Son of Ibrahim, Father of Ya'qub
Ishaq AS is the son of the Prophet Ibrahim from Sarah, born as good news delivered by an angel at his parents' advanced age. He continued his father's preaching of monotheism and became the father of the Prophet Ya'qub, so that the prophetic line of the Israelites continued through him. The Qur'an calls him a pious prophet and blessed with his descendants.
1Good News in the Twilight Age
The angels who were heading to Lut's land stopped by Ibrahim bringing good news: a son named Ishaq, and after Ishaq, a grandson named Ya'qub. Sarah laughed in astonishment โ "How will I give birth, when I am so old and my husband is so old?" The angels answered, "Are you surprised at God's decree?"

2Prophet of the Blessed Lineage
Allah said, "And We gave him good news with Ishaq, a prophet who was one of the pious people. We bestowed blessings on him and on Ishaq." From Ishaq was born Ya'qub (Israil), and from his descendants continued the long lineage of the prophets of the Children of Israel: Yusuf, Musa, David, Sulaiman, up to Jesus.

3The Chosen Servant Who Remembers the Land of the Afterlife
The Qur'an calls Ibrahim, Ishaq, and Jacob as servants who had strength and sharp insight, whom Allah sanctified with high morals: always reminding people of the land of the afterlife. Ishaq continued his father's preaching of monotheism in the land of Syria until his death.

4Ibrah The story of the Prophet Ishaq
Ishaq's birth proves that Allah's grace is not limited by customary law - old age is not an obstacle to His decree. The true blessing of a family is the birth of a generation that continues monotheism, not just a large number of descendants.
