Nabi Luth

Luth was Ibrahim's nephew who believed in him and joined him in the emigration. God sent him to the people of Sadum (Sodom), a people who committed abominations that no one had ever done in this world: going after each other's men, robbing in the streets, and doing evil in their meeting places.

Luth called on them to be devout and abandon abominations, reminding them that he was a trusted apostle and did not ask for wages. The answer of his people was precisely: "Expel Lot's family from your land; indeed they are people who purify themselves." Chastity is considered a crime — that is how values ​​are reversed in a corrupt people.

The angels came in the form of handsome young men. Luth felt tight in his chest because he knew the nature of his people - and indeed, they came rushing. Luth said, "These are my (people's) daughters, they are purer to you," but they refused. When Lot said, "If only I had the strength to reject you," the guests revealed themselves: "We are messengers of your Lord; they will not be able to disturb you." Allah blinded the people's eyes, and Lot was ordered to walk with his family at the end of the night - without looking back - except for his betraying wife.

When dawn came, the land was turned upside down: the upper became the lower, and a shower of stones from the burning earth fell upon them in abundance, each stone bearing the mark of your Lord. The former land is on a road still traveled by humans — a sign for those who are willing to think.

Luth's story is the harshest warning against deviations from nature, as well as a lesson that even the bonds of marriage do not save if the heart betrays religion - Luth's wife perished along with her people. And for preachers: feeling weak does not prevent God's help from coming in time.
