Waki' bin Al-Jarrah
وَكِيع بْنُ الْجَرَّاحِ رَحِمَهُ اللهُ
Teacher Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal (d. 197 H)
Waki' bin Al-Jarrah was one of Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal's most influential hadith teachers, known for his extremely strong memorization power — said to be able to narrate thousands of hadiths without ever writing them down. He was very careful in receiving and narrating hadith, making his line of narration one of the most trusted among subsequent generations of hadith experts.
