The summit of Prophet Muhammad's ﷺ honor is that he was sent not for one people alone, but as a mercy to all the worlds. Allah said, "And We have not sent you except as a mercy to the worlds" (Qur'an 21:107). That mercy shows in his teaching that raised human dignity, honored the orphan and the weak, established justice, and called to compassion. He is also the seal of the prophets; there is no prophet after him. Allah said, "Muhammad is not the father of [any] one of your men, but [he is] the Messenger of Allah and the seal (last) of the prophets…" (Qur'an 33:40). So his message is the completion and seal of all the messages of the prophets before him — from Adam to Isa. Concerning his person, Allah Himself praised: "And indeed, you are of a great moral character" (Qur'an 68:4). His character was the perfect example for humankind. Prophet Muhammad ﷺ passed away in Madinah after conveying the message completely, leaving two treasures: the Book of Allah and the Sunnah. Reflection: the whole chain of the 25 prophets' stories culminates in him ﷺ — the chain of prophethood begun with Adam was perfected through him. Following his character and holding to his teaching is the way to attain the mercy for which he was sent. Source & Note: evidence from the Qur'an — 21:107 (a mercy to the worlds), 33:40 (the seal of the prophets), and 68:4 (great moral character). The loftiness of his character is also affirmed in authentic hadith (e.g. Ahmad; Aisha (RA) said, "His character was the Qur'an"). With this series, the story of the 25 prophets is complete — the stories of Zakariya, Yahya, and Isa are covered within the Kisah Maryam series.
