Welcome to the study of authentic hadith selected by ULYAH. Let's look at some of the following sayings of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam, one by one, with an open heart to put them into practice. 1st Hadith. God bless you God bless you God willing God willing لَهُ الْوَهْطُ فَإِذَا هُوَ مُخَاصِرٌ فَتًى مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ يُزَنُّ ذَلِكَ الْفَتَى بِشُرْبِ الْخَمْرِ فَقُلْتُ خِصَالٌ بَلَغَتْنِي عَم God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. God willing God willing مِنْ يَدِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ثُمَّ وَلَّى فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهْ يَقُولَ عَلَيَّ مَا لَمْ أَقُلْ وَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings God willing God bless you God willing أَنْ يَسْقِيَهُ مِنْ رَدْغَةِ الْخَبَالِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ. Has told us [Muhammad bin Yusuf] from [Al Auza'i], he said; has told me [Rabi'ah bin Yazid] from [Abdullah bin Ad Dailami], he said; I met [Abdullah bin 'Amr bin Al 'Ash] in his garden in Taif, the garden is called Al Wahth. It turned out that he was holding the hand of a young man from Quraysh who was accused of drinking khamer. I then said; "Some things have come to me that you narrated from the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, that: "Whoever drinks one drink of khamer, his prayers will not be accepted for forty days." In fact, I heard Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam say: "Whoever drinks a sip of khamr, his prayers will not be accepted for forty days, if he repents then Allah accepts his repentance - I don't know whether it is the third or fourth time - Then Allah has the right to give him a drink from the Mud of the inhabitants of Hell on the Day of Resurrection." Allah's blessings God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلَا يَقْعُدْ عَلَى مَائِدَةٍ يُشْرَبُ عَلَيْهَا الْخَمْرُ. Has told us [Muslim bin Ibrahim] has told us [Al Hasan bin Abu Ja'far] has told us [Abu Az Zubair] from [Jabir] he said; The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him not sit at a dish containing khamr." (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 3rd Hadith. God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing عَنْ جَابَانَ عَنْ عَبْدْ may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings God bless you مُدْمِنُ خَمْرٍ. It has been reported to us [Muhammad bin Katsir Al Bashri] has told us [Sufyan] from [Mansur] from [Salim bin Abu Al Ja'd] from [Jaban] from [Abdullah bin 'Amr] from the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam he said: "The child of adultery, the person who takes up his gift, the child of disobedience and alcohol addicts will not enter heaven." (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 4th Hadith. God willing الرَّحْمَنْ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدْ عَنْ جَابَانَ عَنْ عَبْدْ may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings God willing. Has told us [Ahmad bin Al Hajjaj] has told us [Abdurrahman bin Mahdi] has told us [Syu'bah] from [Mansur] from [Salim bin Abu Al Ja'd] from [Nubaith bin Syarith] from [Jaban] from [Abdullah bin 'Amr] from the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam he said: "The son of the disobedient, the one who brings up giving him and addicted to khamr." (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 5th Hadith. God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God bless you God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings God willing وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّهَا لَيْسَتْ دَوَاءً وَلَكِنَّهَا دَاءٌ. Has told us [Suhail bin Hammad] has told us [Syu'bah] has told us [Listen], he said; I asked ['Alqamah bin Wail] he told me from his father, namely [Wail], that Suwaid bin Tariq asked Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam about khamer. Then he forbade it to be made. He also said; "Indeed, khamr can be used as medicine." So the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Indeed khamr is not a medicine, but a disease." (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 6th Hadith. God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ الْخَمْرُ فِي هَاتَيْنِ الشَِ النَّخْلَةِ وَالْعِنَبَةِ. Having informed us [Abu Al Mughirah] from [Al Auza'i], he said; I heard [Abu Kathir] say; I heard [Abu Hurairah] say; I heard the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam say: "Khamer can be made from these two trees, namely date palms and grapevines." (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 7th Hadith. God willing ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ God willing عَنْ الْبِتْعِ قَالَ كُلُّ شَرَابٍ أَسْكَرَ حَرَامٌ. It has been told to us ['Ubaidullah bin Abdul Majid] has told us [Malik] from [Ibnu Shihab] from [Abu Salamah] from ['Aisyah] that the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam was once asked about Al Bit', he said: "All intoxicating drinks are haram." (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 8th Hadith. God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing God willing فَقَالَ اشْرَبُوا وَلَا تَشْرَبُوا مُسْكِرًا فَإِنَّ كُلَّ مُسْكِرٍ حَرَامٌ. Having reported to us [Muhammad bin Yusuf] from [Isra`il] from [Abu Ishaq] from [Abu Burdah bin Abu Musa] from [his father] he said; Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam once sent me and Mu'adz bin Jabal to Yemen, He said: "Drink and do not drink anything that is intoxicating, because indeed everything that is intoxicating is haram." (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 9th Hadith. God willing God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing عَبْدِ اللَّهْ سَعْدٍ عَنْ رَسُولّ قَالَ أَنْهَاكُمْ عَنْ قَلِيلِ مَا أَسْكَرَ كَثِيرُهُ. Has told us [Abdullah bin Sa'id] has told us [Abu Usamah] has told us [Al Walid bin Katsir bin Sinan] has told me [Adh Dhahhak bin Uthman] from [Bukair bin Abdullah bin Al Asyajj] from ['Amir bin Sa'd] from [Sa'd] from Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam he said: "I forbid you from a little that causes drunkenness." (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 10th Hadith. God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. يُكْفَأُ قَالَ زَيْدٌ يَعْنِي الْإِسْلَامَ كَمَا يُكْفَأُ God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings رَسُولُ اللَّهْ يُسَمُّونَهَا بِغَيْرِ اسْمِهَا فَيَسْتَحِلُّونَهَا. Has told us [Zaid bin Yahya] has told us [Muhammad bin Rasyid] from [Abu Wahb Al Kala'i] from [Al Qasim bin Muhammad] from ['Aisyah], he said; I heard Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam say: "Indeed the first thing that is spilled - Zaid said; that is in Islam - like turning over a vessel is mrnumpshksn (vessel) khamr." He asked; "How did this happen, O Messenger of Allah? Even though Allah has explained about wine as Allah has explained?" The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "They named it something other than its name, then they made it lawful." (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 11th Hadith. God bless you God willing ثَعْلَبَةَ الْخُشَنِيِِ God willing God bless you God bless you وَجَبَرُوتٌ يُسْتَحَلُّ فِيهَا الْخَمْرَ God bless you طَمَعٌ. Has told us [Marwan bin Muhammad] has told us [Yahya bin Hamzah] has told me [Abu Wahb] from [Makhul] from [Abu Tsa'labah Al Khusyani] from [Abu 'Ubaidah bin Al Jarrah] he said; Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "First in your religion is prophecy and mercy, then kingdom and mercy, then kingdoms led by evil then kingdoms and arrogance and authoritarianism, for which wine and silk are permitted." Abu Muhammad said; Al A'far is like dust and there is no hope in it. (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 12th Hadith. may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings بَاعَ الْخَمْرَ فَلْيُشَقِّصْ or مُحَمَّد إِنَّمَا هُوَ عُمَرُ بْنُ بَيَانٍ. Has told us [Sahl bin Hammad] has told us [Thu'mah] has told us ['Amr bin Bayan At Taghlibi] from ['Urwah bin Al Mughirah bin Syu'bah] from [His father] from the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam that he said: "Whoever sells khamer, as he makes halal pork." Abu Muhammad said; In fact, the truth is Umar bin Bayan. (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 13th Hadith. God willing God willing وَعْلَةَ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ بَيْعِ الْخَمْرِ فَقَالَ كَانَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing لَهُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَا فُلَانُ أَمَا عَلِمْتَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى قَدْ God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing بَيْعَهَا فَأَمَرَ بِهَا فَأُكْفِئَتْ فِي الْبَطْحَاءِ. Having told us [Ya'la] from [Muhammad bin Ishaq] from [Al Qa'qa' bin Hakim] from [Abdurrahman bin Wa'lah] he said; I asked [Ibnu Abbas] about the sale of khamer. He said; "Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam once had a friend from Tsaqif or from Daus, he met him in Makkah during the conquest of the city of Makkah, he brought a geriba containing wine which was given to him. So he said to him: "O Fulan, don't you know that Allah Ta'ala has forbidden it?" The man then turned to his slave and said; "Go and sell the wine." Spontaneously Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "What did you order him, O Fulan?" He said; "I ordered him to sell it." Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Indeed, the One who makes it forbidden to drink it also makes it forbidden to sell it." 14th Hadith. God bless you God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God bless you may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings الْيَهُودَ حُرِّمَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ or فَبَاعُوهَا قَالَ سُفْيَانُ جَمَلُوهَا أَذَابُوهَا. Has told us [Muhammad bin Ahmad] has told us [Sufyan] from ['Amr i.e. Ibn Dinar] from [Thawus] from [Ibn Abbas] he said; News had reached Umar that Samurah had been selling wine. Umar said; "May Allah fight Samurah. Doesn't he know that the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "May Allah curse the Jews, fat has been forbidden to them then they melt it and sell it." Sufyan said; "Jamaluuha means melting it." (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 15th Hadith. God willing God bless you الرَّابِعَةِ. Has told us ['Ashim bin Ali] has told us [Ibn Abu Dzi'b] from [Al Harith bin Abdurrahman] from [Abu Salamah] from [Abu Hurairah] he said; The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "If he is drunk then whip him, then if he is drunk, whip him, if he is still drunk, whip him, and if he is still drunk, then cut his neck a fourth time." (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 16th Hadith. God bless you God willing قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا يَزْنِي الزَّانِي حِينَ يَزْنِي وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ وَلَا يَسْرِقُ God bless you الْخَمْرَ حِينَ يَشْرَبُهَا وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ. Has reported to us [Muhammad bin Yusuf] from [Al Auza'i] from [Az Zuhri] from [Abu Salamah] from [Abu Hurairah], he said; The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "The person who commits adultery does not commit adultery when he is in a state of faith, and the person who steals does not steal when he steals in a state of faith, and does not drink wine when he drinks it in a state of faith." (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 17th Hadith. أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْن7 God willing كَانَ يُنْبَذُ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي السِّقَاءِ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ سِقَاءٌ نُبِذَ لَهُ فِي تَوْرٍ مِنْ بِرَامٍ. Has informed us [Yazid bin Harun] from [Abdul Malik bin Abu Sulaiman] from [Abu Az Zubair] from [Jabir] he said; The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam once made a khamr bath in a leather container. If there was no leather vessel, he made the khamer soak in a small vessel made of stone." (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 18th Hadith. God bless you God willing God willing God willing وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّا قَدْ خَرَجْنَا مِنْ حَيْثُ عَلِمْتَ وَنَزَلْنَا بَيْنَ ظَهْرَانَيْ مَنْ قَدْ God willing يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّا كُنَّا أَصْحَابَ كَرْمٍ وَخَمْرٍ وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ حَرَّمَ الْخَمْرَ فَمَا نَصْنَعُ God willing God willing God bless you God bless you God bless you خَمْرًا. It has been reported to us [Muhammad bin Katsir] from [Al Auza'i] from [Yahya bin Abu 'Amr As Saibani] from [Abdullah bin Ad Dailami] from [His father] that his father or a man among them asked the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, he said; "O Messenger of Allah, indeed we came out of a place that you knew about and we stopped among people that you knew about, so who are our helpers?" He answered: "Allah and His Messenger." He said again; "O Messenger of Allah, indeed we are those who have wine and wine, while Allah has forbidden khamr, so what should we do with wine?" He answered: "Make it into raisins." They said; "What should we do about the raisins?" He answered: "Soak it in wet geriba, soak it for your lunch, and drink it for your dinner, and soak it for your dinner and drink it for your lunch, because when morning comes and evening comes, it will become vinegar before it becomes khammer." (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 19th hadith. God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing Allah's blessings فَقَالَ حَرَّمَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ love ابْنِ عُمَرَ فَقَالَ صَدَقَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ. Having reported to us [Sa'id bin 'Amir] from [Sa'id bin 'Arubah] from [Qatadah] from ['Azrah] from [Sa'id bin Jubair], he said; I asked [Ibnu Umar] about Nabidzul Jarr, he answered; The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam has forbidden it. Then I met Ibn Abbas and told him about Ibn Umar's words, [Ibn Abbas] answered; "Abu Abdurrahman is right." (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 20th hadith. God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. مَالِكٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا تَنْتَبِذُوا فِي الدُّبَّاءِ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ. Has reported to us [Al Hakam bin Nafi'] from [Syu'aib bin Abu Hamzah] from [Az Zuhri], he said; has told me [Anas bin Malik] that the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Do not make marinade (grapes or dates) in Dubba`dan muzaffat." (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 21st Hadith. Allah's blessings God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing فَقَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الْجَرِّ وَالدُّبَّاءِ وَسَأَلْتُ ابْنَ God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings وَرَسُولُهُ أَوْ مَنْ كَانَ مُحَرِّمًا مَا حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ فَلْيُحَرِّمْ النَّبِيذَ قَالَ and God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing وَالْمُزَفَّتِ وَعَنْ الْبُسْرِ وَالتَّمْرِ. Has told us [Abu Zaid] has told us [Syu'bah] from [Salamah bin Kuhail], he said; I heard [Abu Al Hakam] say; I asked [Ibnu Abbas] or I heard him being asked about Nabidzul Jarr, Ibn Abbas answered; "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam forbade it from Jarr and Dubba'." Then I asked [Ibnu Az Zubair], he said what [Ibnu Abbas] said. And Ibn Abbas said; "Whoever likes to make forbidden what Allah and His Messenger have forbidden, or whoever makes forbidden what Allah and His Messenger have forbidden, he should forbid soaking in dates and wine." The narrator said; has told me [my brother] from [Abu Sa'id Al Khudri] that Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam has prohibited jarr, dubba' and muzaffat, as well as (soaking) from Busr and tamr. (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 22nd Hadith. God willing يَزِيدَ حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ عَنْ فُضَيْلِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings God bless you فَقَالَ الْخَمْرُ قَالَ قُلْتُ هُوَ فِي الْقُرْآنِ قََ مَا God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing بِالرِّسَالَةِ قَالَ نَهَى عَنْ الدُّبَِ وَالنَّقِيرِ. Has told us [Abu An Nu'man] has told us [Thabit bin Yazid] has told us ['Ashim] from [Fudhail bin Zaid Ar Raqasyi] that he once met [Abdullah bin Mughaffal] and said; "Tell me about the drinks that are forbidden to us!" Abdullah bin Mughaffal answered; "Namely yeast." Fudhail said; I say; "Is that (stated) in the Qur'an?" Abdullah bin Mughaffal answered; "I am not telling you except what I have heard from Muhammad sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam -Abdullah bin Mughaffal (said by) putting the name Muhammad Rasulullah first, or giving priority to the message namely Rasulullah Muhammad- he continued; "He has prohibited vessels from dubba', hantam and naqir." (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 23rd Hadith. God bless you وَاللَّفْظُ لِيَزِيدَ قَالَا أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ يَحْيَى عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنْ may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings تَنْتَبِذُوا الزَّهْوَ وَالرُِ God bless you كُلَّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا عَلَى حِدَتِهِ. It has been reported to us by [Yazid bin Harun] and [Sa'id bin 'Amir] while the editorial of the hadith is from Yazid, both of them said; has informed us [Hisyam] from [Yahya] from [Abdullah bin Abu Qatadah] from [his father] from the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, he said: "Make the marinade from Zahwu (ripe dates) and Ruthab (wet dates) together, and do not make the marinade from Raisins and Tamr (dry dates) together, and make the marinade from one of them separately." (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 24th Hadith. God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing سِمَاكٍ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنْ رَسُولَ اللَّهْ تَقُولُوا الْكَرْمَ وَقُولُوا الْعِنَبَ أَوْ الْحَبَلَةَ. It has been told to us that [Uthman bin Umar] has told us [Syu'bah] from [Limak] from ['Alqamah bin Wail] from [his father] that the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Do not say Al Karam, but say wine or habalah." (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 25th Hadith. God willing God willing مَالِكٍ قَالَ كَانَ فِي حِجْرِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ يَتَامَى God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing ذَلِكَ لَهُ فَقَالَ أَجْعَلُهُ خَلًّا قَالَ لَا فَأَهْرَاقَهُ. Has told us ['Ubaidullah bin Musa] from [Isra`il] from [As Suddi] from [Yahya bin 'Abbad] from [Anas bin Malik] he said; "Abu Talhah had dependent children who were orphans, then he bought khamer for them, when the prohibition on khamer came down, he came to the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam and told him about it, then Abu Talhah said; "Can I make vinegar from it?" He said: "No." After that Abu Talhah poured it out. (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 26th Hadith. Allah's blessings Allah's blessings رَسُولَ اللَّهْ لَبَنًا وَعَنْ يَسَارِهِ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعَنْ يَمِينِهِ رَجُلٌ God bless you God. Has told us [Abu Al Mughirah] has told us [Al Auza'i] has told us [Az Zuhri] from [Anas bin Malik] that he once saw the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam drinking milk, while on his left was Abu Bakr and on his right there was a Bedouin Arab, so he gave the rest to the Bedouin, he said: "(From) the one on the right then the one on the other side right." (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 27th Hadith. God willing God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing أَنْ يُشْرَبَ مِنْ فِي السِّقَاءِ.
