Welcome to the study of authentic hadith selected by ULYAH. Let's look at some of the following sayings of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam, one by one, with an open heart to put them into practice. 1st Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَبِي نُعَيْمٍ، وَهْبِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، يَقُولُ God bless you فَلَمْ يُصَلِّ إِلاَّ وَرَاءَ الإِمَامِ ‏.‏. Has told me from Malik from [Abu Nu'aim Wahab bin Kaisan] that he heard [Jabir bin Abdullah] say; "Whoever prays one rak'ah without reading the Ummul Qur'an (Al Fatihah) in it, then let him not pray except behind the imam (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 186.) 2nd hadith. Allah's blessings God willing مَوْلَى هِشَامِ بْنِ زُهْرَةَ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ or وسلم يَقُولُ ‏"‏ مَنْ صَلَّى صَلاَةً لَمْ يَقْرَأْ فِيهَا God bless you غَيْرُ تَمَامٍ ‏"‏ ‏." God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ ‏"‏ قَالَ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى قَسَمْتُ الصَّلاَةَ God willing وَنِصْفُهَا لِعَبْدِي وَلِعَبْدِي مَا سَأَلَ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهْ الْعَبْدُ ‏{‏الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ‏}‏ God bless you وَيَقُولُ الْعَبْدُ ‏{‏الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ‏}‏ يَقُولُ may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings ‏{‏مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ‏}‏ يَقُولُ اللَّهُ مَجَّدَنِي God bless you God bless you وَلِعَبْدِي مَا سَأَلَ يَقُولُ الْعَبْدُ ‏{‏اهْدِنَا God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing عَلَيْهِمْ غَيْرَ ‏}‏ فَهَؤُلاَءِ لِعَبْدِي وَلِعَبْدِي مَا سَأَلَ ‏"‏ ‏.‏. Yahya has told me from Malik from [Al 'Ala bin Abdurrahman bin Ya'qub] that he heard [Abu As Sa`ib] a former slave of Hisham bin Zuhrah say; I heard [Abu Hurairah] say, "I heard Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam say: "Whoever prays but does not read the Ummul Qur'an (Al Fatihah) in it, then his prayer is lacking, his prayer is lacking, his prayer is insufficient and imperfect." Abu As Sa`ib said, "Then I said, "O Abu Hurairah, I sometimes pray behind the imam," Abu As Sa`ib said, "Abu Hurairah immediately grabbed my arm and said, "Read in your heart, O Persian people," because I have heard the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam say: "Allah Tabaraka Wa Ta'ala said, 'I divide between myself and my servant in two halves, half for me and the other half for my servant, and for my servant what he asks for.' Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Read: ALHAMDU LILLAHI RABBIL 'AALAMIIN. Allah Tabaraka Wa Ta'ala said; 'My servant has praised Me'. If a servant reads; AR-RAHMAANIR RAHIIM. Allah Tabaraka Wa Ta'ala said; 'My servant has praised Me.' If a servant reads; MALIKI YAUMIDDIIN. Allah says; 'My servant has glorified Me'. If a servant reads; 'IYYAAKA NA'BUDU WA IYYAAKA NASTA'IIN'. This verse is between Me and My servant, and for him what he asks for." If a servant reads, 'IHDINAS SHIRAATHAL MUSTAQIIM, SHIRAATHAL LADZIINA AN'AMTA 'ALAIHIM GHAIRIL MAGHDLUUBI 'ALAIHIM WALAD DLAALLIIN', it is all for My servant and for him what he asks for (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 187.) 3rd Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ God willing يَجْهَرُ فِيهِ الإِمَامُ بِالْقِرَاءَةِ ‏.‏. It has been told to me from Malik from [Hisyam bin Urwah] from [his father], that he reads behind the imam during prayers which the imam does not read aloud (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 188.) 4th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، وَعَنْ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing مُحَمَّدٍ، كَانَ يَقْرَأُ خَلْفَ الإِمَامِ فِيمَا لاَ يَجْهَرُ فِيهِ الإِمَامُ بِالْقِرَاءَةِ ‏.‏. It has been told to me from Malik from [Yahya bin Sa'id] from [Rabi'ah bin Abu Abdurrahman], that [Al Qasim bin Muhammad] reads behind the imam, in prayers whose reading is not read aloud by the imam (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 189.) 5th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ رُومَانَ، أَنَّ نَافِعَ بْنَ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ، كَانَ يَقْرَأُ خَلْفَ God willing مَالِكٌ وَذَلِكَ أَحَبُّ مَا سَمِعْتُ إِلَىَّ فِي ذَلِكَ ‏.‏. It has been told to me from Malik from [Yazid bin Ruman] that [Nafi' bin Jubair bin Muth'im], he read behind the imam, in the reading which the imam did not increase." Malik said; "That is what I like most from what I have heard (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 190.) 6th Hadith. God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing وَحْدَهُ فَلْيَقْرَأْ ‏.‏ قَالَ وَكَانَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ لاَ يَقْرَأُ خَلْفَ الإِمَامِ ‏.‏ قَالَ يَحْيَى God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing يَجْهَرُ فِيهِ الإِمَامُ بِالْقِرَاءَةِ ‏.‏. Has told me Yahya from Malik from [Nafi'] that [Abdullah bin Umar] when asked, "Does anyone read behind the imam?" He answered, "If one of you prays behind the imam, the imam's reading is sufficient for him. If he prays alone, let him read." Nafi' said; "Abdullah bin Umar did not read (Al Fatihah) behind the imam (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 191.) 7th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنِ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing جَهَرَ فِيهَا بِالْقِرَاءَةِ فَقَالَ ‏"‏ هَلْ قَرَأَ مَعِي مِنْكُمْ أَحَدٌ آنِفًا ‏"‏ ‏.‏ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ نَعَمْ أَنَا يَا God bless you. God bless you. God bless you عليه وسلم ‏"‏ إِنِّي أَقُولُ مَا لِي أُنَازَعُ الْقُرْآنَ ‏"‏ ‏.” may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏.‏. Yahya has told me from Malik from [Ibnu Shihab] from [Ibnu Ukaimah Al Laitsi] from [Abu Hurairah], that when the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam finished the prayer he recited it loudly. He said: "Did any of you read with me?" There was a man who answered, "I am, O Messenger of Allah!" Abu Hurairah said, "Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: 'I said (wondered) why I was disturbed when reading the Qur'an!' (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 192.) 8th Hadith. God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ آمِينَ ‏.‏. Yahya has told me from Malik from [Ibn Shihab] from [Sa'id bin Musayyab] and [Abu Salamah bin Abdurrahman] both of them reported to him, from [Abu Hurairah], that the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "When the imam reads AAMIIN, then say AAMIIN. Whoever reads AAMIIN at the same time as the Angel's AAMIN, will surely forgiven his past sins." Ibn Shihab said, "Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam read AAMIIN (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 193.) 9th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ سُمَىٍّ، مَوْلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing رَسُولَ اللَّهْ God willing ‏{‏غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلاَ مَّالِّينَ}‏ قَوْلُهُ قَوْلَ الْمَلاَئِكَةِ غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏. It has been told to me from Malik from [Sumayya] Abu Bakr's slave from [Abu Shalih As Samman] from [Abu Hurairah] Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "When the Imam says, GHAIRIL MAGHDLUUBI 'ALAIHIM WALAD DLAALLIIN, then say, AAMIIN. Whoever the reading coincides with the Angel's reading, will surely be forgiven his past sins (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 194.) 10th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنِ God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings وَقَالَتِ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ فِي السَّمَاءِ آمِينَ فَوَافَقَتْ Allah's blessings ‏"‏ ‏.‏. It has been told to me from Malik from [Abu Az Zinad] from [Al A'raj] from [Abu Hurairah] Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "If one of you says AMEN, and the Angels in the sky also say it, then both of them will be forgiven for their past sins (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 195.) 11th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ سُمَىٍّ، مَوْلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings رَبَّنَا لَكَ الْحَمْدَ God bless you ‏.‏. It has been told to me from Malik from [Sumayya] a former slave of Abu Bakr, from [Abu Shalih As Samman] from [Abu Hurairah] that Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "If the imam reads: SAMI'A ALLAHU LIMAN HAMIDAH, then read, RABBANAA WALAKAL HAMDU. Whoever his words coincide with the prayers of the Angels, his past sins will certainly be forgiven (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 196.) 12th Hadith. God bless you مَرْيَمَ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمُعَاوِيِّ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ رَآنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ وَأَنَا أَعْبَثُ بِالْحَصْبَاءْ God bless you God bless you may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings God willing God willing God willing God willing يَفْعَلُ ‏.‏. Has told me Yahya from Malik from [Muslim bin Abu Maryam] from [Ali bin Abdurrahman Al Mu'awi] he said; "[Abdullah bin Umar] saw me playing with pebbles in prayer. When it was finished, he forbade me and said, "Do as the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) did! " I asked, "What did Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam do?" He answered, "When he sat in prayer, he placed his right hand on his right thigh, clasped all his fingers and gestured with his index finger. And he also placed his left hand on his left thigh." Abdullah bin Umar said; "This is how Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam did it (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 197.) 13th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. God willing تَرَبَّعَ وَثَنَي God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. تَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ » فَإِنِّي أَشْتَكِي ‏.‏. Has told me from Malik from [Abdullah bin Dinar] that he heard that there was a man praying beside [Abdullah bin Umar]. When the man sat down in the fourth rak'ah, he sat with his legs crossed under his thighs and his legs bent. When Abdullah had finished, he denounced the man's actions. The person said; "You do that too." Abdullah bin Umar replied, "Because my leg hurts (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 198.) 14th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ صَدَقَةَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنِ God willing عُمَرَ يَرْجِعُ فِي سَجْدَتَيْنْ قَدَمَيْهِ فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ ذَكَرَ لَهُ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ God willing هَذَا مِنْ أَجْلِ أَنِّي أَشْتَكِي ‏.‏. It has been told to me from Malik from [Shadaqah bin Yasar] from [Al Mughirah bin Hakim] that he saw [Abdullah bin Umar] propping himself up on the soles of his feet every time he raised his head from prostration. When it was finished, someone asked about it. He answered; "In fact, it is not sunnah to pray. I did it because my feet hurt (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 199.) 15th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing فَفَعَلْتُهُ وَأَنَا يَوْمَئِذٍ حَدِيثُ السِّنِّ فَنَهَانِي عَبْدُ اللَّهْ God willing ‏.” رِجْلَىَّ لاَ تَحْمِلاَنِّي ‏.‏. Has told me from Malik from [Abdurrahman bin Al Qasim] from [Abdullah bin Abdullah bin Umar] he told him, that he once saw [Abdullah bin Umar] sitting with his legs crossed under his thighs in prayer, Abdurrahman bin Al Qasim said; "I did it when I was little. Then Abdullah forbade me. Then he said; "The Sunnah in prayer is to straighten your right leg and spread your left leg." I asked, "Why do you do it?" He answered, "Because my legs are no longer strong (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 200.) 16th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ God willing God willing love الأَيْسَرَ God willing وَحَدَّثَنِي أَنَّ أَبَاهُ كَانَ يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ ‏.‏. Yahya has told me from Malik from [Yahya bin Sa'id], that [Al Qasm bin Muhammad] showed them how to sit tasyahud. He straightened his right leg, spread his left leg and sat on the left groin, and he did not sit on the soles of his feet. Then he said, "[Abdullah bin Abdullah bin Umar] has shown this to me, and he told me that [his father] did that (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 201.) 17th Hadith. God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings عَلَى الْمِنْبَرَ قُولُوا التَّحِيَّاتُ لِلَّهِ الزَّاكِيَاتُ لِلَّهِ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ ‏.‏. Yahya has told me from Malik from [Ibnu Shihab] from [Urwah bin Az Zubair] from [Abdurrahman bin Abdin Al Qari] that he heard [Umar bin Khatthab] on the pulpit teaching tasyahud to people. Umar said, "Read: 'ATTAHIYYAATU LILLAHI AZZAKIYATU LILLAHI AT THAYYIBAAT ASHSHALAWAATU LILLAHI ASSALAAMU 'ALAIKA AYYUHAN NABIYYU WA RAHMATULLAHI WA BARAKAATUH, ASSALAMU 'ALAINAA WA 'ALAA 'IBAADILLAH ASH-SHAALIHIIN. ASYHADU AN LAA ILAAHA ILLALLAH WA ASYHADU ANNA MUHAMMADAN 'ABDUHU WA RASUULUH (All holy respect belongs to Allah alone, good blessings belong to Allah alone. Safety to you, O Prophet, and Allah's Mercy and His blessings, salvation to us and the righteous servants of Allah. I testify that there is no god -who has the right to be worshiped- except Allah, and I testify that Muhammad is Allah's servant and messenger) (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 202.) 18th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ God bless you God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind God bless you God willing God bless you ‏.‏ يَقُولُ هَذَا فِي God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. God willing God willing God bless you God bless you. God bless you God willing God willing سَلَّمَ عَلَيْهِ أَحَدٌ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ رَدَّ عَلَيْهِ ‏.‏. It has been told to me from Malik from [Nafi'], that [Abdullah bin Umar] performed tasyahud by reading: BISMILLAHIT TAHIYYAATI LILLAH ASHSHALAAWATU LILLAHIZ ZAAKIYAATU LILLAAH. ASSALAAMU 'ALAN NABIYYI WARAHMATULLAHI WABARAKAATUH. ASSALAAMU 'ALAINAA WA 'ALAA 'IBAADILLAHISH SHAALIHIIN. SHAHIDTU AN LAA ILAAHA ILLALLAH, SHAHIDTU ANNA MUHAMMADAR RASULAULLAH. (In the name of Allah, all glory belongs to Allah alone and holy prayers belong to Allah alone, peace be upon you, O Prophet, and Allah's Mercy and His blessings. Peace be upon us and the righteous servants of Allah. I testify that there is no god -who has the right to be worshiped- except Allah, and I testify that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah) . Abdullah bin Umar read this in the first two rak'ahs and prayed when he had finished tasyahhud with the prayers he had. If he sits at the end of his prayer, then he sits like that too, only he puts the tashahhud first and then prays. If he has finished tasyahud and wants to greet, he reads: 'ASSALAAMU 'ALA ANNABI WARAHMATULLAHI WA BARAKAATUH. ASSALAAMMU 'ALAINaA WA 'ALAA 'IBAADILLAHISH SHALIHIIN (Salvation upon the Prophet, Allah's mercy and His blessings. Peace upon us and the righteous servants of Allah) ', 'ASSALAAMU 'ALAIKUM to his right side. Then he answered the priest's greeting. If someone greets him from his left side he also answers it (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 203.) 19th hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings God willing لِلَّهِ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ ‏.‏ may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings وَبَرَكَاتُهُ ‏.‏ السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى عِبَادِ اللَّهِ الصَّالِحِينَ السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ ‏.‏. It has been told to me from Malik from [Abdurrahman bin Al Qasim] from [his father] from [Aisyah] the wife of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, that when he prays for prayer he reads: ATTAHIYYAATUT THAYYIBAATU ASHSHALAWAATU AZZAKIYYAATU LILLAAHI. ASYHADU AN LAA ILAAHA ILLALLAH WAHDAHU LAA SYARIIKA LAHU WA ANNA MUHAMMADAN ABDUHU WA RASUULUHU. ASSALAAMU 'ALAIKA AYYUHAN NABIYYU WARAHMATULLAHI WA BARAKAATUH ASSALAAMU 'ALAINA WA'ALAA 'IBAADILLAAHIS SHAALIHIN ASSALAAMU 'ALAIKUM. (Good welfare and holy prayers belong only to Allah. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone and He has no partners. I testify that Muhammad is His servant and His messenger. Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and Allah's Mercy and His blessings. Peace be upon us and Allah's righteous servants. May peace be upon you) (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 204.) 20th hadith. God willing God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing وسلم كَانَتْ تَقُولُ إِذَا تَشَهَّدَتِ التَّحِيَّاتُ God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولُهُ may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings God bless you الصَّالِحِينَ السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ ‏.‏. Has told me from Malik from [Yahya bin Sa'id Al Ansari] from [Al Qasim bin Muhammad] he reported that [Aisyah] the wife of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam if the tasyahhud is read; ATTAHIYYAATUT THAYYIBAATU ASHSHALAWAATU AZZAKIYYAATU LILLAAHI. ASYHADU AN LAA ILAAHA ILLALLAH WAHDAHU LAA SYARIIKA LAHU WA ASYHADU ANNA MUHAMMADAN ABDULLAHI WA RASUULUH. ASSALAAMU 'ALAIKA AYYUHAN NABIYYU WARAHMATULLAHI WA BARAKAATUH ASSALAAMU 'ALAINA WA'ALAA 'IBAADILLAAHIS SHAALIHIIN ASSALAAMU 'ALAIKUM. (Good welfare and holy prayers belong only to Allah. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone and He has no partners. I testify that Muhammad is Allah's servant and His messenger. Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and Allah's Mercy and His blessings. Peace be upon us and Allah's righteous servants. May peace be upon you) (Degree: authentic. He told me from Malik that he asked [Ibnu Shihab] and [Nafi'] Ibn Umar's former slave, about a man who entered the congregational prayer and missed one rak'ah. Does he perform tashahhud with the imam in the second and fourth rak'ahs, even though they are odd rak'ahs for him? Both of them answered, "Tell him to perform tashahhud with the imam." Yahya has told me from Malik from [Muhammad bin 'Amru bin Alqamah] from [Malih bin Abdullah As Sa'di] from [Abu Hurairah] he said, "The person who raises and lowers his head before the imam, his forelocks are in the hands of Satan (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 207.) 23rd Hadith. God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing أَقَصُرَتَ God willing, God willing ‏ "‏ أَصَدَقَ ذُو God God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing سُجُودِهْ مِثْلَ سُجُودِهِ أَوْ أَطْوَلَ ثُمَّ رَفَعَ ‏.‏. Yahya has told me from Malik from [Ayyub bin Abu Tamimah As Sakhtiyani] from [Muhammad bin Sirin] from [Abu Hurairah], that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) once passed two rak'ahs. Dzul Yadain asked, "Did you make up your prayers or forgot, O Messenger of Allah?" Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam answered: "Is Dhul Yadain right?" the companions answered, "Yes, that's right." Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam then stood up to complete the other two rak'ahs, then greeted and performed takbir and prostrated as usual or for a long time. Then he got up, then said takbir, then prostrated as usual or for a long time. Then he woke up again (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 208.) 24th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ الْحُصَيْنِ، God willing God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing رَكْعَتَيْنْ God willing God willing ‏.‏ فَقَالَ قَدْ كَانَ بَعْضُ ذَلِكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ‏.” God bless you فَقَالَ ‏"‏ أَصَدَقَ ذُو الْيَدَيْنِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ فَقَالُوا نَعَمْ ‏.” God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. التَّسْلِيمِ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ ‏.‏. Having told me from Malik from [Daud bin Al Hushain] from [Abu Sufyan] former slave Ibn Abu Ahmad, he said; I heard [Abu Hurairah] say, "Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam performed the afternoon prayer, then he greeted the second rak'ah. Dzul Yadain stood up and asked, "O Rasulullah, did you make up the prayer or forgot?" Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam answered: "Neither." Dzul Yadain said, "But it happened, O Rasulullah! " Then Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam faced the people and asked: "Is Dhul Yadain true?" They answered, "Yes, it is true." So Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam stood up and completed the remaining prayer, after that he prostrated with two prostrations after the greeting, and he was sitting (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 209.) 25th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ أَبِي God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. مِنْ إِحْدَى صَلاَتَىِ النَّهَارِ - الظُّهْرِ أَوِ الْعَصْرِ - فَسَلَّمَ مِنَ اثْنَتَيْنِ فَقَالَ لَهُ ذُو الشِّمَالَيْنِ God willing God willing الصَّلاَةُ وَمَا نَسِيتُ ‏"‏ ‏." قَدْ كَانَ بَعْضُ ذَلِكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ‏.‏ فَأَقْبَلَ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing أَصَدَقَ ذُو الْيَدَيْنِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ فَقَالُوا نَعَمْ يَا رَسُولَ God willing ‏.‏ God بَقِيَ مِنَ الصَّلاَةِ ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ ‏.‏. It has been told to me from Malik from [Ibn Shihab] from [Abu Bakr bin Suliman bin Abu Hatsmah] said; It has come to me that the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam once prayed two rak'ahs between midday or asr prayers, then he greeted two rak'ahs. Dzus Syimalain asked, "O Messenger of Allah, did you make up your prayers or did you forget?" Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam answered: "I do not make up the prayer and I do not forget." Dzus Syimalain said, "O Messenger of Allah, one of them has happened." Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam faced the people and asked: "Is Dhul Yadain right?" they answered, "Yes, it is true, O Messenger of Allah." Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam then completed the remaining prayer, after that the greeting." Has told me from Malik from [Ibn Shihab] from [Sa'id bin Musayyab] and from [Abu Salamah bin Abdurrahman] as in the hadith (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 210.) 26th Hadith. God willing عَنْ عَطَاءِ بِ وسلم قَالَ ‏ "‏ إِذَا شَكَّ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي صَلاَتِهِ فَلَمْ يَدْرِ كَمْ صَلَّى أَثَلاَثًا أَمْ أَرْبَعًا فَلْيُصَلِّي رَكْعَةً وَلْيَسْجُدْ or God willing God willing كَانَتْ رَابِعَةً فَالسَّجْدَتَانِ تَرْغِيمٌ لِلشَّيْطَانِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏. It has been related to me from Malik from [Zaid bin Aslam] from [Atha bin Yasar] that Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "If one of you is doubtful in his prayer, does not know how many rak'ahs he has prayed, whether four or three? Then let him pray (again) one rak'ah, then he prostrates twice before greeting. If the rak'ah he is performing is the fifth, he has completed it with two prostrating earlier. If it is the fourth then it is to humiliate Satan (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 212.) 27th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God bless you صَلاَتِهِ فَلْيَتَوَخَّ الَّذِي يَظُنُِ God willing وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ ‏.‏. It has been told to me from Malik from [Umar bin Muhammad bin Zaid] from [Salim bin Abdullah] that [Abdullah bin Umar] said; "If one of you is in doubt in his prayer, let him look for what he believes he has forgotten in his prayer, then let him do it and then prostrate twice while he is still sitting (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 213.) 28th Hadith. God willing God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing كَمْ صَلَّى أَثَلاَثًا أَمْ أَرْبَعًا فَكِلاَهُمَا قَالَ God willing وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ ‏.‏. Has told me from Malik from [Afif bin 'Amr As Sahm] from [Atha bin Yasar] he said, "I have asked [Abdullah bin 'Amru bin Al 'Ash] and [Ka'b Al Akhbar] about a man who was doubtful in his prayer, whether he had prayed three or four rak'ahs. Both of them answered; "Tell him to pray one rak'ah then prostrate twice while still sitting (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 214.) 29th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. God willing أَنَّهُ نَسِيَ مِنْ صَلاَتِهِ فَلْيُصَلِّهِ ‏.‏. It has been told to me from Malik from [Nafi'] that [Abdullah bin Umar] when asked about forgetting in prayer, he answered, "One should look for what he believes he has forgotten, then complete his prayer (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 215.) 30th Hadith. God willing God willing قَالَ صَلَّى لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم رَكْعَتَيْنْ مَعَهُ فَلَمَّا قَضَى صَلاَتَهُ وَنَظَرْنَا تَسْلِيمَهُ كَبَّرَ ثُمَّ سَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ قَبْلَ التَّسْلِيمِ ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ ‏.‏. It has been told to me that Yahya from Malik from [Ibnu Shihab] from [Al A'raj] from [Abdullah bin Buhainah] said, "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam prayed two rak'ahs with us. Then he immediately stood up without sitting, while the people continued to follow him standing. When he finished praying and we saw his greeting, he took the takbir then prostrated twice before the greeting, after that he greeted and was still sitting. (Degree: authentic. Hadits ke-31. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ هُرْمُزَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ابْنِ بُحَيْنَةَ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ صَلَّى لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم الظُّهْرَ فَقَامَ فِي اثْنَتَيْنِ وَلَمْ يَجْلِسْ فِيهِمَا فَلَمَّا قَضَى صَلاَتَهُ سَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ ‏.‏. Telah menceritakan kepadaku dari Malik dari [Yahya bin Sa'id] dari [Abdurrahman bin Hurmuz] dari [Abdullah bin Buhainah] dia berkata; "Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam shalat zhuhur bersama kami. Beliau berdiri pada rakaat yang kedua dan tidak duduk di dalamnya. Tatkala selesai shalat, beliau sujud dengan dua kali sujud, kemudian salam setelahnya (Derajat: shahih. Sumber: Muwatta Malik no. 217.) Hadits ke-32. حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ أَبِي عَلْقَمَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ، أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ، زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَتْ أَهْدَى أَبُو جَهْمِ بْنُ حُذَيْفَةَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم خَمِيصَةً شَامِيَّةً لَهَا عَلَمٌ فَشَهِدَ فِيهَا الصَّلاَةَ فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ قَالَ ‏ "‏ رُدِّي هَذِهِ الْخَمِيصَةَ إِلَى أَبِي جَهْمٍ فَإِنِّي نَظَرْتُ إِلَى عَلَمِهَا فِي الصَّلاَةِ فَكَادَ يَفْتِنُنِي ‏"‏ ‏.‏. Telah menceritakan kepadaku Yahya dari Malik dari [Alqamah bin Abu Alqamah] dari [Ibunya], bahwa [Aisyah] isteri Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam berkata, "Abu Jahm bin Hudzaifah menghadiahkan baju dari Syam yang ada gambarnya kepada Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam. Beliau melihatnya dalam shalat. Tatkala selesai shalat beliau bersabda: "Kembalikan baju ini kepada Abu Jahm, karena aku melihat gambarnya dalam shalat dan hampir menjadi fitnah bagiku (Derajat: shahih. Sumber: Muwatta Malik no. 218.) Hadits ke-33. وَحَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم لَبِسَ خَمِيصَةً شَامِيَّةً لَهَا عَلَمٌ ثُمَّ أَعْطَاهَا أَبَا جَهْمٍ وَأَخَذَ مِنْ أَبِي جَهْمٍ أَنْبِجَانِيَّةً لَهُ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَلِمَ فَقَالَ ‏ "‏ إِنِّي نَظَرْتُ إِلَى عَلَمِهَا فِي الصَّلاَةِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏. Telah menceritakan kepadaku Malik dari [Hisyam bin Urwah] dari [Bapaknya], bahwa Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam memakai baju yang ada lukisannya, kemudian beliau memberikannya kepada Abu Jahm dan mengambil jaket kulit milik Abu Jahm. Abu Jahm bertanya, "Kenapa Wahai Rasulullah?" beliau menjawab: "Saya melihat lukisannya dalam shalat (Derajat: shahih. Sumber: Muwatta Malik no. 219.) Hadits ke-34. وَحَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، أَنَّ أَبَا طَلْحَةَ الأَنْصَارِيَّ، كَانَ يُصَلِّي فِي حَائِطِهِ فَطَارَ دُبْسِيٌّ فَطَفِقَ يَتَرَدَّدُ يَلْتَمِسُ مَخْرَجًا فَأَعْجَبَهُ ذَلِكَ فَجَعَلَ يُتْبِعُهُ بَصَرَهُ سَاعَةً ثُمَّ رَجَعَ إِلَى صَلاَتِهِ فَإِذَا هُوَ لاَ يَدْرِي كَمْ صَلَّى فَقَالَ لَقَدْ أَصَابَتْنِي فِي مَالِي هَذَا فِتْنَةٌ ‏.‏ فَجَاءَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَذَكَرَ لَهُ الَّذِي أَصَابَهُ فِي حَائِطِهِ مِنَ الْفِتْنَةِ وَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هُوَ صَدَقَةٌ لِلَّهِ فَضَعْهُ حَيْثُ شِئْتَ ‏.‏. Telah menceritakan kepadaku dari Malik dari [Abdullah bin Abu Bakar] bahwa [Abu Thalhah Al Anshari] pernah shalat di kebunnya, maka ada belalang yang terbang dan bingung mencari jalan keluar hingga Abu Thalhah terheran-heran dan matanya tertuju padanya sesaat. Dia kembali pada shalatnya dan dia tidak tahu berapa rakaat yang telah ia kerjakan?" Dia lalu berujar, "Sungguh, saya telah sibuk dengan hartaku, ini adalah fitnah." Kemudian dia menemui Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam dan menceritakan tentang fitnah yang telah menimpanya di kebun. Dia katakan, "Wahai Rasulullah! Kebun ini saya sedekahkan untuk Allah. Aturlah sesesuai kemauan anda (Derajat: shahih. Sumber: Muwatta Malik no. 220.) Hadits ke-35. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، أَنَّ رَجُلاً، مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ كَانَ يُصَلِّي فِي حَائِطٍ لَهُ بِالْقُفِّ - وَادٍ مِنْ أَوْدِيَةِ الْمَدِينَةِ - فِي زَمَانِ الثَّمَرِ وَالنَّخْلُ قَدْ ذُلِّلَتْ فَهِيَ مُطَوَّقَةٌ بِثَمَرِهَا فَنَظَرَ إِلَيْهَا فَأَعْجَبَهُ مَا رَأَى مِنْ ثَمَرِهَا ثُمَّ رَجَعَ إِلَى صَلاَتِهِ فَإِذَا هُوَ لاَ يَدْرِي كَمْ صَلَّى فَقَالَ لَقَدْ أَصَابَتْنِي فِي مَالِي هَذَا فِتْنَةٌ ‏.‏ فَجَاءَ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ - وَهُوَ يَوْمَئِذٍ خَلِيفَةٌ - فَذَكَرَ لَهُ ذَلِكَ وَقَالَ هُوَ صَدَقَةٌ فَاجْعَلْهُ فِي سُبُلِ الْخَيْرِ ‏.‏ فَبَاعَهُ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَفَّانَ بِخَمْسِينَ أَلْفًا فَسُمِّيَ ذَلِكَ الْمَالُ الْخَمْسِينَ ‏.‏. Telah menceritakan kepadaku dari Malik dari [Abdullah bin Abu Bakar], bahwa ada seorang laki-laki Anshar yang shalat di kebunnya di Al Quf -sebuah lembah yang ada di Madinah- pada musim kurma yang menjulang buahnya dan layak panen. Laki-laki itu memperhatikan buah kurma tersebut hingga membuatnya taajub, kemudian ia kembali pada konsentrasi shalatnya, namun ternyata dia tidak tahu berapa rakaat yang telah dia kerjakan?" Kemudian dia berkata, "Sungguh, saya telah tertimpa musibah dengan hartaku, ini adalah fitnah." Laki-laki itu kemudian menemui [Utsman bin Affan] yang waktu itu menjadi Khalifah. Dia menceritakan hal itu, dia katakan, "Kebun itu saya sedekahkan, maka gunakanlah di jalan kebenaran." Utsman bin Affan menjualnya dengan lima puluh ribu, hingga harta itu diberi nama Al khamsin (limapluh ribu) (Derajat: shahih. Sumber: Muwatta Malik no. 221.) Hadits ke-36. حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏ "‏ إِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ إِذَا قَامَ يُصَلِّي جَاءَهُ الشَّيْطَانُ فَلَبَسَ عَلَيْهِ حَتَّى لاَ يَدْرِي كَمْ صَلَّى فَإِذَا وَجَدَ ذَلِكَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَسْجُدْ سَجْدَتَيْنِ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ ‏"‏ ‏.‏. Telah menceritakan kepadaku Yahya dari Malik dari [Ibnu Syihab] dari [Abu Salamah bin Abdurrahman bin Auf] dari [Abu Hurairah] bahwa Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda: "Jika salah seorang dari kalian berdiri shalat, setan datang kepadanya, menggodanya hingga dia tidak tahu berapa rakaat yang telah dia kerjakan. Jika kalian mendapatkan hal itu, maka sujudlah dua kali saat masih duduk (Derajat: shahih. Sumber: Muwatta Malik no. 222.) Hadits ke-37. حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ سُمَىٍّ، مَوْلَى أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ السَّمَّانِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏ "‏ مَنِ اغْتَسَلَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ غُسْلَ الْجَنَابَةِ ثُمَّ رَاحَ فِي السَّاعَةِ الأُولَى فَكَأَنَّمَا قَرَّبَ بَدَنَةً وَمَنْ رَاحَ فِي السَّاعَةِ الثَّانِيَةِ فَكَأَنَّمَا قَرَّبَ بَقَرَةً وَمَنْ رَاحَ فِي السَّاعَةِ الثَّالِثَةِ فَكَأَنَّمَا قَرَّبَ كَبْشًا أَقْرَنَ وَمَنْ رَاحَ فِي السَّاعَةِ الرَّابِعَةِ فَكَأَنَّمَا قَرَّبَ دَجَاجَةً وَمَنْ رَاحَ فِي السَّاعَةِ الْخَامِسَةِ فَكَأَنَّمَا قَرَّبَ بَيْضَةً فَإِذَا خَرَجَ الإِمَامُ حَضَرَتِ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ يَسْتَمِعُونَ الذِّكْرَ ‏"‏ ‏.‏. Telah menceritakan kepadaku Yahya dari Malik dari [Sumayya] mantan budak Abu Bakar bin Abdurrahman, dari [Abu Shalih As Samman] dari [Abu Hurairah] bahwa Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda: "Barangsiapa mandi hari Jumat seperti mandi janabat lalu berangkat pada waktu yang pertama, maka seakan ia telah berkurban dengan seekor unta. Barangsiapa berangkat pada waktu yang kedua, maka seakan-akan dia berkurban dengan seekor sapi. Barangsiapa berangkat pada waktu yang ketiga, maka seakan dia berkurban dengan seekor kambing. Barangsiapa berangkat pada waktu yang keempat, maka seakan dia berkurban dengan seekor ayam. Dan barangsiapa berangkat pada waktu yang kelima, maka seakan dia berkurban dengan sebutir telur. Maka jika imam telah datang, para malaikat hadir untuk mendengarkan khutbah (Derajat: shahih. Sumber: Muwatta Malik no. 225.) Hadits ke-38. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ غُسْلُ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ وَاجِبٌ عَلَى كُلِّ مُحْتَلِمٍ كَغُسْلِ الْجَنَابَةِ ‏.‏. Telah menceritakan kepadaku dari Malik dari [Sa'id Abu Abu Sa'id Al Maqburi] dari [Abu Hurairah] dia berkata; "Mandi besar (mandi junub) pada hari jumat hukumnya adalah wajib bagi setiap orang yang telah mimpi basah (Derajat: shahih. Hadits ke-39. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ دَخَلَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم الْمَسْجِدَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَعُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ يَخْطُبُ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ أَيَّةُ سَاعَةٍ هَذِهِ فَقَالَ يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ انْقَلَبْتُ مِنَ السُّوقِ فَسَمِعْتُ النِّدَاءَ فَمَا زِدْتُ عَلَى أَنْ تَوَضَّأْتُ ‏.‏ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ وَالْوُضُوءَ أَيْضًا وَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يَأْمُرُ بِالْغُسْلِ ‏.‏. Telah menceritakan kepadaku dari Malik dari [Ibnu Syihab] dari [Salim bin Abdullah] ia berkata; "Ada seorang laki-laki dari sahabat Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam masuk ke dalam masjid pada hari Jumat, saat itu Umar bin Khatthab sedang berkhutbah. [Umar bin Khattab] lalu bertanya, "Jam berapa ini! " Laki-laki itu menjawab, "Wahai Amirul Mukminin, saya baru kembali dari pasar, kemudian aku mendengar adzan. Dan aku tidak sempat melakukan apapun kecuali hanya berwudlu." Umar berkata, "Hanya berwudhu saja!
