Warning about the Day of Doom and the Importance of Obedience

Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala says in Surah Ibrahim verse 44: 'And warn people about the day (at which time) their punishment will come, then the unjust people will say: 'Our Lord, give us respite (return us to the world) even for a short time, surely we will obey Your call and will follow the messengers.' (To them it was said): 'Didn't you swear before (on earth) that you would never perish?' This verse provides a firm warning about the coming day of punishment, where humans will face the consequences of their actions while in the world. On that day, the wrongdoers will ask for a second chance to return to the world, with the promise that they will obey Allah and follow His messengers. However, their request will not be granted, because they have sworn on earth that they will not perish, but they still break and do not fulfill their promise. This verse reminds us of the importance of obeying Allah before it is too late. Don't let us be among those who delay obedience and only regret it when the punishment has come. Let us immediately repent and do good deeds, because the time given to us in this world is a valuable opportunity to prepare ourselves to face the last day. May Allah always give us guidance and strength to always obey Him.
