Welcome to the study of authentic hadith selected by ULYAH. Let's look at some of the following sayings of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam, one by one, with an open heart to put them into practice. 1st Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ زِيَادٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهْ God willing God willing أُخْبِرُكَ صَم love God willing God willing الْغَلَسَ ‏.‏. Has told me from Malik from [Yazid bin Ziyad] from [Abdullah bin Rafi'] former slave Umm Salamah, wife of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, he asked Abu Hurairah about prayer times. So [Abu Hurairah] said; I will explain it to you, (namely;) perform the noon prayer when your shadow is exactly your height, and the Asr prayer when your shadow is twice as long, the maghrib prayer when the sun sets and the Isha` prayer between you and a third of the night. And perform the morning prayer at the end of the night while it is still dark (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 9.) 2nd hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ God bless you God willing مُرْتَفِعَةٌ ‏.‏. Having told me from Malik from [Ibn Shihab] from [Anas bin Malik], he said; "We prayed the afternoon prayer, then one of us went to Quba`, and when we got there the sun was still visible high (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 11.) 3rd Hadith. God willing الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنْ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing بِعَشِيٍّ ‏.‏. Has told me from Malik from [Rabi'ah bin Abu Abdurrahman] from [Al Qasim bin Muhammad], he said; "I did not find people, unless they were performing the midday prayer during 'asyiy (Degree: sahih. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 12.) 4th Hadith. God willing God bless you God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind God willing أَبِي سُهَيْلٍ - ثُمَّ نَرْجِعُ بَعْدَ صَلاَةِ الْجُمُعَةِ فَنَقِيلُ قَائِلَةَ الضَّحَاءِ ‏.‏. Had told me Yahya from Malik from his uncle - [Abu Suhail bin Malik] - from [his father], he said; "I saw a rug belonging to 'Uqail bin Abu Talib on Friday placed on the west wall of the mosque, so when the shadow of the rug had covered the entire rug, [Umar bin Al Khatthab] came out and prayed Friday prayers." Malik said; "Then we went home after Friday prayers and slept qailulah at noon (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 13.) 5th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ يَحْيَى God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing الْعَصْرَ بِمَلَلٍ » وَسُرْعَةِ السَّيْرِ ‏.‏. It has been told to me from Malik from ['Amru bin Yahya Al Mazini] from [Ibn Abu Salith], that [Uthman bin 'Affan] prayed Friday prayers in Medina and Asr prayers in Malal, which was to speed up Friday prayers and speed up the journey (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 14.) 6th Hadith. God bless you أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْن God bless you God willing ‏"‏ ‏.‏. Yahya has told me from Malik from [Ibn Shihab] from [Abu Salamah bin Abdurrahman] from [Abu Hurairah] Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Whoever gets one raka'at of prayer, then he has got that prayer (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 15.) 7th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing الرَّكْعَةُ فَقَدْ فَاتَتْكَ السَّجْدَةُ ‏.‏. Has told me from Malik from [Nafi'] from [Abdullah bin Umar bin Khathab] said; "If you miss your ruku' then you have missed one raka'at (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 16.) 8th Hadith. God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing ‏.‏. Has told me Yahya from Malik from [Nafi'], [Abdullah bin Umar] said; "The meaning of 'dulukus syamsi' (shift of the sun) is its slipping (Degree: sahih. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 19.) 9th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ الْحُصَيْنِ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي مُخْبِرٌ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing وَظُلْمَتُهُ ‏.‏. Has told me from Malik from [Daud bin Al Hushain] said he had told me [someone], that [Abdullah bin 'Abbas] said; "The meaning of 'dulukus syamsi (shift of the sun)' is when the shadows have appeared. 'Ghasaqul lail (dark night)' is a night that is completely silent and dark (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 20.) 10th Hadith. God willing اللَّهِ بْنْ قَالَ ‏ "‏ الَّذِي تَفُوتُهُ صَلاَةُ الْعَصْرِ كَأَنَّمَا وُتِرَ أَهْلَهُ وَمَالَهُ ‏"‏ ‏.‏. Has told me Yahya from Malik from [Nafi'] from [Abdullah bin Umar] Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "A person who misses the Asr prayer is like a person who loses his family and property (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 21.) 11th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، أَنَّ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing فَلَقِيَ رَجُلاً لَمْ يَشْهَدِ الْعَصْرَ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ مَا may Allah bless him and give him peace God bless you. مَالِكٌ وَيُقَالُ لِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ وَفَاءٌ وَتَطْفِيفٌ ‏.‏. It has been told to me from Malik from [Yahya bin Sa'id], after [Umar bin Al Khatthab] finished the Asr prayer, he met a man who did not participate in the Asr prayer, and asked; "What prevents you from joining Asr prayers?" then the man said the reason, then Umar said; "You have reduced your reward." Malik said; "Everything is complete and incomplete (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 22.) 12th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ الْمُصَلِّيَ لَيُصَلِّي الصَّلاَةَ وَمَا - فَاتَهُ أَوْ أَفْضَلُ - مِنْ أَهْلِهِ وَمَالِهِ ‏.‏ قَالَ يَحْيَى قَالَ مَالِكٌ مَنْ أَدْرَكَ الْوَقْتَ وَهُوَ فِي سَفَرٍ فَأَخَّرَ Allah's blessings may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind فَلْيُصَلِّ صَلاَةَ الْمُقِيمِ وَإِنْ كَانَ قَدْ قَدِمَ وَقَدْ may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings God willing مَالِكٌ وَهَذَا الأَمْرُ هُوَ الَّذِي أَدْرَكْتُ عَلَيْهِ النَّاسَ وَأَهْلَ الْعِلْمِ بِبَلَدِنَا ‏ . God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing وَخَرَجْتَ مِنْ وَقْتِ الْمَغْرِبِ ‏.‏. Having told me from Malik from [Yahya bin Said] he said; "The person who performs prayer does not waste his time. If his time is wasted because of prayer, then that is better than losing his family and property (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 23.) 13th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ God bless you الصَّلاَةَ ‏.‏ قَالَ مَالِكٌ وَذَلِكَ فِيمَا نَرَى - وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ - أَنَّ الْوَقْتَ قَدْ ذَهَبَ فَأَمَّا مَنْ أَفَاقَ فِي الْوَقْتِ فَإِنَّهُ يُصَلِّي ‏.‏. It was told to me from Malik from [Nafi'], that [Abdullah bin 'Umar] was unconscious and lost his memory, and he did not make up his prayers. Malik said; "In our opinion, Allah knows better, that is, when the time has passed, as for the person who is aware of the time, he must pray (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 24.) 14th Hadith. God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing وسلم حِينَ قَفَلَ مِنْ خَيْبَرَ أَسْرَى حَتَّى إِذَا كَانَ مِنْ God bless you الصُّبْحَ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ وَنَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَأَصْحَابُهُ وَكَلأَ بِلاَلٌ مَا قُدِّرَ لَهُ ثُمَّ اسْتَنَدَ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. عَيْنَاهُ فَلَمْ يَسْتَيْقِظْ or وسلم وَلاَ بِلاَلٌ وَلاَ أَحَدٌ مِنَ الرَّكْبِ حَتَّى God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing وسلم فَقَالَ بِلاَلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَخَذَ بِنَفْسِي may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings عليه وسلم ‏"‏ اقْتَادُوا ‏"‏ ‏.‏ فَبَعَثُوا رَوَاحِلَهُمْ may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. قَضَى الصَّلاَةَ ‏"‏ مَنْ نَسِيَ الصَّلاَةَ فَلْيُصَلِّهَا God willing فِي كِتَابِهِ ‏{‏أَقِمِ الصَّلاَةَ لِذِكْرِي ‏}‏ ‏"‏ ‏.‏. Yahya has told me from Malik from [Ibn Shihab] from [Sa'id bin Musayyab] when Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam conquered Khaibar, he walked until the end of the night then stopped to rest, then said to Bilal; "Watch at dawn to wake us up," then Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam and his companions slept, while Bilal kept watch by being strengthened, when it was approaching dawn he leaned against his vehicle, and finally he fell asleep. Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam, Bilal and the other companions did not wake up until the sun woke them up, Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam was surprised, and Bilal said to him; "O Messenger of Allah, something has happened to me as has happened to you," then Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Lead your mounts", so they got up and guided their mounts for a while, then Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam told Bilal to say the iqamah, and Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam prayed the morning prayer with them, when he had finished his prayer said, "Whoever forgets to pray then pray when he remembers. Because Allah Ta'ala says in His book: 'establish prayer to remember Me (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 25.) 15th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ عَرَّسَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم لَيْلَةً God willing لِلصَّلاَةِ فَرَقَدَ بِلاَلٌ وَرَقَدُوا حَتَّى اسْتَيْقَظُوا وَقَدْ طَلَعَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الشَّمْسُ فَاسْتَيْقَظَ الْقَوْمُ وَقَدْ فَزِعُوا فَأَمَرَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهَ God bless you وَقَالَ ‏"‏ إِنَّ هَذَا وَادٍ بِهِ شَيْطَانٌ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ فَرَكِبُوا حَتَّى خَرَجُوا مِنْ ذَلِكَ الْوَادِي ثُمَّ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing وَأَنْ يَتَوَضَّئُوا وَأَمَرَ بِلاَلاً أَنْ يُنَادِيَ God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing مِنْ فَزَعِهِمْ فَقَالَ ‏"‏ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَبَضَ أَرْوَاحَنَا وَلَوْ شَاءَ لَرَدَّهَا إِلَيْنَا God willing God willing فَلْيُصَلِّهَا كَمَا كَانَ يُصَلِّيهَا فِي وَقْتِهَا ‏"‏ ‏.‏ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind قَائِمٌ يُصَلِّي فَأَضْجَعَهُ فَلَمْ يَزَلْ يُهَدِّئُهُ كَمَا يُهَدَّأُ الصَّبِيُّ حَتَّى نَامَ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ ثُمَّ دَعَا رَسُولُ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏.‏. Having told me from Malik from [Zaid bin Aslam] he said; "One night Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam stopped to rest on a road in Mecca, ordered Bilal to wake them up at prayer time, then Bilal fell asleep and they too, so the sun rose. They woke up in a state of surprise, then Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam told them to drive their vehicles out of the valley. Then (Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam) said: "Indeed, this valley has devils in it, "Then they walked until they left the place, then he ordered them to stop for ablution and told Bilal to say the call to prayer or iqamah, then the Messenger of Allah prayed with the people, after that he turned around looking at them in fear, then said: "O people, Allah has taken our souls, if He wills He will surely take our souls at other than this time, if one of you falls asleep from the prayer or forgets and then remembers then do it as He did it at that time. the time." Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam turned to Abu Bakr and said: "Indeed the devil came to Bilal while he was standing praying and made him fall asleep, and he still lulled him as a mother lulls her baby until he falls asleep", then he called Bilal and he told the Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam as he reported to Abu Bakr, then Abu Bakr said: "I testify that you are the Messenger of Allah. (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 26.) 16th Hadith. God willing عَنْ عَطَاءِ بِ وسلم قَالَ ‏"‏ إِنَّ شِدَّةَ الْحَرِّ مِنْ فَيْحِ جَهَنَّمَ فَإِذَا اشْتَدَّ الْحَرُّ فَأَبْرِدُوا عَنِ الصَّلاَةِ "" ‏"‏ يَا رَبِّ أَكَلَ بَعْضِي بَعْضًا ‏.‏ فَأَذِنَ لَهَا بِنَفَسَيْنْ فِي الصَّيْفِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏. Yahya has told me from Malik from [Zaid bin Aslam] from ['Atho` bin Yasar], Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Indeed, the intense heat comes from the blowing of Jahannam, so if the heat is intense, postpone the prayer until it is shaded." And he said: "Hell complained to its Rabb, and said; 'O my Rabb, some of me eat others' then (Allah 'azza wajalla) permitted it two breaths every year, one breath in winter and another breath in summer (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 27.) 17th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، God bless you God willing God bless you may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings فَأَبْرِدُوا عَنِ الصَّلاَةِ فَإِنَّ شِدَّةَ الْحَرِّ مِنْ فَيْحِ جَهَنَّمَ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ وَذَكَرَ ‏"‏ أَنَّ النَّارَ God willing بِنَفَسَيْنِ نَفَسٍ فِي الشِّتَاءِ وَنَفَسٍ فِي الصَّيْفِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏. It has been told to me Malik from [Abdullah bin Yazid] a former slave of Al Aswad bin Sufyan, from [Abu Salamah bin Abdurrahman], and from [Muhammad bin Abdurrahman bin Tsauban] from [Abu Hurairah], Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "If the heat is intense, then wait for prayer until it is shaded, because the intense heat comes from the blowing of Jahannam," and he said, "that hell complains to His Rabb, then Allah permits it in every year with two breaths, one breath in winter and one breath in summer (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 28.) 18th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنِ God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing ‏"‏ ‏.‏. The narrator explains; and has told me from Malik from [Abu Az Zinad] from [Al A'raj] from [Abu Hurairah] Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "When the heat is intense then postpone the time of prayer until it is cool, because the severity of the heat comes from the blowing of Jahannam (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 29.) 19th hadith. God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing وسلم قَالَ ‏ "‏ مَنْ أَكَلَ مِنْ هَذِهِ الشَّجَرَةِ فَلاَ يَقْرُبْ مَسَاجِدَنَا يُؤْذِينَا بِرِيحِ الثُّومِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏. Has told me Yahya from Malik from [Ibn Shihab] from [Sa'id bin Musayyab] Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Whoever eats this tree (onions), do not approach our mosque, because its smell can disturb us (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 30.) 20th hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings God willing الثَّوْبَ عَنْ فِيهِ جَبْذًا شَدِيدًْ فِيهِ ‏.‏. It has been told to me from Malik from [Abdurrahman bin Al Mujabbar], that he saw [Salim bin Abdullah], when he saw a person who covered his mouth while praying, he pulled his shirt so hard that it fell from his mouth (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 31.) 21st Hadith. God willing فَأَفْرَغَ عَلَى يَدِهِ فَغَسَلَ يَدَيْنِ ثُمَّ تَمَضْمَضَ وَاسْتَنْثَرَ ثَلاَثًا ثُمَّ God bless you God willing God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings غَسَلَ رِجْلَيْهِ ‏.‏. Has told me Yahya from Malik from ['Amru bin Yahya Al Mazini] from [his father], he said to Abdullah Zaid bin Ashim and he was the grandfather of 'Amru bin Yahya Al Mazini, one of the companions of Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam; "Can you show me how Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam performs ablution?" Abdullah bin Zaid bin 'Ashim said; "Yes." so he asked for ablution water, then poured it over his hands, and washed his hands twice. then he rinsed his mouth and performed his first breath three times. Then he washed his face three times, then he washed his hands up to the elbows twice or twice. Then he rubbed his head with both hands, back and forth, he started from the front of his head then continued it to the nape of his neck and returned it to where he started then he washed his two feet (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 32.) 22nd Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنِ God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings فَلْيَجْعَلْ فِي أَنْفِهِ مَاءً ثُمَّ لِيَنْثِرْ وَمَنِ اسْتَجْمَرَ فَلْيُوتِرْ ‏"‏ ‏.‏. It has been narrated to me from Malik from Abu Az Zinad from [Al A'raj] from [Abu Hurairah], Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "When one of you performs wudhu, then let him put water in his nose and then do his istintsar. And whoever performs his wudhu' with a stone, let it be with an odd number (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 33.) 23rd Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ أَبِي God willing God willing فَلْيَسْتَنْثِرْ وَمَنِ اسْتَجْمَرَ فَلْيُوتِرْ ‏"‏ ‏.‏. It has been told to me from Malik from [Ibnu Syihab] from [Abu Idris Al Khaulani] from [Abu Hurairah], Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Whoever performs ablution, let him do Istintsar and whoever makes Istijmar, do it with an odd number (Degree: Sahih. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 34.) 24th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings يَتَوَضَّأُ بِالْمَاءِ لِمَا تَحْتَ إِزَارِهِ ‏.‏ قَالَ يَحْيَى سُئِلَ مَالِكٌ عَنْ رَجُلٍ تَوَضَّأَ فَنَسِيَ فَغَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَتَمَضْمَضَ أَوْ غَسَلَ ذِرَاعَيْهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَغْسِلَ وَجْهَهُ فَقَالَ أَمَّا الَّذِي غَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَتَمَضْمَضَ فَلْيُمَضْمِضْ وَلاَ يُعِدْ وَأَمَّا الَّذِي غَسَلَ ذِرَاعَيْهِ قَبْلَ وَجْهِهِ فَلْيَغْسِلْ وَجْهَهُ ثُمَّ لِيُعِدْ غَسْلَ ذِرَاعَيْهَ كَانَ ذَلِكَ فِي مَكَانِهِ أَوْ بِحَضْرَةِ ذَلِكَ ‏.‏ قَالَ يَحْيَى وَسُئِلَ مَالِكٌ عَنْ رَجُلٍ نَسِيَ أَنْ يَتَمَضْمَضَ حَتَّى صَلَّى قَالَ لَيْسَ عَلَيْهِ أَنْ يُعِيدَ صَلاَتَهُ وَلْيُمَضْمِضْ وَيَسْتَنْثِرْ مَا يَسْتَقْبِلُ إِنْ كَانَ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ ‏.‏. It has been told to me from Malik from [Yahya bin Muhammad bin Thahla`] from [Uthman bin Abdurrahman], that [his father] told him, that he heard, that [Umar bin Al Khatthab] performed ablution with the water used for his rituals (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 36.) 25th Hadith. Has told me from Malik from [Zaid bin Aslam], about the interpretation of the verse: "O you who believe, when you want to pray then wash your faces and your hands up to the elbows, and wipe your heads and feet up to the ankles" which is like that when you have woken up from sleep (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 39.) 28th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ، كَانَ يَنَامُ جَالِسًا ثُمَّ يُصَلِّي وَلاَ يَتَوَضَّأُ ‏.‏. The narrator explains; has told me, from Malik from [Nafi'], that [Ibn Umar] once slept sitting up and then he prayed and did not perform ablution (Degree: authentic. The narrator explains; has told me from Malik from [Shafwan bin Sulaim] from [Sa'id bin Salamah] among the Bani Al Arzaq, from [Al Mughirah bin Abu Burdah] among the Bani Abdud Dar, that he heard [Abu Hurairah] say; someone came to Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam and said; "O Messenger of Allah, we are sailing on the sea while we only carry a little water. If we perform ablution with it we will get thirsty, can we perform ablution with it?" Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Sea water is holy, its carcasses are halal (Degree: authentic. The narrator explains; has told me from Malik from [Ishaq bin Abdullah bin Abu Thalhah] from [Humaidah bint Ubaid bin Rifa'ah] from his aunt - [Kabsyah bint Ka'ab bin Malik] - and he was under the care of Abu Qatadah Al Ansari, he told him that [Abu Qatadah] visited him, Kabsyah poured ablution water on him, suddenly a cat came and drank from his ablution water, then he brought the vessel closer so that the cat drank from it. Kabsyah said; Then he saw me who was watching him and said; "Are you surprised O my brother's daughter?" He says; then I said, "Yes." Abu Qatadah explained that the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Cats are not unclean, because they are animals that are around us (Degree: authentic. The narrator explains; has told me from Malik from [Yahya bin Said] from [Muhammad bin Ibrahim bin Al Harits At Taimi] from [Yahya bin Abdurrahman bin Hathib], that [Umar bin Al Khathab] once went out with a group in which there was 'Amru bin Al Ash, when they arrived at a lake, 'Amru bin Al Ash said to the owner of the lake; "O keeper of the lake, are there wild animals drinking from your lake?" then Umar bin Al Khatthab interrupted; "O keeper of the lake, don't tell us, we drink from water that wild animals have drunk and wild animals also drink from water that we have drunk (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 45.) 34th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّهُ رَأَى رَبِيعَةَ بْنَ أَبِي God willing مِرَارًا وَهُوَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَلاَ يَنْصَرِفُ وَلاَ يَتَوَضَّأُ حَتَّى يُصَلِّيَ ‏.‏ قَالَ يَحْيَى وَسُئِلَ مَالِكٌ عَنْ رَجُلٍ قَلَسَ طَعَامًا هَلْ God willing وَلْيَتَمَضْمَضْ مِنْ ذَلِكَ وَلْيَغْسِلْ فَاهُ ‏.‏. The narrator explains; has told me from Malik, that he saw [Rabi'ah bin Abu Abdurrahman] vomiting repeatedly while he was in the mosque, but he did not move out and did not perform ablution until he had performed the prayer (Degree: authentic. The narrator explains; has told me from Malik from [Yahya bin Said] from [Busyair bin Yasar] a former slave of Bani Haritsah, from [Suwaid bin An Nu'man], that he informed him, he had been out with Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam during the Khaibar War, when they were in Shahba`, a place on the edge of Khaibar, Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam stopped and prayed Asr, then he asked supplies, but nothing was found except sawiq, so he ordered to mix it with water. Then Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam ate it, and we also ate it. After that he got up to the west and gargled his mouth, and we also rinsed our mouths, then prayed without performing ablution (Degree: authentic.
