Welcome to the study of authentic hadith selected by ULYAH. Let's look at some of the following sayings of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam, one by one, with an open heart to put them into practice. 1st Hadith. God willing God willing مِنْ سَفَرٍ فَقَدَّمَ إِلَيْهِ أَهْلُهُ لَحْمًا . فَقَالَ انْظُرُوا أَنْ يَكُونَ هَذَا مِنْ لُحُومِ الأَضْحَى . فَقَالُوا هُوَ مِنْهَا . فَقَالَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ أَلَمْ يَكُنْ رَسُولُ اللَّهْ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing. God willing. God willing ذَلِكَ فَأُخْبِرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " نَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ لُحُومِ الأَضْحَى بَعْدَ ثَلاَثٍ فَكُلُوا وَتَصَدَّقُوا وَادَّخِرُوا وَنَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ Allah's blessings وَنَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ زِيَارَةِ الْقُبُورِ فَزُم تَقُولُوا هُجْرًا " . يَعْنِي لاَ تَقُولُوا سُوءًا .. It was told to me from Malik from [Rabi'ah bin Abu Abdurrahman] from [Abu Sa'id Al Khudri] that he had just come from a journey, then his family served him meat. Abu Sa'id then said; "Look at this, is this sacrificial meat?" They answered; "Yes, this is sacrificial meat." Abu Sa'id said; "Didn't the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam forbid it?" They answered; "There has been another order from Rasulullah salla Allahu 'alaihi wa sallam after you left." Abu Sa'id then came out and asked about it, then he was told that Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "I have forbidden you to eat sacrificial meat after three days, now eat it, give it in charity and keep the rest. I have also forbidden you to keep the pressed wine, now do that, and everything that is intoxicating is haram. I have also forbidden you to visit the graves, now make a pilgrimage and do not say bad words (when pilgrimage) (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 1035.) 2nd hadith. Allah's blessings God willing نَحَرْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَامَ God willing سَبْعَةٍ .. Has told me Yahya from Malik from [Abu Az Zubair Al Maki] from [Jabir bin Abdullah] he said; "At the time of Hudaibiyah, we once sacrificed together with Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam; one camel for seven people and one cow for seven people (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 1036.) 3rd Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ صَيَّادٍ، God willing Allah's blessings الْوَاحِدَةِ يَذْبَحُهَا الرَِ بَيْتِهْ .. It has been told to me from Malik from ['Umarah bin Shayyad] that ['Atha bin Yassar] told him that [Abu Ayyub Al Ansari] told him, he said, "We once sacrificed one goat for one person and his family, after that the people were proud of each other and acted arrogantly (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 1037.) 4th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ مَا نَحَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنْهُ وَعَنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ إِلاَّ بَدَنَةً وَاحِدَةً أَوْ بَقَرَةً وَاحِدَةً . قَالَ مَالِكٌ لاَ أَدْرِي أَيَّتَهُمَا قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ .. Has told me from Malik from [Ibn Shihab] said; "The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam never slaughtered for himself and his family except one camel or one cow." Malik said; "I don't know which one was said by Ibn Shihab (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 1038.) 5th Hadith. love may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings يَوْمِ الأَضْحَى . وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّهُ بَلَغَهُ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، مِثْلُ ذَلِكَ . Yahya has told me from Malik from [Nafi'] that [Abdullah bin Umar] said; "Slaughtering can be done up to two days after Eid al-Adha." It has been told to me from Malik that it has reached him, from Ali bin Abu Talib like the hadith (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 1039.) 6th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ God bless you God bless you God willing ثَمَنِهَا أَنْ يَتْرُكَهَا .. It was told to me from Malik from [Nafi'] that [Abdullah bin Umar] never sacrificed for something that was still in his mother's stomach." Malik said; "Sacrifice is sunnah and not obligatory, but I don't like people who can afford it but abandon it (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 1041.) 7th Hadith. God bless you may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings God willing God bless you هَلْ سَمَّوُا اللَّهَ عَلَيْهَا أَمْ لاَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings كُلُوهَا " . قَالَ مَالِكٌ وَذَلِكَ فِي أَوَّلِ الإِسْلاَمِ .. Has told me Yahya from Malik from [Hisyam bin Urwah] from [his father] said; "The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam was once asked: 'O Messenger of Allah, a group of Bedouins came to us with sacrificial meat, but we don't know whether they read the basmalah when slaughtering or not?" Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam answered: 'Read basmalah, then eat." Malik said; "This happened at the beginning of Islam (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 1042.) 8th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهْ God bless you فَلَمَّا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَذْبَحَهَا قَالَ لَهُ سَمِّ اللَّهَ . فَقَالَ لَهُ الْغُلاَمُ قَدْ سَمَّيْتُ . فَقَالَ لَهُ سَمِّ اللَّهَ وَيْحَكَ . قَالَ لَهُ قَدْ سَمَّيْتُ اللَّهَ . فَقَالَ لَهُ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ وَاللَّهِ لاَ أَطْعَمُهَا أَبَدًا .. It has been told to me from Malik from [Yahya bin Sa'id] that [Abdullah bin 'Ayyas bin Abu Rabi'ah Al Makhzumi] ordered his slave to slaughter an animal, and when his slave was about to slaughter it he said to him, "Recite basmallah!" "I have read it." Abdullah said again, "Woe to us, read basmallah!" The slave answered again; "I have read it." Abdullah bin Ayyas said to him; "By Allah, I will never eat it (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 1043.) 9th Hadith. God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing مِنْ بَنِي حَارِثَةَ كَانَ يَرْعَى لِقْحَةً لَهُ بِأُحُدٍ فَأَصَابَهَا الْمَوْتَ may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings بَأْسٌ فَكُلُوهَا " .. It has been told to me that Yahya from Malik from [Zaid bin Aslam] from [Atha' bin Yasar] said, "An Ansar man from Banu Haritsah once grazed a milk camel in the Uhud field, the camel then died until he slaughtered it with a sharp stick. Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam was then asked about this, he answered; "That's okay, eat the meat (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 1044.) 10th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، مِنَ God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing لَهَا بِسَلْعٍ فَأُصِيبَتْ شَاةٌ مِنْهَا فَأَدْرَكَتْهَا God bless you وسلم عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ " لاَ بَأْسَ بِهَا فَكُلُوهَا " .. It has been told to me from Malik from [Nafi'] from [An Ansar] from [Mu'adz bin Sa'ad] or Sa'ad bin Mu'adz said, "The former slave of Ka'ab bin Malik tended goats in Sal'. Then there was a goat that was almost dead, he then slaughtered it with a stone. When Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam was asked about it, he answered; "That's okay, eat its meat. (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 1045.) 11th Hadith. God willing God willing God bless you وَتَلاَ هَذِهِ الآيَةَ {وَمَنْ يَتَوَلَّهُمْ مِنْكُمْ فَإِنَّهُ مِنْهُمْ }.. It has been told to me from Malik from [Tsaur bin Zaid Ad-Dili] from [Abdullah bin Abbas] that he was once asked about the slaughter of Arab Christians. Ibn Abbas then answered, "That's okay." then he read this verse: '(Whoever makes them (Christians) as guardians for you then indeed he is part of them) ' (Qs. Al Maidah: 51) It has been told to me from Malik that it has reached him that Abdullah bin Abbas said; "Something that can sever the jugular veins of an animal, then eat its flesh (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 1046.) 12th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings بِهِ إِذَا بَضَعَ فَم .. Has told me from Malik from [Yahya bin Sa'id] from [Sa'id bin Musayyab] said; "Animals are slaughtered when their veins are cut, so it is permissible to eat them if you need them (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 1048.) 13th Hadith. God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace Allah's blessings may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind وَنَهَاهُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ . وَسُئِلَ مَالِكٌ عَنْ شَاةٍ تَرَدَّتْ فَتَكَسَّرَتْ فَأَدْرَكَهَا صَاحِبُهَا فَذَبَحَها فَسَالَ الدَّمُ مِنْهَا وَلَمْ تَتَحَرَّكْ فَقَالَ مَالِكٌ God willing فَلْيَأْكُلْهَا .. Has told me Yahya from Malik from [Yahya bin Sa'id] from [Abu Murrah] former slave 'Aqil bin Abu Talib, he asked [Abu Hurairah] about a goat that had been slaughtered but part of its body was still moving. Abu Hurairah then told him to keep eating it. Abu Murrah asked [Zaid bin Thabit] again, then Zaid answered; 'The carcass is an animal that has been slaughtered but is still moving,' then he forbade eating it (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 1049.) 14th Hadith. God willing اللَّهِ بْنْ Allah's blessings كَانَ قَدْ تَمَّ خَلْقُهُ وَنَبَتَ شَعَرُهُ فَإِذَا خَرَجَ مِنْ بَطْنِ أُمِّهِ ذُبِحَ حَتَّى يَخْرُجَ الدَّمُ مِنْ جَوْفِهِ .. Has told me Yahya from Malik from [Nafi'] from [Abdullah bin Umar] he said; "If a camel is slaughtered, then the fetus inside the camel has the same law as the camel that has been slaughtered, provided that the fetus is perfect and has hair growing. If it has emerged from the mother's stomach then it must be slaughtered until blood comes out of the throat (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 1050.) 15th Hadith. God willing God willing God bless you ذَكَاةِ أُمِّهْ شَعَرُهُ .. Has told me from Malik from [Yazid bin Abdullah bin Qusaith Al Laitsi] from [Sa'id bin Musayyab] he said; "The law of a fetus in its mother's belly is the same as its mother if it is slaughtered. This is if the fetus is perfect and has hair growing (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 1051.) 16th Hadith. God bless you may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind love may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings يُذَكِّيَهُ فَطَرَحَهُ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ أَيْضًا .. Having told me Yahya from Malik from [Nafi'] he said; "I once threw a stone at two birds, I was on the hillside. The stone hit both of them so one of them died. [Abdullah bin Umar] threw the carcass away while (the other) Abdullah bin Umar took it to slaughter it with an ax but the bird died before being slaughtered so Ibn Umar threw it away too (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 1052.) 17th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God bless you يَقْتُلُ بَعْضُهَا بَعْضًا أَوْ تَمُوتُ صَرَدًا فَقَالَ لَيْسَ God bless you. بْنَ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ فَقَالَ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ .. Has told me from Malik from [Zaid bin Aslam] from [Sa'ad Al Jaari] former slave Umar bin Khattab, said; "I asked [Abdullah bin Umar] about a group of whales killing each other, or whales freezing to death." Ibn Umar answered; "That's fine." Sa'ad said; "I then asked [Abdullah bin 'Amr bin Ash] again but he also answered as Ibn Umar said (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 1059.) 18th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنْ أَبِي God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing وَزَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، أَنَّهُمَا كَانَا لاَ يَرَيَانِ بِمَا لَفَظَ الْبَحْرُ بَأْسًا .. It has been told to me from Malik from [Abu Az Zinad] from [Abu Salamah bin Abdurrahman] from [Abu Hurairah] and [Zaid bin Thabit] that both of them consider dead animals washed up from the sea as halal to eat (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 1060.) 19th hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنْ أَبِي God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing لَفَظَ الْبَحْرُ فَقَالَ لَيْسَ بِهِ بَأْسٌ وَقَالَ اذْهَبُوا God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing فَأَتَوْهُمَا فَسَأَلُوهُمَا فَقَالاَ لاَ بَأْسَ بِهِ . فَأَتَوْا مَرْوَانَ فَأَخْبَرُوهُ . فَقَالَ مَرْوَانُ قَدْ قُلْتُ لَكُمْ . قَالَ مَالِكٌ لاَ بَأْسَ بِأَكْلِ God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings مَاؤُهُ الْحِلُّ مَيْتَتُهُ " . قَالَ مَالِكٌ وَإِذَا أُكِلَ ذَلِكَ مَيْتًا فَلاَ يَضُرُّهُ مَنْ صَادَهُ .. It has been told to me from Malik from [Abu Az Zinad] from [Abu Salamah bin Abdurrahman] that a group of people came to [Marwan bin Al Hakam], they asked about animals that had died stranded from the sea?" The two answered; "That's no problem." After that they came to Marwan and told him about the answer. 20th hadith. God willing God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind " أَكْلُ كُلِّ ذِي نَابٍ مِنَ السِّبَاعِ حَرَامٌ " .. It has been told to me by Yahya from Malik from [Ibnu Shihab] from [Abu Idris Al Khaulani] from [Abu Tsa'labah Al Khusyani] that Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Eating every wild animal that has fangs is haram (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 1062.) 21st Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي God willing God willing قَالَ " أَكْلُ كُلِّ ذِي نَابٍ مِنَ السِّبَاعِ حَرَامٌ " .. It has been told to me from Malik from [Isma'il bin Abu Hakim] from [Abidah bin Sufyan Al Hadlrami] from [Abu Hurairah] that the Messenger of Allah salla Allahu 'alaihi wa sallam said: "Eating every wild animal that has fangs is haram." Malik said; "That is the opinion we hold (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 1063.) 22nd Hadith. God bless you God willing مَسْعُودٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ God willing كَانَ أَعْطَاهَا مَوْلاَةً لِمَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings بِجِلْدِهَا " . فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّهَا مَيْتَةٌ ." إِنَّمَا حُرِّمَ أَكْلُهَا " .. Has told me Yahya from Malik from [Ibn Shihab] from [Ubaidillah bin Abdullah bin Uthbah bin Mas'ud] from [Abdullah bin Abbas] said; "The Prophet salla Allahu 'alaihi wa sallam passed by a dead goat which he had given to the former slave Maimunah, the wife of the Prophet salla Allahu 'alaihi wa sallam. He asked: 'Aren't you using the skin?' Rasulullah Salla Allahu 'alaihi wa sallam said: 'What is forbidden is eating it (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 1064.) 23rd Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنِ ابْنِ وَعْلَةَ الْمِصْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، God bless you الإِهَابُ فَقَدْ طَهُرَ " .. It has been told to me Malik from [Zaid bin Aslam] from [Ibnu Wa'lah Al Mishri] from [Abdullah bin Abbas] that Rasulullah salla Allahu 'alaihi wa sallam said: "If the skin of a carcass has been tanned then it becomes holy (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 1065.) 24th Hadith. God willing God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. أَنْ يُسْتَمْتَعَ بِجُلُودِ الْمَيْتَةِ إِذَا دُبِغَتْ .. It has been told to me from Malik from [Yazid bin Abdullah bin Qusaith] from [Muhammad bin Abdurrahman bin Tsauban] from [His mother] from ['Aisyah] the wife of the Prophet salla Allahu 'alaihi wa sallam, he said, "The Messenger of Allah salla Allahu 'alaihi wa sallam ordered to use the skin of a carcass when it has been tanned (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 1066.) Hadits ke-25. حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، مِنْ بَنِي ضَمْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنِ الْعَقِيقَةِ فَقَالَ " لاَ أُحِبُّ الْعُقُوقَ " . وَكَأَنَّهُ إِنَّمَا كَرِهَ الاِسْمَ وَقَالَ " مَنْ وُلِدَ لَهُ وَلَدٌ فَأَحَبَّ أَنْ يَنْسُكَ عَنْ وَلَدِهِ فَلْيَفْعَلْ " .. Telah menceritakan kepadaku Yahya dari Malik dari [Zaid bin Aslam] dari [seseorang dari Bani Dlamrah] dari [Bapaknya] ia berkata; "Rasulullah Shalla Allahu 'alaihi wa sallam pernah ditanya tentang hukum aqiqah. Beliau menjawab; 'Saya tidak suka aqiqah (seakan-akan beliau membenci penamaan tersebut) .'" Beliau bersabda: "Barangsiapa dikaruniai seorang anak, lantas dia berkeinginan untuk menyembelih kambing untuk anaknya maka laksanakanlah (Derajat: shahih. Sumber: Muwatta Malik no. 1067.) 26th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings وَأُمِّ كُلْثُومٍ فَتَصَدَّقَتْ بِزِنَةِ ذَلِكَ فِضَّةً .. Having told me from Malik from [Ja'far bin Muhammad] from [his father] he said; "[Fatimah] the daughter of Rasulullah salla Allahu 'alaihi wa sallam once weighed the hair of Hasan, Husain, Zainab and Umm Kulthum, then gave them silver equal to the weight of the hair scales (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 1068.) 27th Hadith. God willing God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings بِزِنَتِهِ فِضَّةً .. Has told me from Malik from [Rabi'ah bin Abu Abdurrahman] from [Muhammad bin Ali bin Al Husain] said; "[Fatimah] the daughter of Rasulullah salla Allahu 'alaihi wa sallam weighed the hair of Hasan and Husain, then she gave alms of silver equal to the weight of the hair scale (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 1069.) 28th Hadith. God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. عَنْ وَلَدِهِ بِشَاةٍ شَاةٍ عَنِ الذُّكُورِ وَالإِنَاثِ .. It has been told to me that Yahya from Malik from [Nafi'] said, "No one from Abdullah bin Umar's family asked for a goat to make an aqiqah unless he gave it. [Ibnu Umar] performed aqiqah for his children with a goat; both for boys and girls (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 1070.) 29th Hadith. God willing God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. الْعَقِيقَةَ، وَلَوْ بِعُصْفُورٍ .. Has told me from Malik from [Rabi'ah bin Abu Abdurrahman] from [Muhammad bin Ibrahim bin Al Harith At-Taimi] said; "I heard [my father] recommend aqiqah even with a bird (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 1071.) 30th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، أَنَّ God willing الذُّكُورِ، وَالإِنَاثِ، بِشَاةٍ شَاةٍ . God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. كَتَبَ إِلَى زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ يَسْأَلُهُ عَنَ God willing God willing مِمَّا لَمْ يَكُنْ يَقْضِي فِيهِ إِلاَّ الأُمَرَاءُ - يَعْنِي الْخُلَفَاءَ - وَقَدْ حَضَرْتُ الْخَلِيفَتَيْنِ قَبْلَكَ يُعْطِيَانِهِ النِّصْفَ مَعَ الأَخِ الْوَاحِدِ وَالثُّلُثَ مَعَ الاِثْنَيْنِ فَإِنْ كَثُرَتِ الإِخْوَةُ لَمْ يُنَقِّصُوهُ مِنَ الثُّلُثِ .. Yahya has told me from Malik from [Yahya bin Sa'id] that it has reached him, that Mu'awiyah bin Abu Sufyan wrote a letter to [Zaid bin Tsabi] asking about the inheritance share for a grandfather. Zaid bin Thabit then sent his reply; "You have written to me asking about grandfather's share of the inheritance. So Allah knows best, because no one has decided except the Amirs, namely the khulafa'. I lived under two Caliphs before you, who [both] gave grandfather half a share with one brother and a third with two brothers. If there are many brothers, this does not reduce one third of his share (Degree: sahih. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 1074.) Yahya has told me from Malik from [Ibn Shihab] from ['Uthman bin Ishaq bin Kharasyah] from [Qabishah bin Dzu`aib] he said, "A grandmother met Abu Bakar Ash Shidiq to ask about the inheritance that was his share. Abu Bakr then said to him; "I don't find in the Qur'an or As Sunnah Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam a share for you, so come back so I asked the muslimin people." Then Abu Bakr asked the people, then [Al Mughirah bin Syu'bah] said; "I was once present in the assembly of the Messenger of Allah salla Allahu 'alaihi wa sallam, he gave a share to a grandmother one sixth of the inheritance." Abu Bakr asked; "Are there any other witnesses besides you?" [Muhammad bin Maslamah Al Anshari] stood up and said as Al Mughirah said. Abu Bakar Ash Shiddiq then Then another grandmother came to see Umar bin Khattab and asked for his share of the inheritance. Umar said to the grandmother, "There is no part for you in the book of Allah and there is no provision that has been decided for anyone other than you. I don't want to increase anyone's share in inheritance matters, but I think the share is one sixth. If there are two of you, then you have to divide between the two of you, but if one of you dies then all the shares go to the one who is still alive (Degree: authentic. Then [Abu Bakar] wanted to give a sixth share to his maternal grandmother, then an Ansar man asked; 'How do you leave a grandmother, if she dies while her relatives are still alive then (the relative) gets all of the grandmother's property.' Abu Bakr then gave one sixth to be divided between the two (Degree: authentic. Hadits ke-37. حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ حَنْظَلَةَ الزُّرَقِيِّ، أَنَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُ عَنْ مَوْلًى، لِقُرَيْشٍ كَانَ قَدِيمًا يُقَالُ لَهُ ابْنُ مِرْسَى أَنَّهُ قَالَ كُنْتُ جَالِسًا عِنْدَ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ فَلَمَّا صَلَّى الظُّهْرَ قَالَ يَا يَرْفَا هَلُمَّ ذَلِكَ الْكِتَابَ - لِكِتَابٍ كَتَبَهُ فِي شَأْنِ الْعَمَّةِ - فَنَسْأَلَ عَنْهَا وَنَسْتَخْبِرَ فِيهَا . فَأَتَاهُ بِهِ يَرْفَا فَدَعَا بِتَوْرٍ أَوْ قَدَحٍ فِيهِ مَاءٌ فَمَحَا ذَلِكَ الْكِتَابَ فِيهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ لَوْ رَضِيَكِ اللَّهُ وَارِثَةً أَقَرَّكِ لَوْ رَضِيَكِ اللَّهُ أَقَرَّكِ .. Telah menceritakan kepadaku Yahya dari Malik dari [Muhammad bin Abu Bakar bin Muhammad bin 'Amru bin Hazm] dari [Abdurrahman bin Handzalah Az Zuraqi] bahwa ia mengabarkan kepadanya, dari [mantan budak seorang laki-laki Quraisy] -dahulu ia dipanggil dengan nama Ibnu Mirsa- ia berkata; "Aku pernah duduk di samping [Umar bin Khattab] . Ketika shalat zhuhur selesai ia berkata; 'Wahai Yarfa, bawalah kitab itu kemari -sebuah kitab yang ia tulis untuk bagian bibi dalam waris-. Kami lalu bertanya minta penjelasan tentang kitab tersebut. Yarfa kemudian membawakan kitab tersebut, Umar lantas minta diambilkan sebuah bejana atau periuk yang berisi air, lalu Umar menghapus tulisan tersebut. Umar kemudian berkata, "Jika Allah meridlai kamu (seorang bibi) menjadi ahli waris, niscaya Allah akan menetapkannya. Jika Allah meridlai kamu, niscaya Allah akan menetapkannya (Derajat: shahih.
