Welcome to the study of authentic hadith selected by ULYAH. Let's look at some of the following sayings of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam, one by one, with an open heart to put them into practice. 1st Hadith. God willing عَبْدُ اللَّهْ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing الْمُلاَمَسَةِ وَالْمُنَابَذَةِ .. Has told us [Abu Bakr bin Abu Syaibah] said, has told us [Abdullah bin Numair] and [Abu Usamah] from [Ubaidullah bin Umar] from [Khubaib bin 'Abdurrahman] from [Hafsh bin Ashim] from [Abu Hurairah] he said, "The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam forbade two models of buying and selling; Mulamasah and Munabadzah (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2169.) 2nd hadith. God willing God bless you God bless you God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings .” God willing God bless you مَعِي .. It has been told to us that [Abu Bakr bin Abu Syaibah] and [Sahl bin Abu Sahl] both said; has told us [Sufyan bin Uyainah] from [Az Zuhri] from ['Atha bin Yazid Al laitsi] from [Abu Sa'id Al Khudri] said; "The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam prohibited buying and selling using the mumasah and menabadzah systems." Sahl added, "Sufyan said, "Mulamasah is someone holding goods (merchandise) without paying attention to them. While munabadzah, someone says, 'throw your things at me, then I will throw mine (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2170.) 3rd Hadith. God bless you God willing ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ " لاَ يَبِيعُ بَعْضُكُمْ عَلَى بَيْعِ بَعْضٍ " .. It has been told to us [Suwaid bin Sa'id] said, it has been told to us [Malik bin Anas] from [Nafi'] from [Ibn Umar] that the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Let none of you transact the transactions of his brother (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2171.) 4th Hadith. God bless you God willing هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ " لاَ يَبِيعُ الرَّجُلُ عَلَى بَيْعِ أَخِيهِ وَلاَ يَسُومُ عَلَى سَوْمِ أَخِيهِ " .. Has told us [Hisyam bin Ammar] said, has told us [Sufyan] from [Az Zuhri] from [Sa'id Ibnul Musayyab] from [Abu Hurairah] from the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, he said: "Let not a man carry out a transaction based on his brother's transaction, or bid on his brother's offer (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2172.) 5th Hadith. قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مُصْعَبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الزُّبَيِْ God bless you مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ نَهَى عَنِ النَّجْشِ .. I read in the presence of [Mush'ab bin Abdullah Az Zubairi] from [Malik]. (and narrated from another route) Has told us [Abu Hudzafah] said, has told us [Malik bin Anas] from [Nafi'] from [Ibn Umar] said, "The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam forbade buying and selling by means of Najasy (increasing the price to deceive the buyer) (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2173.) 6th Hadith. God bless you God bless you God willing قَالَ " لاَ تَنَاجَشُوا " .. It has been told to us that [Hisyam bin Ammar] and [Sahl bin Abu Sahl] both said; has told us [Sufyan] from [Az Zuhri] from [Sa'id] from [Abu Hurairah] from the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, he said: "Do not buy and sell by means of Najasy (increasing the price to deceive the buyer) (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2174.) 7th Hadith. God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. God bless you may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind لِبَادٍ " .. Has told us [Abu Bakr bin Abu Syaibah] said, has told us [Sufyan bin Uyainah] from [Az Zuhri] from [Sa'id Ibnul Musayyab] from [Abu Hurairah] that the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Let not city people sell to village people (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2175.) 8th Hadith. God willing God willing God willing يَبِيعُ حَاضِرٌ لِبَادٍ دَعُوا النَّاسَ يَرْزُقُ اللَّهُ بَعْضَهُمْ مِنْ بَعْضٍ " .. It has been told to us [Hisyam bin Ammar] said, it has been told to us [Sufyan bin Uyainah] from [Abu Az Zubair] from [Jabir bin Abdullah] that the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Let not city people sell to village people. Leave them alone, Allah will provide them with sustenance through their neighbors (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2176.) 9th Hadith. حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ or Allah's blessings مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ طَاوُسٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ God willing God bless you. God bless you .. Has told us [Al Abbas bin Abdul Azhim Al 'Anbari] said, has told us [Abdurrazaq] said, has told us [Ma'mar] from [Ibn Thawus] from [his father] from [Ibnu Abbas] he said, "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam forbade city people from selling to village people." I asked Ibnu Abbas, "What does he mean by 'city people sell to village people'?" he replied, "Don't let him become a broker (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2177.) 10th Hadith. God willing مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنِ هِشَامِ God willing هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ " اَ تَلَقَّوُا الأَجْلاَبَ فَمَنْ تَلَقَّى مِنْهُ شَيْئًا "" .. It has been told to us that [Abu Bakr bin Abu Syaibah] and [Ali bin Muhammad] both said; has told us [Abu Usamah] from [Hisyam bin Hassan] from [Muhammad bin Sirin] from [Abu Hurairah] from the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, he said: "Do not block a trading caravan, whoever stops it and buys something from it, then when it arrives at the market the owner can choose (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2178.) 11th Hadith. may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنْ الله عليه وسلم ـ عَنْ تَلَقِّي الْجَلَبِ .. It has been told to us [Uthman bin Abu Syaibah] said, it has been told to us ['Abdah bin Sulaiman] from [Ubaidullah bin Umar] from [Nafi'] from [Ibn Umar] he said, "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) forbade blocking the trading caravan (before it reached the market) (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2179.) 12th Hadith. God willing God bless you God willing God willing God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing الْبُيُوعِ .. Has told us [Yahya bin Hakim] said, has told us [Yahya bin Sa'id] and [Hammad bin Mas'adah] from [Sulaiman At Taimi]. (in another way mentioned) Has told us [Ishaq bin Ibrahim bin Habib bin Asy Syahid] said, has told us [Mu'tamir bin Sulaiman] he said, "I heard [my father] say; has told us [Abu Uthman An Nahdi] from [Abdullah bin Mas'ud] he said, "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam forbade blocking trade caravans (Derajat: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2180.) 13th Hadith. God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. عُمَرَ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ " Allah's blessings بِالْخِيَارِ مَا لَمْ يَتَفَرَّقَا وَكَانَْ يُخَيِّرْ أَحَدُهُمَا الآخَرَ فَإِنْ خَيَّرَ أَحَدُهُمَا الآخَرَ فَتَبَايَعَا عَلَى ذَلِكَ فَقَدْ وَجَبَ الْبَيْعُ . وَإِنْ تَفَرَّقَا بَعْدَ أَنْ تَبَايَعَا وَلَمْ يَتْرُكْ وَاحِدٌ مِنْهُمَا الْبَيْعَ فَقَدْ وَجَبَ الْبَيْعُ " .. Has told us [Muhammad bin Rumh Al Mishri] said, has told us [Al Laits bin Sa'd] from [Nafi'] from [Abdullah bin Umar] from Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, he said: "If two people make a transaction with each other, then each of them has the right to choose as long as they have not separated. Both, or each of them equally have the right to choose (to continue or cancel the sale and purchase). If one of them makes an offer then both of them come to an agreement, then the sale and purchase is valid. If the two of them separate after the agreement has been reached, and one of them does not fail the transaction, the sale and purchase has become valid (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2181.) 14th Hadith. God bless you God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings عليه وسلم ـ " الْبَيِّعَانِ بِالْخِيَارِ مَِ يَتَفَرَّقَا " .. Has told us [Ahmad bin Abdah] and [Ahmad Ibnul Miqdam] both said; has told us [Hammad bin Zaid] from [Jamil bin Murrah] from [Abu Al Wadli'i] from [Abu Barzah Al Aslami] he said, "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Two people who buy and sell have a choice as long as they have not separated (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2182.) 15th Hadith. حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدَ مَنْصُورٍ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ، حَدَّثَنَا God willing قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " بِالْخِيَارِ مَا لَمْ يَتَفَرَّقَا " .. It has been told to us that [Muhammad bin Yahya] and [Ishaq bin Mansur] both said; has told us [Abdu Ash Shamad] said, has told us [Syu'bah] from [Qatadah] from [Al Hasan] from [Samurah] he said, "Rasululullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Two people who buy and sell have a choice as long as they have not separated (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2183.) 16th Hadith. God bless you God willing God bless you عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدْ may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " اخْتَرْ " . فَقَالَ الأَعْرَابِيُّ عَمْرَكَ اللَّهَ بَيِّعًا .. Has told us [Harmalah bin Yahya] and [Ahmad bin Isa] both from Egypt, they said; has told us [Abdullah bin Wahb] said, has told me [Ibnu Juraij] from [Abu Zubair] from [Jabir bin Abdullah] he said, "Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bought a milk container from a village Arab. When the sale and purchase had taken place, Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Choose." The village Arab said, "May Allah give you life. long in buying and selling (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2184.) 17th Hadith. may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind God bless you God willing God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings وسلم ـ " إِنَّمَا الْبَيْعُ عَنْ تَرَاضٍ " .. Has told us [Al Abbas bin Al Walid Ad Dimasyqi] said, has told us [Marwan bin Muhammad] said, has told us [Abdul Aziz bin Muhammad] from [Dawud bin Shalih Al Madini] from [his father] said; I heard [Abu Sa'id] say, "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Only buying and selling takes place with mutual consent (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2185.) 18th Hadith. God willing God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. God willing God willing فَاخْتَلَفَا فِي الثَّمَنِ . فَقَالَ ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ God bless you. قَيْسٍ إِنَّمَا اشْتَرَيْتُ مِنْكَ بِعَشْرَةِ آلاَفٍ . God bless you سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ . فَقَالَ هَاتِهِ . قَالَ فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings God bless you فَالْقَوْلُ مَا قَالَ الْبَائِعُ أَوْ يَتَرَادَّانِ الْبَيْعَ " . قَالَ فَإِنِّي أَرَى أَنْ أَرُدَّ الْبَيْعَ ." فَرَدَّهُ .. It has been told to us that [Uthman bin Abu Syaibah] and [Muhammad bin Ash Shabbah] both said; has told us [Husyaim] said, has reported to us [Ibn Abu Laila] from [Al Qasim bin 'Abdurrahman] from [his father] that Abdullah bin Mas'ud sold a slave to Al Asy'ats bin Qais, but the two of them disagreed in determining the price. Ibn Mas'ud said, "I sold this to you for twenty thousand," while Al Asy'ats bin Qais said, "I bought it from you for ten thousand." [Abdullah bin Mas'ud] then said, "If you want, I will read a hadith that I heard from Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam," Al Asy'ats said, "Please." Abdullah bin Mas'ud said, "Indeed, I heard Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam say: "If in a sale and purchase there is a dispute between the two parties and there is no evidence between them even though the transaction has taken place, the words that are used as guidance are the words of the seller, or the buyer and seller both withdraw payment and the goods." Ash'ats answered, "I agree to return the goods," then he did so (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2186.) 19th hadith. God bless you God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing يَسْأَلُنِي الْبَيْعَ وَلَيْسَ عِنْدِي أَفَأَبِيعُهُ قَالَ " لاَ تَبِعْ مَا لَيْسَ عِنْدَكَ " .. Has told us [Muhammad bin Basyhar] said, has told us [Muhammad bin Ja'far] said, has told us [Syu'bah] from [Abu Bisyr] he said; I heard [Yusuf bin Mahak] narrate from [Hakim bin Hizam] he said, "I said, "O Messenger of Allah, a man asked me to sell, and I don't have something, so can I sell it?" He replied: "Do not sell something that is not yours (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2187.) 20th hadith. God bless you God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " لاَ يَحِلُّ بَيْعُ مَا لَيْسَ عِنْدَكَ وَلاَ رِبْحُ مَا لَمْ يُضْمَنْ " .. Has told us [Azhar bin Marwan] he said; has told us [Hammad bin Zaid]. (in another way it is stated) Has told us [Abu Kuraib] said, has told us [Isma'il bin Ulayyah] both said; has narrated to us [Ayyub] from [Amru bin Syu'aib] from [his father] from [his grandfather] he said, "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "It is not halal to sell something that you do not own, and there is no profit in something that has no guarantee (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2188.) 21st Hadith. may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind God bless you عَتَّابِ بْنْ may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings يُضْمَنْ .. Has told us [Uthman bin Abu Syaibah] said, has told us [Muhammad bin Al Fudlail] from [Al Laits] from ['Atha] from ['Attab bin Asid] he said, "When Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam sent him to Makah, he forbade him (buying) cloth if there was no guarantee (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2189.) 22nd Hadith. God bless you God willing God willing جُنْدُبٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ " God willing لِلأَوَّلِ مِنْهُمَا " .. Has told us [Humaid bin Mas'adah] said, has told us [Khalid Ibnul Harith] said, has told us [Sa'id] from [Qatadah] from [Al Hasan] from [Uqbah bin Amir] or [Samurah bin Jundab] from the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, he said: "Any man who sells goods to two people, then the rightful one is the first (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2190.) 23rd Hadith. may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind God willing God willing قَتَادَةَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings فَهُوَ لِلأَوَّلِ " .. It has been told to us that [Al Husain bin Abu Sarri Al 'Asqlani] and [Muhammad bin Isma'il] both said; has told us [Waki'] said, has told us [Sa'id bin Basyir] from [Qatadah] from [Al Hasan] from [Samurah] he said, "Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "If there are two bidders in a sale and purchase, then the rightful one is the first (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2191.) 24th Hadith. God bless you God willing God willing نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الْعُرْبَانِ .. It has been told to us [Hisyam bin Ammar] said, it has been told to us [Malik bin Anas] said, it has come to me from ['Amru bin Syu'aib] from [his father] from [his grandfather] said, "The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam forbade buying and selling using the 'Urban system (buying using the panjer method, if it fails the money is not returned) (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2192.) 25th Hadith. may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind مُحَمَّدٍ، كَاتِبُ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنَ God willing God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. God willing لَمْ أَشْتَرِ الدَّابَّةَ فَالدِّينَارَانِ لَكَ .. Has told us [Al Fadll bin Ya'qub Ar Rukhami] said, has told us [Habib bin Abu Habib Abu Muhammad] -scribe Malik bin Anas- said, has told us [Abdullah bin Amir Al Aslami] from [Amru bin Syu'aib] from [his father] from [his grandfather] said, "The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam has prohibited buying and selling using the 'Urban system." Abu Abdullah said, "'Urban is like if a man buys an animal for one hundred dinars, then he gives two dinars as a panjer. Then he says, "If I don't buy it, then the two dinars are yours." And it is said, "(Namely) Allah knows best with a man who buys something, then to the seller he hands over one dirham, or less than that, or more than that, then he says, "If I take the item then the transaction is complete, if not then money one dirham is yours (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2193.) 26th Hadith. God bless you عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزْ God bless you قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ عَنْ بَيْعِ الْغَرَرِ وَعَنْ بَيْعِ الْحَصَاةِ .. Has told us [Muhriz bin Salamah Al 'Adani] said, has told us [Abdul Aziz bin Muhammad] from [Ubaidullah] from [Abu Az Zinad] from [Al A'raj] from [Abu Hurairah] he said, "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam forbade buying and selling gharar (causing losses to others) and buying and selling hashah (Degree: sahih. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2194.) 27th Hadith. God willing God willing God willing God bless you may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings .. It has been told to us that [Abu Kuraib] and [Al Abbas bin Abdul Azhim Al Anbari] both said; has told us [Aswad bin Amir] said, has told us [Ayyub bin Utbah] from [Yahya bin Abu Katsir] from ['Atha] from [Ibn Abbas] he said, "Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam prohibited the buying and selling of gharar (causing losses to others) (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2195.) 28th Hadith. God bless you God willing God willing God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ عَنا فِي بُطُونِ الأَنْعَامِ حَتَّى تَضَعَ وَعَمَّا فِي ضُرُوعِهَا God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing الصَّدَقَاتِ حَتَّى تُقْبَضَ وَعَنْ ضَرْبَةِ الْغَائِصِ .. Has told us [Hisyam bin Ammar] said, has told us [Hatim bin Isma'il] said, has told us [Jahdlam bin Abdullah Al Yamani] from [Muhammad bin Ibrahim Al Bahili] from [Muhammad bin Zaid Al Abdi] from [Syahr bin Hausyab] from [Abu Sa'id Al Khudri] he said; "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) forbade buying anything that was still in the animal's stomach until it gave birth, and anything that was in its milk bag except with a measure. And from buying runaway slaves, buying war booty until it is distributed, buying alms wealth until it is distributed and from buying the results of a diver (because the results are not yet clear) (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2196.) 29th Hadith. God bless you God willing God willing الْحَبَلَةِ .. Has told us [Hisyam bin Ammar] said, Has told us [Sufyan bin Uyainah] from [Ayyub] from [Sa'id bin Jubair] from [Ibn Umar] said, "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam forbade selling children (animals) that were still in the womb (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2197.) 30th Hadith. God willing God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings God bless you " ." بَعْضَهُ وَقَدَحٌ نَشْرَبُ فِيهِ الْمَاءَ . قَالَ " ائْتِنِي بِهِمَا " . قَالَ فَأَتَاهُ بِهِمَا فَأَخَذَهُمَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ بِيَدِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ " مَنْ يَشْتَرِي هَذَيْنِ " . فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ أَنَا آخُذُهُمَا بِدِرْهَمٍ . قَالَ " مَنْ يَزِيدُ عَلَى دِرْهَمٍ " ." God bless you. وَأَخَذَ الدِّرْهَمَيْنِ فَأَعْطَاهُمَا الأَنْصَارِيَّ وَقَالَ " اشْتَرِ بِأَحَدِهِمَا طَعَامًا فَانْبِذْهُ إِلَى أَهْلِكَ وَاشْتَرِ بِالآخَرِ قَدُومًا فَأْتِنِي بِهِ " . فَفَعَلَ فَأَخَذَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ اذْهَبْ فَاحْتَطِبْ وَلاَ أَرَاكَ خَمْسَةَ عَشَرَ يَوْمًا " . فَجَعَلَ يَحْتَطِبَ God bless you وَبِبَعْضِهَا ثَوْبًا " . ثُمَّ قَالَ " هَذَا خَيْرٌ لَكَ مِنْ أَنْ تَجِيءَ وَالْمَسْأَلَةُ نُكْتَةٌ فِي وَجْهِكَ may Allah bless him and give him peace لِذِي فَقْرٍ مُدْقِعٍ أَوْ لِذِي غُرْمٍ مُفْظِعٍ أَوْ دَمٍ مُوجِعٍ " .. Has told us [Hisyam bin Ammar] said, has told us [Isa bin Yunus] said, has told us [Al Akhdlar bin Ajlan] said, has told us [Abu Bakr Al Hanafi] from [Anas bin Malik] said, "A man from the Ansar came to the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam and asked him. So he asked him: "Is there anything in your house?" He answered, "Yes. A saddle mat which we partly used and partly spread out, and a glass which we used to drink water." He said: "Give me both of them." Anas said, "The man then took them both until the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam took them in his hand, then said: "Who wants to buy these two things?" A man said, "I want to buy it for one dirham!" He asked again: "Who wants to increase it?" He repeated the question two or three times. Then a man said, "I will buy it for two dirhams." Then he gave the item to him, then asked for payment and gave it to Ansar's friend. He then said: "Buy food with one dirham for your family, and buy an ax for the rest. After that, bring the ax to me." The man did so, Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam then took an ax and put wood as a handle. He then said: "Go and look for firewood, and for these fifteen days I do not want to see you." After that, the man went to look for firewood and sold it. Then he came to the Prophet after earning ten dirhams, he then said: "Buy food with half your money and buy clothes with the other half." Then he said: "This is better for you than for you to come and beg. On the Day of Judgment begging will become a black spot on your face, so you should not beg except for people who are very poor, or people who are in debt, or painful blood (to pay the fine for killing someone) (Degree: authentic. And a man who pledges allegiance to a leader, he does not pledge allegiance except to gain the world.
