he said; Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Whoever builds a mosque from his wealth, Allah will build for him a palace in heaven (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 737.) 24th Hadith. God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنْ God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing ـ قَالَ " مَنْ بَنَى مَسْجِدًا لِلَّهِ كَمَفْحَصِ قَطَاةٍ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing .. It has been told to us [Yunus bin Abdul A'la] said, it has been told to us [Abdullah bin Wahb] from [Ibrahim bin Nasyith] from [Abdullah bin Abdurrahman bin Abu Husain An Naufali] from ['Atho` bin Abu Rabah] from [Jabir bin Abdullah] that the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Whoever builds a mosque for Allah even if it is as big as a bird cage, or even smaller than that, then Allah will build for him a palace in heaven (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 738.) 25th Hadith. may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind God willing قِلاَبَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings حَتَّى يَتَبَاهَى النَّاسُ فِي الْمَسَاجِدِ " .. Has told us [Abdullah bin Mu'awiyah Al Jumahi] said, has told us [Hammad bin Salamah] from [Ayyub] from [Abu Qilabah] from [Anas bin Malik] he said; Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "The end will not come until people are proud of the mosque (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 739.) 26th Hadith. God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنْ may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings love وَكَمَا شَرَّفَتِ النَّصَارَى بِيَعَهَا " .. Has told us [Jubarah bin Al Mughallis] said, has told us [Abdul Karim bin Abdurrahman Al Bajali] from [Laits] from [Ikrimah] from [Ibn 'Abbas] he said; Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "I see that you will boast of your mosques after my death, as the Jews boast of their synagogues, and as the Christians boast of their churches (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 740.) 27th Hadith. God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. God willing قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " مَا سَاءَ عَمَلُ قَوْمٍ قَطُّ إِلاَّ زَخْرَفُوا مَسَاجِدَهُمْ " .. Has told us [Jubarah bin Al Mughallis] said, has told us [Abdul Karim bin Abdurrahman] from [Abu Ishaq] from ['Amru bin Maimun] from [Umar bin Al Khatthab] he said; Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "There is no bad deed for a people except making wall decorations in their mosques (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 741.) 28th Hadith. Hadits ke-40. حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَرْوَانَ، مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ مَحْمُودِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ الأَنْصَارِيِّ، - وَكَانَ قَدْ عَقَلَ مَجَّةً مَجَّهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ مِنْ دَلْوٍ فِي بِئْرٍ لَهُمْ - عَنْ عِتْبَانَ بْنِ مَالِكٍ السَّالِمِيِّ - وَكَانَ إِمَامَ قَوْمِهِ بَنِي سَالِمٍ وَكَانَ شَهِدَ بَدْرًا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ - قَالَ جِئْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي قَدْ أَنْكَرْتُ مِنْ بَصَرِي وَإِنَّ السَّيْلَ يَأْتِينِي فَيَحُولُ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ مَسْجِدِ قَوْمِي وَيَشُقُّ عَلَىَّ اجْتِيَازُهُ فَإِنْ رَأَيْتَ أَنْ تَأْتِيَنِي فَتُصَلِّيَ فِي بَيْتِي مَكَانًا أَتَّخِذُهُ مُصَلًّى فَافْعَلْ . قَالَ " أَفْعَلُ " . فَغَدَا عَلَىَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ بَعْدَ مَا اشْتَدَّ النَّهَارُ وَاسْتَأْذَنَ فَأَذِنْتُ لَهُ وَلَمْ يَجْلِسْ حَتَّى قَالَ " أَيْنَ تُحِبُّ أَنْ أُصَلِّيَ لَكَ مِنْ بَيْتِكَ " . فَأَشَرْتُ لَهُ إِلَى الْمَكَانِ الَّذِي أُحِبُّ أَنْ أُصَلِّيَ فِيهِ فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ وَصَفَفْنَا خَلْفَهُ فَصَلَّى بِنَا رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ احْتَبَسْتُهُ عَلَى خَزِيرَةٍ تُصْنَعُ لَهُمْ .. Beliau bersabda: "Aku akan datang." maka di awal siang Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam dan Abu Bakar berangkat, beliau minta izin dan akupun memberinya izin (masuk). Namun beliau tidak langsung duduk hingga beliau bertanya: "Tempat mana yang engkau sukai untuk aku jadikan tempat shalat di rumahmu ini?" lalu aku memberi isyarat kepada beliau tempat yang aku sukai. Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam kemudian berdiri dan kami membuat shaf di belakangnya, lalu beliau shalat dua raka'at bersama kami.
