Welcome to the study of authentic hadith selected by ULYAH. Let's look at some of the following sayings of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam, one by one, with an open heart to put them into practice. 1st Hadith. God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. مَيْمُونَةَ بِنْتِ سَعْدٍ، - مَوْلاَةِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم - أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم سُئِلَ عَنْ وَلَدِ الزِّنَا فَقَالَ " نَعْلاَنِ أُجَاهِدُ فِيهِمَا خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَنْ أُعْتِقَ وَلَدَ الزِّنَا " .. It has been told to us [Abu Bakr bin Abu Syaibah], it has been told to us [Fadlal bin Dukain], it has been told to us [Isra'il] from [Zaid bin Jubair] from [Abu Yazid Adl Dlibbi] from [Maimunah bint Sa'ad] a former slave girl of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam that the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam was asked about the child of an adulterer, he said: "The two sandals that I wear are better than me freeing an adulterous child (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2531.) 2nd hadith. God bless you مَسْعَدَةَ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَلَفٍ God willing God willing God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing أُعْتِقَهُمَا " إِنْ أَعْتَقْتِهِمَا فَابْدَئِي بِالرَّجُلِ قَبْلَ الْمَرْأَةِ " .. Has told us [Muhammad bin Basyar], has told us [Hammad bin Mas'adah], (Similarly narrated from another route), Has told us [Muhammad bin Khalaf Al 'Asqalani] and [Ishaq bin Manshur], both of them said; has told us [Ubaidullah bin Abdul Majid], has told us [Ubaidullah bin Abdurrahman bin Mauhab] from [Qasim bin Muhammad] from ['Aisyah], indeed he had a slave boy and a slave girl wife, so he said to the Messenger of Allah; "In fact, I want to free them both." So Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "If you want to free him then start with the man before the woman (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2532.) 3rd Hadith. God bless you God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing God bless you وَقَدْ or لا يَحِلُّ دَمُ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ إِلاَّ فِي إِحْدَى ثَلاَثٍ God willing نَفْسًا بِغَيْرِ نَفْسٍ أَوْ رَجُلٌ ارْتَدَِ إِسْلاَمِهِ " ." وَلاَ فِي إِسْلاَمٍ وَلاَ قَتَلْتُ نَفْسًا مُسْلِمَةً وَلاَ ارْتَدَدْتُ مُنْذُ أَسْلَمْتُ .. Has told us [Ahmad bin Abdah], has told us [Hammad bin Zaid] from [Yahya bin Sa'id] from [Abu Umamah bin Sahal bin Hunaif] that Uthman bin Affan once led a group. Then Uthman heard that they were discussing the matter of murder. [Uthman bin Affan] said; "They threatened to kill me! Why do they want to kill me? Even though I heard Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam say: "It is not halal for the blood of a muslim, except in one of three cases: a person who commits adultery and is (married), then he must be stoned. someone who kills another person without right, or someone who apostates after he embraces Islam.' By Allah, I have never committed adultery either during ignorance or Islam, I have also never killed a person muslim and I have never apostatized after I embraced Islam (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2533.) 4th Hadith. may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind خَلاَّدٍ الْبَاهِلِيُِ God willing عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنْ may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings مُسْلِمٍ يَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَأَنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهْ God willing الْمُفَارِقُ لِلْجَمَاعَةِ " .. It has been told to us [Ali bin Muhammad] and [Abu Bakr bin Khallad AL Bahili], both of them said; has told us [Waki'] from ['A'masy] from [Abdullah bin Murrah] from [Masruq] from [Abdullah bin Mas'ud] said; Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "It is not halal for the blood of a muslim who has said the shahada, except for one of three things: someone who kills another person without right, someone who was previously married but committed adultery and someone who left the congregation, namely an apostate and left Islam (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2534.) 5th Hadith. God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ or (مَنْ بَدَّلَ دِينَهُ فَاقْتُلُوهُ ).. Has told us [Muhammad bin Shabah], has told us [Sufyan bin Uyainah] from [Ayyub] from [Ikrimah] from [Ibn Abbas], he said, "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Whoever changes his religion, then kill him (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2535.) 6th Hadith. Allah's blessings Allah's blessings جَدِّهِ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " God bless you God willing " .. Has told us [Abu Bakr bin Abu Syaibah], has told us [Abu Usamah] from [Bahz bin Hakim] from [his father] from [his grandfather] said; Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Allah subhanahu wata'ala does not accept the deeds of a polytheist who associates partners with Allah after previously converting to Islam, until he separates himself from the polytheists and joins the muslimin (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2536.) 7th Hadith. God willing God bless you God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing قَالَ " إِقَامَةُ حَدٍّ مِنْ حُدُودِ اللَّهِ خَيْرٌ مِنْ مَطَرِ أَرْبَعِينَ لَيْلَةً فِي بِلاَدِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ " .. Has told us [Hisyam bin 'Ammar], has told us [Walid bin Muslim], has told us [Sa'id bin Sinan] from [Abu Zahiriyyah] from [Abu Syajarah Katsir bin Murrah] from [Ibn Umar], Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Implementing one of the hudud laws is better than forty nights of rain in the lands of Allah Azza wa Jalla (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2537.) 8th Hadith. God bless you God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings God willing صَبَاحًا " .. Has told us [Amru bin Rafi'], has told us [Abdullah bin Mubarak], has told us [Isa bin Yazid], he said; I thought it was from [Jarir bin Yazid] from [Abu Zur'ah bin Amru bin Jarir] from [Abu Hurairah] said; Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "The law of hudud that is implemented on earth is better than being given rain for forty days in the morning (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2538.) 9th Hadith. حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَم God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًـ God willing حَدًّا فَيُقَامَ عَلَيْهِ " .. Has told us [Nashr bin Ali Al Jahdlami], has told us [Hafsh bin Umar], has told us [Hakam bin Aban] from [Ikrimah] from [Ibn 'Abbas], he said; The Messenger of Allah said, sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam: "Whoever rejects one verse of the Qur'an, it is lawful to cut off his neck, and whoever says, there is no god worthy of worship except Allah, the only one who has no partner and indeed Muhammad is His servant and messenger, then there is no way for anyone to kill him, unless he has violated Allah's law, then hudud is established over him (Degree: sahih. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2539.) 10th Hadith. may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing God bless you may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings God willing لَوْمَةُ لاَئِمٍ " .. Has told us [Abdullah bin Salim Al Mafluj], has told us [Ubaidah bin Al Aswad] from [Al Qasim bin Al Walid] from [Abu Sadiq] from [Rabi'ah bin Najid] from ['Ubadah bin Shamit], he said; said the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam: "Enforce Allah's law of hudud both to those close and to those who are far away, and do not let the insults of those who insult you influence you in the way of Allah (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2540.) 11th Hadith. God willing مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings God willing وَمَنْ لَمْ يُنْبِتْ خُلِّيَ سَبِيلُهُ فَكُنْتُ فِيمَنْ لَمْ يُنْبِتْ فَخُلِّيَ سَبِيلِي .. It has been told to us [Abu Bakr bin Abu Syaibah] and [Ali bin Muhammad], both of them said; has told us [Waki'] from [Sufyan] from [Abdul Malik bin Umair] he said; I heard [Athiah Al Qurazhi], he said; "We were shown to Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam during the Bani Quraizhah war. At that time, enemies whose pubic hair had grown (had grown up) had to be killed. Those whose pubic hair had not yet grown were left free. I was one of those who did not have pubic hair, so I was freed." Has told us [Muhammad bin As Shabah], has told me [Sufyan bin Uyainah] from [Abdul Malik bin Umair] said; I heard [Athiyah Al Qurazhi] say; "At that time I was among you (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2541.) 12th Hadith. God bless you بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، وَأَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ وَأَبُو أُسَامَةَ قَالُوا God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings God willing فَلَمْ يُجِزْنِي وَعُرِضْتُ عَلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْخَنْدَقِ وَأَنَا ابْنُ خَمْسَ عَشْرَةَ سَنَةً فَأَجَازَنِي . قَالَ نَافِعٌ فَحَدَّثْتُ بِهِ عُمَرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ فِي God willing وَالْكَبِيرِ .. It has told us [Ali bin Muhammad], it has told us [Abdullah bin Numair] and [Abu Mu'awiyah] and [Abu Usamah], they said; has told us [Ubaidullah bin Umar] from [Nafi'] from [Ibn Umar] said; "I was confronted by Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam during the battle of Uhud and at that time I was only fourteen years old. So Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam did not allow me to join the war. Then I was confronted again during the battle of Khandaq and at that time I was already fifteen years old, so he allowed me to join the war. Nafi said; Then I told this to Umar bin Abdul Aziz during his reign, and he said; "This is separation between small children and adults (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2543.) 13th Hadith. Allah's blessings God bless you " مَنْ سَتَرَ مُسْلِمًا سَتَرَهُ اللَّهُ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ " .. It has been told to us [Abu Bakr bin Abu Syaibah], it has been told to us [Abu Mu'awiyah] from [Al 'A'masy] from [Abu Salih] from [Abu Hurairah] said; Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Whoever covers someone's disgrace muslim, Allah will cover that person's disgrace in this world and the hereafter (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2544.) 14th Hadith. God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings وَجَدْتُمْ لَهُ مَدْفَعًا " .. Has told us [Abdullah bin Al Jarrah], has told us [Waki'] from [Ibrahim bin Al Fadlal] from [Sa'id bin Abu Sa'id] from [Abu Hurairah] said; Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Enlighten the hudud, while you have the opportunity (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2545.) 15th Hadith. God willing God bless you God bless you God bless you " مَنْ سَتَرَ عَوْرَةَ may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing كَشَفَ اللَّهُ عَوْرَتَهُ حَتَّى يَفْضَحَهُ بِهَا فِي بَيْتِهِ " .. It has been told to us [Ya'qub bin Humaid bin Kasib], it has been told to us [Muhammad bin Uthman Al Jumahi], it has been told to us [Hakam bin Aban] from [Ikrimah] from [Ibn 'Abbas], from the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, he said: "Whoever covers his brother's disgrace muslim, Allah will cover his disgrace on the Day of Resurrection, and whoever indulges in his brother's disgrace muslim, then Allah will reveal his disgrace until his ugliness is exposed in his house (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2546.) 16th Hadith. God bless you اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنِ ابْنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَِ God willing فِيهَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالُوا وَمَنْ يَجْتَرِئُ عَلَيْهْ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing, God willing " أَتَشْفَعُ فِي حَدٍّ مِنْ حُدُودِ اللَّهِ " . ثُمَّ قَامَ فَاخْتَطَبَ فَقَالَ " أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّمَا هَلَكَ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا إِذَا سَرَقَ فِيهِمُ الشَّرِيفُ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing مُحَمَّدٍ سَرَقَتْ لَقَطَعْتُ يَدَهَا " . قَالَ مُحَمَّدُ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing Allah's blessings اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ أَنْ تَسْرِقَ وَكغِي لَهُ أَنْ يَقُولَ هَذَا .. It has been told to us by [Muhammad bin Rumh Al Mishri], it has been reported to us by [Laits bin Sa'ad] from [Ibn Shihab] from [Urwah] from [Aisyah] that the people of Quraysh were worried about what would happen to a woman from the Makhzumivah tribe who had stolen. They said, "Who will speak about this to the Messenger of Allah?" Some people said, "Who else would be brave, apart from Usamah bin Zaid, the figure whom the Prophet loved?" Then Usamah spoke about it to the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam. So he said: "Will you offer intercession or forgiveness in matters of hudud law?" Then he stood up while giving a speech, he said: "O people! Indeed, those before you have perished, because if a noble person among them steals, they allow it. But if a weak person among them steals, then they carry out the hudud law. By Allah! If Fatimah, the daughter of Muhammad had stolen, I would have cut off her hand myself." Muhammad bin Rumh said, "I heard Laits bin Sa'd say, 'Truly Allah has protected her (Fatimah) from theft.' So every Muslim should say something like this (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2547.) 17th Hadith. God willing عَبْدُ اللَّهْ God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. God willing God willing God willing فَجِئْنَا إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم نُكَلِّمُهُ وَقُلْنَا نَحْنُ نَفْدِيهَا بِأَرْبَعِينَ أُوقِيَّةً . فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم "" خَيْرٌ لَهَا " ." فَلَمَّا سَمِعْنَا لِينَ قَوْلِ رَسُولِ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing كَلِّمْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم . فَلَمَّا رَأَى God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. فَقَالَ " مَا إِكْثَارُكُمْ عَلَىَّ فِي حَدٍّ مِنْ حُدُودِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَقَعَ عَلَّ message God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing لَقَطَعَ مُحَمَّدٌ يَدَهَا " .. Has told us [Abu Bakr bin Abu Syaibah], has told us [Abdullah bin Numair], has told us [Muhammad bin Ishaq] from [Muhammad bin Thalhah bin Rukanah] from his mother [Aisyah bint Mas'ud bin Al Aswad] from [his father] said; when there was a woman from his people who stole from the house of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, we raised her and it turned out that the woman was from Quraish, we went to the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam to report it, we said; "We paid for forty uqiyah." The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Purifying oneself is better for him." When we heard that Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam rejected it, we went to Usamah, we said; "Bless the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, O Usamah!" Until finally the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam stood up while giving a speech, he said: "What causes you to prevent me from enforcing the laws of Allah that happened to a slave of Allah's slaves? By whose hand Muhammad's soul is in His hands, if Muhammad's daughter Fatimah had stolen, Muhammad himself would have cut off her hand (Degree: authentic. God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing God bless you may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing اللَّهِ وَائْذَنْ لِي حَتَّى أَقُولَ . قَالَ " قُلْ " . قَالَ إِنَّ ابْنِي كَانَ عَسِيفًا عَلَى هَذَا وَإِنَّهُ God bless you وَخَادِمٍ فَسَأَلْتُ رَجُلاً مِنْ أَهْلِ الِْ love عَامٍ وَأَنَّ عَلَى امْرَأَةِ هَذَا الرَّجْمَ . فَقَالَ may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings بِيَدِهِ لأَقْضِيَنَِ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing عَلَى امْرَأَةِ هَذَا فَإِنِ اعْتَرَفَتْ فَارْجُمْهَا " ." قَالَ هِشَامٌ فَغَدَا عَلَيْهَا فَاعْتَرَفَتْ فَرَجَمَهَا .. It has been told to us [Abu Bakr bin Abu Syaibah] and [Hisyam bin Ammar] and [Muhammad bin Shabah], all of them said; has told us [Sufyan bin Uyainah] from [Az Zuhri] from [Ubaidullah bin Abdullah] from [Abu Hurairah] and [Zaid bin Khalid] and [Syibl] said; We are on the side of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam. then someone came to see him, he said; "I ask you in the name of Allah to decide this punishment with the book of Allah. His companion said, "He apparently was smarter, "O Messenger of Allah, decide for us with the Book of Allah and allow me to speak." The Prophet said: "Speak." The man said; "Indeed, my son worked for someone, then he committed adultery with that person. I atoned for this adultery by giving him a hundred goats and a servant. I asked the experts of knowledge, then I was told that the punishment for my son was one hundred lashes and one year's exile. Meanwhile, the woman was sentenced to stoning. The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "By Allah! I will decree for both of you with the book of Allah, One hundred goats and one servant should be returned to you, your child shall be punished with one hundred lashes and exiled for a year. Go, Unais! Meet that woman. if he admits it, then stone him" Hisham said, "Unais then went to the woman and she confessed, and then he was stoned (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2549.) 19th hadith. God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنْ حِطَّانَ بْنِ God willing رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " خُذُوا عَنِّي خُذُوا may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings بِالْبِكْرَ بِالثَّيِّبِ جَلْدُ مِائَةٍ وَالرَّجْمُ " .. Has told us [Bakr bin Khalaf Abu Bisyir], has told us [Yahya bin Sa'id] from [Sa'id bin Abu Arubah] from [Qatadah] from [Yunus bin Jubair] from [Hithan bin Abdullah] from [Ubadah bin Shamit], he said; "The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Take (the legal decree) from me. Allah has made a way for them, virgins and virgins, by being scourged a hundred times and exiled for one year. Meanwhile, a widow and a widower were beaten a hundred times and stoned (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2550.) 20th hadith. God bless you God willing God bless you God bless you بِقَضَاءِ رَسُولّ كَانَتْ أَحَلَّتْهَا لَهُ جَلَدْتُهُ مِائَةً وَإِنْ لَمْ تَكُنْ أَذِنَتْ لَهُ رَجَمْتُهُ .. Has told us [Humaid bin Mas'adah], has told us [Khalid bin Al Harith], has told us [Sa'id] from [Qatadah] from [Habib bin Salim] said; "There came to [Nu'man bin Basyir] a man who had committed adultery with his wife's slave, so he said: "I will not punish him except according to the law of the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, if his wife is pleased with him then I will beat her a hundred times and if she is not willing then I will stone her (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2551.) 21st Hadith. God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing جَارِيَةَ امْرَأَتِهِ فَلَمْ يَحُدَّهُ .. It has been told to us [Abu Bakar bin Abu Syaibah], it has been told to us [Abdus Salam bin Harb] from [Hisyam bin Hasan] from [Al Hasan] from [Salamah bin Al Muhabbiq] that the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam once reported someone who had had sexual intercourse with his wife's female slave and he did not stone her (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2552.) 22nd Hadith. God willing God willing God willing God willing God bless you God bless you God willing God bless you God bless you وَقَدْ قَرَأْتُهَا الشَّيْخُ وَالشَّيْخَةُ إِذَا زَنَيَا God bless you الله عليه وسلم وَرَجَمْنَا بَعْدَهُ .. It has been told to us [Abu Bakr bin Abu Syaibah] and [Muhammad bin Shabah], both of them said; has told us [Sufyan bin Uyainah] from [Az Zuhri] from [Ubaidullah bin Abdullah bin Utbah] from [Ibnu Abbas], he said, [Umar bin Khaththab] said; "I'm worried that after a long time has passed, someone will say, "I didn't find the law of stoning in the Book of Allah (Al Qur'an), that they will go astray because they abandon one of Allah's Shari'ah. Remember! In fact, the law of stoning is true. Has told us [Abu Bakr bin Abu Syaibah], has told us [Abbad bin Al Awwam] from [Muhammad bin Amru] from [Abu Salamah] from [Abu Hurairah], he said; "Maiz bin Malik came to the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, I have committed adultery.' However, Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam ignored him. Then he said again, "I have committed adultery." And the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam ignored it. Then he said again, "I have committed adultery." Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam continued to ignore it. Then he said again, "I have committed adultery." However, Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam still didn't care about it until he made a vow four times. Then the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam ordered him to be stoned. When his body was hit by a stone, he ran away because of the pain. Then he met someone who was carrying a camel's jawbone in his hand. This man finally hit Maiz until he fainted. The story of Maiz's flight when he was hit by a stone was told to Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, then he said: "Shouldn't you let it be? (Degree: authentic. Then the Messenger of Allah called one of the scholars from among them and said, "I call you in the name of Allah Who sent down the Torah to the Prophet Moses. Is that how you find the punishment for an adulterer?" He answered, "No" and if you had not sworn to me, I would not have told you this. In our book, we find that the punishment for an adulterer is stoning, but very many of our high-ranking officials were subject to stoning. If we arrest an official, we let him alone, and if we arrest someone from the lower classes, we enforce the law on him. Finally we gathered, from among the nobles and commoners, to agree that the punishment for adulterers was to have their faces smeared with charcoal and lashing instead of stoning. Then Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "O Allah, indeed I was the first to live up to Your command, when they had abolished it.
