Narrated Abu Huraira:Dates used to be brought to Allah's Messenger (๏ทบ) immediately after being plucked. Different persons would bring their dates till a big heap collected (in front of the Prophet). Once Al-Hasan and Al-Husain were playing with these dates. One of them took a date and put it in his mouth. Allah's Messenger (๏ทบ) looked at him and took it out from his mouth and said, "Don't you know that Muhammad's offspring do not eat what is given in charity? (Grade: shahih. Hadith 2. ุญูŽุฏู‘ูŽุซูŽู†ูŽุง ุญูŽุฌู‘ูŽุงุฌูŒุŒ ุญูŽุฏู‘ูŽุซูŽู†ูŽุง ุดูุนู’ุจูŽุฉูุŒ ุฃูŽุฎู’ุจูŽุฑูŽู†ููŠ ุนูŽุจู’ุฏู ุงู„ู„ู‘ูŽู‡ู ุจู’ู†ู ุฏููŠู†ูŽุงุฑูุŒ ุณูŽู…ูุนู’ุชู ุงุจู’ู†ูŽ ุนูู…ูŽุฑูŽ ู€ ุฑุถู‰ ุงู„ู„ู‡ ุนู†ู‡ู…ุง ู€ ู†ูŽู‡ูŽู‰ ุงู„ู†ู‘ูŽุจููŠู‘ู ุตู„ู‰ ุงู„ู„ู‡ ุนู„ูŠู‡ ูˆุณู„ู… ุนูŽู†ู’ ุจูŽูŠู’ุนู ุงู„ุซู‘ูŽู…ูŽุฑูŽุฉู ุญูŽุชู‘ูŽู‰ ูŠูŽุจู’ุฏููˆูŽ ุตูŽู„ุงูŽุญูู‡ูŽุงโ€.โ€ ูˆูŽูƒูŽุงู†ูŽ ุฅูุฐูŽุง ุณูุฆูู„ูŽ ุนูŽู†ู’ ุตูŽู„ุงูŽุญูู‡ูŽุง ู‚ูŽุงู„ูŽ ุญูŽุชู‘ูŽู‰ ุชูŽุฐู’ู‡ูŽุจูŽ ุนูŽุงู‡ูŽุชูู‡ูโ€.โ€. Narrated Ibn `Umar:The Prophet (๏ทบ) had forbidden the sale of dates till they were good (ripe), and when it was asked what it meant, the Prophet (๏ทบ) said, "Till there is no danger of blight (Grade: shahih. Source: Sahih al-Bukhari no. 1486.) Hadith 3. ุญูŽุฏู‘ูŽุซูŽู†ูŽุง ุนูŽุจู’ุฏู ุงู„ู„ู‘ูŽู‡ู ุจู’ู†ู ูŠููˆุณูููŽุŒ ุญูŽุฏู‘ูŽุซูŽู†ููŠ ุงู„ู„ู‘ูŽูŠู’ุซูุŒ ุญูŽุฏู‘ูŽุซูŽู†ููŠ ุฎูŽุงู„ูุฏู ุจู’ู†ู ูŠูŽุฒููŠุฏูŽุŒ ุนูŽู†ู’ ุนูŽุทูŽุงุกู ุจู’ู†ู ุฃูŽุจููŠ ุฑูŽุจูŽุงุญูุŒ ุนูŽู†ู’ ุฌูŽุงุจูุฑู ุจู’ู†ู ุนูŽุจู’ุฏู ุงู„ู„ู‘ูŽู‡ู ู€ ุฑุถู‰ ุงู„ู„ู‡ ุนู†ู‡ู…ุง ู€โ€.โ€ ู†ูŽู‡ูŽู‰ ุงู„ู†ู‘ูŽุจููŠู‘ู ุตู„ู‰ ุงู„ู„ู‡ ุนู„ูŠู‡ ูˆุณู„ู… ุนูŽู†ู’ ุจูŽูŠู’ุนู ุงู„ุซู‘ูู…ูŽุงุฑู ุญูŽุชู‘ูŽู‰ ูŠูŽุจู’ุฏููˆูŽ ุตูŽู„ุงูŽุญูู‡ูŽุงโ€.โ€. Narrated Jabir bin `Abdullah:The Prophet (๏ทบ) had forbidden the sale of fruits till they were ripe (free from blight) (Grade: shahih. Source: Sahih al-Bukhari no. 1487.) Hadith 4. ุญูŽุฏู‘ูŽุซูŽู†ูŽุง ู‚ูุชูŽูŠู’ุจูŽุฉูุŒ ุนูŽู†ู’ ู…ูŽุงู„ููƒูุŒ ุนูŽู†ู’ ุญูู…ูŽูŠู’ุฏูุŒ ุนูŽู†ู’ ุฃูŽู†ูŽุณู ุจู’ู†ู ู…ูŽุงู„ููƒู ู€ ุฑุถู‰ ุงู„ู„ู‡ ุนู†ู‡ ู€ ุฃูŽู†ู‘ูŽ ุฑูŽุณููˆู„ูŽ ุงู„ู„ู‘ูŽู‡ู ุตู„ู‰ ุงู„ู„ู‡ ุนู„ูŠู‡ ูˆุณู„ู… ู†ูŽู‡ูŽู‰ ุนูŽู†ู’ ุจูŽูŠู’ุนู ุงู„ุซู‘ูู…ูŽุงุฑู ุญูŽุชู‘ูŽู‰ ุชูุฒู’ู‡ููŠูŽุŒ ู‚ูŽุงู„ูŽ ุญูŽุชู‘ูŽู‰ ุชูŽุญู’ู…ูŽุงุฑู‘ูŽโ€.โ€. Narrated Anas bin Malik:Allah's Messenger (๏ทบ) forbade the selling of fruits until they were ripe. The Prophet (๏ทบ) added, "It means that they become red (Grade: shahih. Hadith 5. ุญูŽุฏู‘ูŽุซูŽู†ูŽุง ูŠูŽุญู’ูŠูŽู‰ ุจู’ู†ู ุจููƒูŽูŠู’ุฑูุŒ ุญูŽุฏู‘ูŽุซูŽู†ูŽุง ุงู„ู„ู‘ูŽูŠู’ุซูุŒ ุนูŽู†ู’ ุนูู‚ูŽูŠู’ู„ูุŒ ุนูŽู†ู ุงุจู’ู†ู ุดูู‡ูŽุงุจูุŒ ุนูŽู†ู’ ุณูŽุงู„ูู…ูุŒ ุฃูŽู†ู‘ูŽ ุนูŽุจู’ุฏูŽ ุงู„ู„ู‘ูŽู‡ู ุจู’ู†ูŽ ุนูู…ูŽุฑูŽ ู€ ุฑุถู‰ ุงู„ู„ู‡ ุนู†ู‡ู…ุง ู€ ูƒูŽุงู†ูŽ ูŠูุญูŽุฏู‘ูุซู ุฃูŽู†ู‘ูŽ ุนูู…ูŽุฑูŽ ุจู’ู†ูŽ ุงู„ู’ุฎูŽุทู‘ูŽุงุจู ุชูŽุตูŽุฏู‘ูŽู‚ูŽ ุจูููŽุฑูŽุณู ูููŠ ุณูŽุจููŠู„ู ุงู„ู„ู‘ูŽู‡ู ููŽูˆูŽุฌูŽุฏูŽู‡ู ูŠูุจูŽุงุนูุŒ ููŽุฃูŽุฑูŽุงุฏูŽ ุฃูŽู†ู’ ูŠูŽุดู’ุชูŽุฑููŠูŽู‡ูุŒ ุซูู…ู‘ูŽ ุฃูŽุชูŽู‰ ุงู„ู†ู‘ูŽุจููŠู‘ูŽ ุตู„ู‰ ุงู„ู„ู‡ ุนู„ูŠู‡ ูˆุณู„ู… ููŽุงุณู’ุชูŽุฃู’ู…ูŽุฑูŽู‡ู ููŽู‚ูŽุงู„ูŽ โ€ "โ€ ู„ุงูŽ ุชูŽุนูุฏู’ ูููŠ ุตูŽุฏูŽู‚ูŽุชููƒูŽ โ€"โ€ ููŽุจูุฐูŽู„ููƒูŽ ูƒูŽุงู†ูŽ ุงุจู’ู†ู ุนูู…ูŽุฑูŽ ู€ ุฑุถู‰ ุงู„ู„ู‡ ุนู†ู‡ู…ุง ู€ ู„ุงูŽ ูŠูŽุชู’ุฑููƒู ุฃูŽู†ู’ ูŠูŽุจู’ุชูŽุงุนูŽ ุดูŽูŠู’ุฆู‹ุง ุชูŽุตูŽุฏู‘ูŽู‚ูŽ ุจูู‡ู ุฅูู„ุงู‘ูŽ ุฌูŽุนูŽู„ูŽู‡ู ุตูŽุฏูŽู‚ูŽุฉู‹โ€.โ€. Narrated `Abdullah bin `Umar:`Umar bin Al-Khattab gave a horse in charity in Allah's Cause and later he saw it being sold in the market and intended to purchase it. Then he went to the Prophet (๏ทบ) and asked his permission. The Prophet said, "Do not take back what you have given in charity." For this reason, Ibn `Umar never purchased the things which he had given in charity, and in case he had purchased something (unknowingly) he would give it in charity again (Grade: shahih. Source: Sahih al-Bukhari no. 1489.) Hadith 6. ุญูŽุฏู‘ูŽุซูŽู†ูŽุง ุนูŽุจู’ุฏู ุงู„ู„ู‘ูŽู‡ู ุจู’ู†ู ูŠููˆุณูููŽุŒ ุฃูŽุฎู’ุจูŽุฑูŽู†ูŽุง ู…ูŽุงู„ููƒู ุจู’ู†ู ุฃูŽู†ูŽุณูุŒ ุนูŽู†ู’ ุฒูŽูŠู’ุฏู ุจู’ู†ู ุฃูŽุณู’ู„ูŽู…ูŽุŒ ุนูŽู†ู’ ุฃูŽุจููŠู‡ูุŒ ู‚ูŽุงู„ูŽ ุณูŽู…ูุนู’ุชู ุนูู…ูŽุฑูŽ ู€ ุฑุถู‰ ุงู„ู„ู‡ ุนู†ู‡ ู€ ูŠูŽู‚ููˆู„ู ุญูŽู…ูŽู„ู’ุชู ุนูŽู„ูŽู‰ ููŽุฑูŽุณู ูููŠ ุณูŽุจููŠู„ู ุงู„ู„ู‘ูŽู‡ูุŒ ููŽุฃูŽุถูŽุงุนูŽู‡ู ุงู„ู‘ูŽุฐููŠ ูƒูŽุงู†ูŽ ุนูู†ู’ุฏูŽู‡ูุŒ ููŽุฃูŽุฑูŽุฏู’ุชู ุฃูŽู†ู’ ุฃูŽุดู’ุชูŽุฑููŠูŽู‡ูุŒ ูˆูŽุธูŽู†ูŽู†ู’ุชู ุฃูŽู†ู‘ูŽู‡ู ูŠูŽุจููŠุนูู‡ู ุจูุฑูุฎู’ุตูุŒ ููŽุณูŽุฃูŽู„ู’ุชู ุงู„ู†ู‘ูŽุจููŠู‘ูŽ ุตู„ู‰ ุงู„ู„ู‡ ุนู„ูŠู‡ ูˆุณู„ู… ููŽู‚ูŽุงู„ูŽ โ€ "โ€ ู„ุงูŽ ุชูŽุดู’ุชูŽุฑู ูˆูŽู„ุงูŽ ุชูŽุนูุฏู’ ูููŠ ุตูŽุฏูŽู‚ูŽุชููƒูŽุŒ ูˆูŽุฅูู†ู’ ุฃูŽุนู’ุทูŽุงูƒูŽู‡ู ุจูุฏูุฑู’ู‡ูŽู…ูุŒ ููŽุฅูู†ู‘ูŽ ุงู„ู’ุนูŽุงุฆูุฏูŽ ูููŠ ุตูŽุฏูŽู‚ูŽุชูู‡ู ูƒูŽุงู„ู’ุนูŽุงุฆูุฏู ูููŠ ู‚ูŽูŠู’ุฆูู‡ู โ€"โ€โ€.โ€. Narrated `Umar:Once I gave a horse in Allah's Cause (in charity) but that person did not take care of it. I intended to buy it, as I thought he would sell it at a low price. So, I asked the Prophet (๏ทบ) about it. He said, "Neither buy, nor take back your alms which you have given, even if the seller were willing to sell it for one Dirham, for he who takes back his alms is like the one who swallows his own vomit (Grade: shahih. Source: Sahih al-Bukhari no. 1490.) Hadith 7. ุญูŽุฏู‘ูŽุซูŽู†ูŽุง ุขุฏูŽู…ูุŒ ุญูŽุฏู‘ูŽุซูŽู†ูŽุง ุดูุนู’ุจูŽุฉูุŒ ุญูŽุฏู‘ูŽุซูŽู†ูŽุง ู…ูุญูŽู…ู‘ูŽุฏู ุจู’ู†ู ุฒููŠูŽุงุฏูุŒ ู‚ูŽุงู„ูŽ ุณูŽู…ูุนู’ุชู ุฃูŽุจูŽุง ู‡ูุฑูŽูŠู’ุฑูŽุฉูŽ ู€ ุฑุถู‰ ุงู„ู„ู‡ ุนู†ู‡ ู€ ู‚ูŽุงู„ูŽ ุฃูŽุฎูŽุฐูŽ ุงู„ู’ุญูŽุณูŽู†ู ุจู’ู†ู ุนูŽู„ููŠู‘ู ู€ ุฑุถู‰ ุงู„ู„ู‡ ุนู†ู‡ู…ุง ู€ ุชูŽู…ู’ุฑูŽุฉู‹ ู…ูู†ู’ ุชูŽู…ู’ุฑู ุงู„ุตู‘ูŽุฏูŽู‚ูŽุฉูุŒ ููŽุฌูŽุนูŽู„ูŽู‡ูŽุง ูููŠ ูููŠู‡ูุŒ ููŽู‚ูŽุงู„ูŽ ุงู„ู†ู‘ูŽุจููŠู‘ู ุตู„ู‰ ุงู„ู„ู‡ ุนู„ูŠู‡ ูˆุณู„ู… โ€ "โ€ ูƒูุฎู ูƒูุฎู ู€ ู„ููŠูŽุทู’ุฑูŽุญูŽู‡ูŽุง ุซูู…ู‘ูŽ ู‚ูŽุงู„ูŽ ู€ ุฃูŽู…ูŽุง ุดูŽุนูŽุฑู’ุชูŽ ุฃูŽู†ู‘ูŽุง ู„ุงูŽ ู†ูŽุฃู’ูƒูู„ู ุงู„ุตู‘ูŽุฏูŽู‚ูŽุฉูŽ โ€"โ€โ€.โ€. Narrated Abu Huraira:Al-Hasan bin `Ali took a date from the dates given in charity and put it in his mouth. The Prophet (๏ทบ) said, "Expel it from your mouth. Don't you know that we do not eat a thing which is given in charity? (Grade: shahih. Source: Sahih al-Bukhari no. 1491.) Hadith 8. ุญูŽุฏู‘ูŽุซูŽู†ูŽุง ุณูŽุนููŠุฏู ุจู’ู†ู ุนูููŽูŠู’ุฑูุŒ ุญูŽุฏู‘ูŽุซูŽู†ูŽุง ุงุจู’ู†ู ูˆูŽู‡ู’ุจูุŒ ุนูŽู†ู’ ูŠููˆู†ูุณูŽุŒ ุนูŽู†ู ุงุจู’ู†ู ุดูู‡ูŽุงุจูุŒ ุญูŽุฏู‘ูŽุซูŽู†ููŠ ุนูุจูŽูŠู’ุฏู ุงู„ู„ู‘ูŽู‡ู ุจู’ู†ู ุนูŽุจู’ุฏู ุงู„ู„ู‘ูŽู‡ูุŒ ุนูŽู†ู ุงุจู’ู†ู ุนูŽุจู‘ูุงุณู ู€ ุฑุถู‰ ุงู„ู„ู‡ ุนู†ู‡ู…ุง ู€ ู‚ูŽุงู„ูŽ ูˆูŽุฌูŽุฏูŽ ุงู„ู†ู‘ูŽุจููŠู‘ู ุตู„ู‰ ุงู„ู„ู‡ ุนู„ูŠู‡ ูˆุณู„ู… ุดูŽุงุฉู‹ ู…ูŽูŠู‘ูุชูŽุฉู‹ ุฃูุนู’ุทููŠูŽุชู’ู‡ูŽุง ู…ูŽูˆู’ู„ุงูŽุฉูŒ ู„ูู…ูŽูŠู’ู…ููˆู†ูŽุฉูŽ ู…ูู†ูŽ ุงู„ุตู‘ูŽุฏูŽู‚ูŽุฉูุŒ ู‚ูŽุงู„ูŽ ุงู„ู†ู‘ูŽุจููŠู‘ู ุตู„ู‰ ุงู„ู„ู‡ ุนู„ูŠู‡ ูˆุณู„ู… โ€"โ€ ู‡ูŽู„ุงู‘ูŽ ุงู†ู’ุชูŽููŽุนู’ุชูู…ู’ ุจูุฌูู„ู’ุฏูู‡ูŽุง โ€"โ€โ€.โ€ ู‚ูŽุงู„ููˆุง ุฅูู†ู‘ูŽู‡ูŽุง ู…ูŽูŠู’ุชูŽุฉูŒโ€.โ€ ู‚ูŽุงู„ูŽ โ€"โ€ ุฅูู†ู‘ูŽู…ูŽุง ุญูŽุฑูู…ูŽ ุฃูŽูƒู’ู„ูู‡ูŽุง โ€"โ€โ€.โ€. Narrated Ibn `Abbas:The Prophet (๏ทบ) saw a dead sheep which had been given in charity to a freed slave-girl of Maimuna, the wife of the Prophet (๏ทบ) . The Prophet (๏ทบ) said, "Why don't you get the benefit of its hide?" They said, "It is dead." He replied, "Only to eat (its meat) is illegal (Grade: shahih. Source: Sahih al-Bukhari no. 1492.) Narrated Al-Aswad:`Aisha intended to buy Barira (a slave-girl) in order to manumit her and her masters intended to put the condition that her Al-wala would be for them. `Aisha mentioned that to the Prophet (๏ทบ) who said to her, "Buy her, as the "Wala" is for the manumitted." Once some meat was presented to the Prophet (๏ทบ) and `Aisha said to him, "This (meat) was given in charity to Barira." He said, "It is an object of charity for Barira but a gift for us (Grade: shahih. Source: Sahih al-Bukhari no. 1493.) Narrated Um 'Atiyya Al-Ansariya:The Prophet (๏ทบ) went to `Aisha and asked her whether she had something (to eat). She replied that she had nothing except the mutton (piece) which Nusaiba (Um 'Atiyya) had sent to us (Barira) in charity." The Prophet (๏ทบ) said, "It has reached its place and now it is not a thing of charity but a gift for us (Grade: shahih. Source: Sahih al-Bukhari no. 1494.) Narrated Anas:Some meat was presented to the Prophet (๏ทบ) and it had been given to Barira (the freed slave-girl of Aisha) in charity. Narrated Abu Ma`bad:(the slave of Ibn `Abbas) Allah's Messenger (๏ทบ) said to Mu`adh when he sent him to Yemen, "You will go to the people of the Scripture. So, when you reach there, invite them to testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah, and that Muhammad is His Apostle. And if they obey you in that, tell them that Allah has enjoined on them five prayers in each day and night. And if they obey you in that tell them that Allah has made it obligatory on them to pay the Zakat which will be taken from the rich among them and given to the poor among them. If they obey you in that, then avoid taking the best of their possessions, and be afraid of the curse of an oppressed person because there is no screen between his invocation and Allah (Grade: shahih. Narrated 'Abdullah bin Abu Aufa : Whenever a person came to the Prophet (๏ทบ) with his alms, the Prophet (๏ทบ) would say, "O Allah! Send your Blessings upon so and so." My father went to the Prophet (๏ทบ) with his alms and the Prophet (๏ทบ) said, "O Allah! Send your blessings upon the offspring of Abu Aufa (Grade: shahih. Source: Sahih al-Bukhari no. 1497.) Narrated Abu Humaid Al-Sa`idi:Allah's Messenger (๏ทบ) appointed a man called Ibn Al-Lutbiya, from the tribe of Al-Asd to collect Zakat from Bani Sulaim. When he returned, (after collecting the Zakat) the Prophet (๏ทบ) checked the account with him (Grade: shahih. Source: Sahih al-Bukhari no. 1500.) Narrated Anas:Some people from `Uraina tribe came to Medina and its climate did not suit them, so Allah's Messenger (๏ทบ) allowed them to go to the herd of camels (given as Zakat) and they drank their milk and urine (as medicine) but they killed the shepherd and drove away all the camels. So Allah's Messenger (๏ทบ) sent (men) in their pursuit to catch them, and they were brought, and he had their hands and feet cut, and their eyes were branded with heated pieces of iron and they were left in the Harra (a stony place at Medina) biting the stones. Narrated Anas bin Malik:I took `Abdullah bin Abu Talha to Allah's Messenger (๏ทบ) to perform Tahnik for him. (Tahnik was a custom among the Muslims that whenever a child was born they used to take it to the Prophet (๏ทบ) who would chew a piece of date and put a part of its juice in the child's mouth). Narrated Ibn `Umar:Allah's Messenger (๏ทบ) enjoined the payment of one Sa' of dates or one Sa' of barley as Zakat-ul-Fitr on every Muslim slave or free, male or female, young or old, and he ordered that it be paid before the people went out to offer the `Id prayer. Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri:In the lifetime of the Prophet (๏ทบ) we used to give one Sa' of food or one Sa' of dates or one Sa' of barley or one Sa' of Raisins (dried grapes) as Sadaqat-ul-Fitr. And when Muawiya became the Caliph and the wheat was (available in abundance) he said, "I think (observe) that one Mudd (of wheat) equals two Mudds (of any of the above mentioned things) (Grade: shahih. Narrated Nafi`:Ibn `Umar said, "The Prophet (๏ทบ) made incumbent on every male or female, free man or slave, the payment of one Sa' of dates or barley as Sadaqat-ul-Fitr (or said Sadaqa-Ramadan)." The people then substituted half Sa' of wheat for that. Ibn `Umar used to give dates (as Sadaqat-ul-Fitr). Once there was scarcity of dates in Medina and Ibn `Umar gave barley. 'And Ibn `Umar used to give Sadaqat-ul- Fitr for every young and old person. He even used to give on behalf of my children. Ibn `Umar used to give Sadaqat-ul-Fitr to those who had been officially appointed for its collection. People used to give Sadaqat-ul-Fitr (even) a day or two before the `Id (Grade: shahih. Narrated `Abdullah bin `Abbas:Al-Fadl (his brother) was riding behind Allah's Messenger (๏ทบ) and a woman from the tribe of Khath'am came and Al-Fadl started looking at her and she started looking at him. The Prophet (๏ทบ) turned Al-Fadl's face to the other side. The woman said, "O Allah's Messenger (๏ทบ)! The obligation of Hajj enjoined by Allah on His devotees has become due on my father and he is old and weak, and he cannot sit firm on the Mount; may I perform Hajj on his behalf?" Narrated Thumama bin `Abdullah bin Anas:Anas performed the Hajj on a packsaddle and he was not a miser. Narrated Al-Qasim bin Muhammad:`Aisha said, "O Allah's Messenger (๏ทบ)! You performed `Umra but I did not." He said, "O `Abdur-Rahman! Go along with your sister and let her perform `Umra from Tan`im." `Abdur-Rahman made her ride over the packsaddle of a she-camel and she performed `Umra (Grade: shahih.
