Nabi Ilyasa'

Successor to the Prophet Ilyas' Da'wah

Ilyasa' AS continued Prophet Ilyas' preaching to the Children of Israel afterwards, inviting them to return to the straight path. The Qur'an mentions his name along with other selected prophets as people belonging to the best group (Surah Shad and Al-An'am), although the detailed history of his preaching journey is not explained in much detail.

Successor of Da'wah Ilyas

Ilyasa' (Alyasa') is mentioned twice in the Qur'an among the prophets who were exalted in rank over the whole world. The commentators called him the disciple and successor of Ilyas among the Children of Israel, continuing the call for monotheism after his teacher.

Including the Chosen People

Allah calls him in the ranks of al-akhyar — the best people: "And remember Ismail, Ilyasa', and Dzulkifli. All of them are among the best people." This brief mention is a heavenly recommendation that does not require a long story.

Ibrah The Story of Prophet Ilyasa'

The regeneration of preaching is the sunnah of the prophets: Ilyas prepared Ilyasa', as Moses prepared Yusya'. The relay of truth must not be interrupted by the death of a preacher.
