Welcome to the study of authentic hadith selected by ULYAH. Let's look at some of the following sayings of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam, one by one, with an open heart to put them into practice. 1st Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ، كَانَ إِذَا اغْتَسَلَ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ بَدَأَ فَأَفْرَغَ عَلَى يَدِهِ الْيُمْنَى فَغَسَلَهَا ثُمَّ غَسَلَ فَرْجَهُ ثُمَّ مَضْمَضَ وَاسْتَنْثَرَ ثُمَّ غَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ وَنَضَحَ فِي عَيْنَيْهِ ثُمَّ غَسَلَ يَدَهُ الْيُمْنَى ثُمَّ الْيُسْرَى ثُمَّ غَسَلَ رَأْسَهُ ثُمَّ اغْتَسَلَ وَأَفَاضَ عَلَيْهِ الْمَاءَ ‏.‏. It has been told to me from Malik from [Nafi'] that [Abdullah bin Umar] when bathing from junub, begins by pouring water over his right hand. He washed it, then washed his cock. He rinsed his mouth and then inhaled and spat out the water he put into his nose. Washed his face and sprinkled water on his eyes, washed his right hand then his left, then he washed his head. He bathed and spread the water all over his body (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 100.) 2nd hadith. حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ، وَعُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ، وَعَائِشَةَ، زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانُوا يَقُولُونَ إِذَا مَسَّ الْخِتَانُ الْخِتَانَ فَقَدْ وَجَبَ الْغُسْلُ ‏.‏. Yahya has told me from Malik from [Ibn Shihab] from [Sa'id bin Musayyab] that [Umar bin Khaththab], [Uthman bin Affan] and [Aisyah] the wife of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said; "If two circumcisions touch each other then it is obligatory to bathe (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 102.) 3rd Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَبِي النَّضْرِ، مَوْلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم مَا يُوجِبُ الْغُسْلَ فَقَالَتْ هَلْ تَدْرِي مَا مَثَلُكَ يَا أَبَا سَلَمَةَ مَثَلُ الْفَرُّوجِ يَسْمَعُ الدِّيَكَةَ تَصْرُخُ فَيَصْرُخُ مَعَهَا إِذَا جَاوَزَ الْخِتَانُ الْخِتَانَ فَقَدْ وَجَبَ الْغُسْلُ ‏.‏. Has told me from Malik from [Abu Nadlr] a former slave of Umar bin Ubaidullah, from [Abu Salamah bin Abdurrahman bin Auf] he said; I asked [Aisyah] the wife of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam about what makes bathing obligatory, so she answered; "O Abu Salamah, do you know your example? that is, like a rooster who hears a hen crowing and then he crows too. If the penis has penetrated the genitals, then he must bathe (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 103.) 4th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، أَنَّ أَبَا مُوسَى الأَشْعَرِيَّ، أَتَى عَائِشَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ لَهَا لَقَدْ شَقَّ عَلَىَّ اخْتِلاَفُ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي أَمْرٍ إِنِّي لأُعْظِمُ أَنْ أَسْتَقْبِلَكِ بِهِ ‏.‏ فَقَالَتْ مَا هُوَ مَا كُنْتَ سَائِلاً عَنْهُ أُمَّكَ فَسَلْنِي عَنْهُ ‏.‏ فَقَالَ الرَّجُلُ يُصِيبُ أَهْلَهُ ثُمَّ يُكْسِلُ وَلاَ يُنْزِلُ فَقَالَتْ إِذَا جَاوَزَ الْخِتَانُ الْخِتَانَ فَقَدْ وَجَبَ الْغُسْلُ ‏.‏ فَقَالَ أَبُو مُوسَى الأَشْعَرِيُّ لاَ أَسْأَلُ عَنْ هَذَا أَحَدًا بَعْدَكِ أَبَدًا ‏.‏. It has been told to me from Malik from [Yahya bin Sa'id] from [Sa'id bin Musayyab], that Abu Musa Al Asy'ari came to Aisha, the wife of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam and said to her; "It has really made it difficult for me to have differences between my friends regarding a problem. If it weren't for that, I would find it difficult to ask you for a fatwa," then Aisyah asked; "What is that? Whatever you want to ask your mother, then ask." Then (Abu Musa) said; "A man came to his wife, then he pulled out his penis and did not produce semen." [Aisyah] answered; "If the genitals have penetrated the genitals, then bathing is mandatory." Abu Musa Al Asy'ari said; "Then, I will not ask anyone again (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 104.) 5th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ كَعْبٍ، مَوْلَى عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ أَنَّ مَحْمُودَ بْنَ لَبِيدٍ الأَنْصَارِيَّ، سَأَلَ زَيْدَ بْنَ ثَابِتٍ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ، يُصِيبُ أَهْلَهُ ثُمَّ يُكْسِلُ وَلاَ يُنْزِلُ فَقَالَ زَيْدٌ يَغْتَسِلُ ‏.‏ فَقَالَ لَهُ مَحْمُودٌ إِنَّ أُبَىَّ بْنَ كَعْبٍ كَانَ لاَ يَرَى الْغُسْلَ ‏.‏ فَقَالَ لَهُ زَيْدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ إِنَّ أُبَىَّ بْنَ كَعْبٍ نَزَعَ عَنْ ذَلِكَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَمُوتَ ‏.‏. It has been told to me from Malik from [Yahya bin Sa'id] from [Abdullah bin Ka'ab] Usman bin Affan's former slave, that Mahmud bin Labid Al Ansari asked [Zaid bin Thabit] about a man who came to his wife and then he pulled out his genitals without releasing semen, so Zaid answered; "He needs to shower." then Mahmud said; "Indeed [Ubai bin Ka'ab] does not think so," Zaid bin Thabit argued; "Ubai bin Ka'ab clarified his opinion before he died (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 105.) 6th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ، كَانَ يَقُولُ إِذَا جَاوَزَ الْخِتَانُ الْخِتَانَ فَقَدْ وَجَبَ الْغُسْلُ ‏.‏. It has been told to me from Malik from [Nafi'] that [Abdullah bin Umar] said; "If the penis has penetrated the genitals then it is obligatory to bathe (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 106.) 7th Hadith. حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ ذَكَرَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّهُ يُصِيبُهُ جَنَابَةٌ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ "‏ تَوَضَّأْ وَاغْسِلْ ذَكَرَكَ ثُمَّ نَمْ ‏"‏ ‏.‏. Has told me from Malik from [Abdullah bin Dinar] from [Abdullah bin Umar] said; Umar bin Khatthab once complained to Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, that he was in junub one night, then he said: "Make ablution and wash your genitals then go to sleep (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 107.) 8th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ تَقُولُ إِذَا أَصَابَ أَحَدُكُمُ الْمَرْأَةَ ثُمَّ أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنَامَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَغْتَسِلَ فَلاَ يَنَمْ حَتَّى يَتَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلاَةِ ‏.‏. It has been told to me from Malik from [Hisyam bin Urwah] from [his father] from [Aisyah] - the wife of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam- said; "If you have sex with your wife, then want to sleep before bathing, then do not sleep until you have performed ablution as in ablution for prayer (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 108.) 9th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ، كَانَ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنَامَ، أَوْ يَطْعَمَ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ غَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ وَيَدَيْهِ إِلَى الْمِرْفَقَيْنِ وَمَسَحَ بِرَأْسِهِ ثُمَّ طَعِمَ أَوْ نَامَ ‏.‏. It has been told to me from Malik from [Nafi'] that when [Abdullah bin Umar] wants to sleep or eat, while he is junub, he washes his face and hands up to his elbows. Rubbing his head then eating or sleeping (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 109.) 10th Hadith. حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي حَكِيمٍ، أَنَّ عَطَاءَ بْنَ يَسَارٍ، أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَبَّرَ فِي صَلاَةٍ مِنَ الصَّلَوَاتِ ثُمَّ أَشَارَ إِلَيْهِمْ بِيَدِهِ أَنِ امْكُثُوا فَذَهَبَ ثُمَّ رَجَعَ وَعَلَى جِلْدِهِ أَثَرُ الْمَاءِ ‏.‏. Has told me Yahya from Malik from [Isma'il bin Abu Hakim], that ['Atho` bin Yasar] informed him; Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said takbir in prayer, then he beckoned to the people with his hands: "Stay where you are! " then he left and then came back again, while water marks appeared on his skin (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 110.) 11th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ زُيَيْدِ بْنِ الصَّلْتِ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ خَرَجْتُ مَعَ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ إِلَى الْجُرُفِ فَنَظَرَ فَإِذَا هُوَ قَدِ احْتَلَمَ وَصَلَّى وَلَمْ يَغْتَسِلْ فَقَالَ وَاللَّهِ مَا أَرَانِي إِلاَّ احْتَلَمْتُ وَمَا شَعَرْتُ وَصَلَّيْتُ وَمَا اغْتَسَلْتُ قَالَ فَاغْتَسَلَ وَغَسَلَ مَا رَأَى فِي ثَوْبِهِ وَنَضَحَ مَا لَمْ يَرَ وَأَذَّنَ أَوْ أَقَامَ ثُمَّ صَلَّى بَعْدَ ارْتِفَاعِ الضُّحَى مُتَمَكِّنًا ‏.‏. Having told me from Malik from [Hisyam bin Urwah] from [his father] from [Zubaid bin As Shalt] he said, "I went with [Umar bin Katthab] to Jurf." Suddenly he realized that he had had a wet dream and was praying without bathing. He then said, "By Allah, I didn't know that I had a wet dream, but I wasn't conscious, so I prayed and didn't take a shower." The narrator said, "Then he bathed and washed what was visible on his clothes and sprinkled what was not visible. After that, he calls to prayer or iqamat, then prays during the first time (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 111.) 12th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي حَكِيمٍ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ، غَدَا إِلَى أَرْضِهِ بِالْجُرُفِ فَوَجَدَ فِي ثَوْبِهِ احْتِلاَمًا فَقَالَ لَقَدِ ابْتُلِيتُ بِالاِحْتِلاَمِ مُنْذُ وُلِّيتُ أَمْرَ النَّاسِ ‏.‏ فَاغْتَسَلَ وَغَسَلَ مَا رَأَى فِي ثَوْبِهِ مِنَ الاِحْتِلاَمِ ثُمَّ صَلَّى بَعْدَ أَنْ طَلَعَتِ الشَّمْسُ ‏.‏. It has been told to me from Malik from [Isma'il bin Abu Hakim] from [Sulaiman bin Yasar] that [Umar bin Khatthab] went to his field in the Juruf area in the morning. Then he found wet dream marks on his clothes, so he said, "I have been tested with wet dreams, since I assumed leadership." Then he took a shower and washed the wet dream marks on his clothes that were visible, then prayed after sunrise (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 112.) 13th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ، صَلَّى بِالنَّاسِ الصُّبْحَ ثُمَّ غَدَا إِلَى أَرْضِهِ بِالْجُرُفِ فَوَجَدَ فِي ثَوْبِهِ احْتِلاَمًا فَقَالَ إِنَّا لَمَّا أَصَبْنَا الْوَدَكَ لاَنَتِ الْعُرُوقُ ‏.‏ فَاغْتَسَلَ وَغَسَلَ الاِحْتِلاَمَ مِنْ ثَوْبِهِ وَعَادَ لِصَلاَتِهِ ‏.‏. It has been told to me from Malik from [Yahya bin Sa'id] from [Sulaiman bin Yasar] that [Umar bin Khatthab] once prayed the morning prayer with his friends, then in the morning before noon he went to his field in the Juruf area, then he found wet dream marks on his clothes. So he said; "When we have a lot of fat, we sweat easily." Umar then took a shower and washed the wet dream marks on his clothes, after that he repeated his prayer (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 113.) 14th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ حَاطِبٍ، أَنَّهُ اعْتَمَرَ مَعَ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ فِي رَكْبٍ فِيهِمْ عَمْرُو بْنُ الْعَاصِ وَأَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ عَرَّسَ بِبَعْضِ الطَّرِيقِ قَرِيبًا مِنْ بَعْضِ الْمِيَاهِ فَاحْتَلَمَ عُمَرُ وَقَدْ كَادَ أَنْ يُصْبِحَ فَلَمْ يَجِدْ مَعَ الرَّكْبِ مَاءً فَرَكِبَ حَتَّى جَاءَ الْمَاءَ فَجَعَلَ يَغْسِلُ مَا رَأَى مِنْ ذَلِكَ الاِحْتِلاَمِ حَتَّى أَسْفَرَ فَقَالَ لَهُ عَمْرُو بْنُ الْعَاصِ أَصْبَحْتَ وَمَعَنَا ثِيَابٌ فَدَعْ ثَوْبَكَ يُغْسَلُ ‏.‏ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ وَاعَجَبًا لَكَ يَا عَمْرُو بْنَ الْعَاصِ لَئِنْ كُنْتَ تَجِدُ ثِيَابًا أَفَكُلُّ النَّاسِ يَجِدُ ثِيَابًا وَاللَّهِ لَوْ فَعَلْتُهَا لَكَانَتْ سُنَّةً بَلْ أَغْسِلُ مَا رَأَيْتُ وَأَنْضِحُ مَا لَمْ أَرَ ‏.‏ قَالَ مَالِكٌ فِي رَجُلٍ وَجَدَ فِي ثَوْبِهِ أَثَرَ احْتِلاَمٍ وَلاَ يَدْرِي مَتَى كَانَ وَلاَ يَذْكُرُ شَيْئًا رَأَى فِي مَنَامِهِ قَالَ لِيَغْتَسِلْ مِنْ أَحْدَثِ نَوْمٍ نَامَهُ فَإِنْ كَانَ صَلَّى بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ النَّوْمِ فَلْيُعِدْ مَا كَانَ صَلَّى بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ النَّوْمِ مِنْ أَجْلِ أَنَّ الرَّجُلَ رُبَّمَا احْتَلَمَ وَلاَ يَرَى شَيْئًا وَيَرَى وَلاَ يَحْتَلِمُ فَإِذَا وَجَدَ فِي ثَوْبِهِ مَاءً فَعَلَيْهِ الْغُسْلُ وَذَلِكَ أَنَّ عُمَرَ أَعَادَ مَا كَانَ صَلَّى لآخِرِ نَوْمٍ نَامَهُ وَلَمْ يُعِدْ مَا كَانَ قَبْلَهُ ‏.‏. It has been told to me from Malik from [Hisyam bin Urwah] from [his father] from [Yahya bin Abdurrahman bin Hathib] that he once performed Umrah with [Umar bin Al Khattab] in a group of vehicles which included Amru bin Al 'Ash. Umar stopped to rest on a road close to the lake. He had a wet dream. When it was almost dawn, he and his group did not get water. He continued walking until he found water, then he washed the visible wet dream marks until they disappeared. Amru bin Al 'Ash said; "You have left so early, even though we still have clothes in stock. Take off your clothes for us to wash." Umar bin Al Khattab said; "How surprising you are, O Amru bin Al 'Ash. If you bring a lot of clothes, are other people like you? By Allah, if I do it, it is sunnah. But it is enough for me to wash what is visible and sprinkle what is not visible (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 114.) 15th Hadith. حَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، أَنَّ أُمَّ سُلَيْمٍ، قَالَتْ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم الْمَرْأَةُ تَرَى فِي الْمَنَامِ مِثْلَ مَا يَرَى الرَّجُلُ أَتَغْتَسِلُ فَقَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏"‏ نَعَمْ فَلْتَغْتَسِلْ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ فَقَالَتْ لَهَا عَائِشَةُ أُفٍّ لَكِ وَهَلْ تَرَى ذَلِكَ الْمَرْأَةُ فَقَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏"‏ تَرِبَتْ يَمِينُكِ وَمِنْ أَيْنَ يَكُونُ الشَّبَهُ ‏"‏ ‏.‏. It has been told to me from Malik from [Ibnu Shihab] from [Urwah bin Az Zubair] said, "Umm Sulaim asked the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam about a woman who dreamed in her sleep like a man's dream. Should he shower? Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam replied: "Yes, he must bathe." Aisyah said to Umm Sulaim; "Dad, is it possible for a woman to have dreams like that?" Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said to Aisha: "I wish you luck, then where does the likeness come from? (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 115.) 16th Hadith. حَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ جَاءَتْ أُمُّ سُلَيْمٍ امْرَأَةُ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ الأَنْصَارِيِّ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يَسْتَحْيِي مِنَ الْحَقِّ هَلْ عَلَى الْمَرْأَةِ مِنْ غُسْلٍ إِذَا هِيَ احْتَلَمَتْ فَقَالَ ‏ "‏ نَعَمْ إِذَا رَأَتِ الْمَاءَ ‏"‏ ‏.‏. It has been told to me from Malik from [Hisyam bin Urwah] from [his father] from [Zainab bint Abu Salamah] from [Ummu Salamah] the wife of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam he said, "Um Sulaim, the wife of Abu Talhah Al Ansari met the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam and said; 'O Messenger of Allah, Allah is not ashamed of what is right, is a woman obliged to bathe if she has a wet dream? ' So he answered: "Yes. If he sees water (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 116.) 17th Hadith. حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ، كَانَ يَقُولُ لاَ بَأْسَ أَنْ يُغْتَسَلَ بِفَضْلِ الْمَرْأَةِ مَا لَمْ تَكُنْ حَائِضًا أَوْ جُنُبًا ‏.‏. Has told me Yahya from Malik from [Nafi'] said, "[Abdullah bin Umar] said; "There is no problem in bathing with water left over from a woman's bath as long as the woman is not menstruating or junub (Degree: sahih. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 117.) 18th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ، كَانَ يَعْرَقُ فِي الثَّوْبِ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ ثُمَّ يُصَلِّي فِيهِ ‏.‏. It has been told to me from Malik from [Nafi'] said, "[Abdullah bin Umar] sweated and soaked his clothes while he was in a state of junub. Then he prayed with those clothes (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 118.) 19th hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ، كَانَ يَغْسِلُ جَوَارِيهِ رِجْلَيْهِ وَيُعْطِينَهُ الْخُمْرَةَ وَهُنَّ حُيَّضٌ ‏.‏ وَسُئِلَ مَالِكٌ عَنْ رَجُلٍ لَهُ نِسْوَةٌ وَجَوَارِي هَلْ يَطَؤُهُنَّ جَمِيعًا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَغْتَسِلَ فَقَالَ لاَ بَأْسَ بِأَنْ يُصِيبَ الرَّجُلُ جَارِيَتَيْهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَغْتَسِلَ فَأَمَّا النِّسَاءُ الْحَرَائِرُ فَيُكْرَهُ أَنْ يُصِيبَ الرَّجُلُ الْمَرْأَةَ الْحُرَّةَ فِي يَوْمِ الأُخْرَى فَأَمَّا أَنَّ يُصِيبَ الْجَارِيَةَ ثُمَّ يُصِيبَ الأُخْرَى وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ فَلاَ بَأْسَ بِذَلِكَ ‏.‏ وَسُئِلَ مَالِكٌ عَنْ رَجُلٍ جُنُبٍ وُضِعَ لَهُ مَاءٌ يَغْتَسِلُ بِهِ فَسَهَا فَأَدْخَلَ أَصْبُعَهُ فِيهِ لِيَعْرِفَ حَرَّ الْمَاءِ مِنْ بَرْدِهِ ‏.‏ قَالَ مَالِكٌ إِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ أَصَابَ أَصْبُعَهُ أَذًى فَلاَ أَرَى ذَلِكَ يُنَجِّسُ عَلَيْهِ الْمَاءَ ‏.‏. It has been told to me from Malik from [Nafi'] that the female slaves of [Abdullah bin 'Umar] washed their feet and perfumed them, even though they were menstruating (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 119.) 20th hadith. حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي بَعْضِ أَسْفَارِهِ حَتَّى إِذَا كُنَّا بِالْبَيْدَاءِ - أَوْ بِذَاتِ الْجَيْشِ - انْقَطَعَ عِقْدٌ لِي فَأَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَلَى الْتِمَاسِهِ وَأَقَامَ النَّاسُ مَعَهُ وَلَيْسُوا عَلَى مَاءٍ وَلَيْسَ مَعَهُمْ مَاءٌ فَأَتَى النَّاسُ إِلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ فَقَالُوا أَلاَ تَرَى مَا صَنَعَتْ عَائِشَةُ أَقَامَتْ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَبِالنَّاسِ وَلَيْسُوا عَلَى مَاءٍ وَلَيْسَ مَعَهُمْ مَاءٌ ‏.‏ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ فَجَاءَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَاضِعٌ رَأْسَهُ عَلَى فَخِذِي قَدْ نَامَ فَقَالَ حَبَسْتِ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَالنَّاسَ وَلَيْسُوا عَلَى مَاءٍ وَلَيْسَ مَعَهُمْ مَاءٌ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ فَعَاتَبَنِي أَبُو بَكْرٍ فَقَالَ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ أَنْ يَقُولَ وَجَعَلَ يَطْعُنُ بِيَدِهِ فِي خَاصِرَتِي فَلاَ يَمْنَعُنِي مِنَ التَّحَرُّكِ إِلاَّ مَكَانُ رَأْسِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَلَى فَخِذِي فَنَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم حَتَّى أَصْبَحَ عَلَى غَيْرِ مَاءٍ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى آيَةَ التَّيَمُّمِ فَتَيَمَّمُوا ‏.‏ فَقَالَ أُسَيْدُ بْنُ حُضَيْرٍ مَا هِيَ بِأَوَّلِ بَرَكَتِكُمْ يَا آلَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ‏.‏ قَالَتْ فَبَعَثْنَا الْبَعِيرَ الَّذِي كُنْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَوَجَدْنَا الْعِقْدَ تَحْتَهُ ‏.‏. It has been told to me that Yahya from Malik from [Abdurrahman bin Al Qasim] from [his father] from [Aisyah] Ummul Mukminin said, "We went out with Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam on a journey. When we were in Baida` or Dzatul Jaisy, my necklace broke and fell. Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam stopped to look for it and the people followed him. While he and they did not bring it water. They then met Abu Bakar As Siddiq and said; "Don't you know what happened to Aisyah? He stopped with Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam and his companions, while they were not at the water and did not take him with them." Aisha said; "Abu Bakr came when Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam was sleeping and put his head on my thigh. Abu Bakr said; "You have hindered the journey of Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam and his companions, even though they were not in the water and did not carry it! ' Abu Bakr criticized me and said something according to what Allah wanted him to say. He poked my waist with his hand, and nothing prevented me from moving except the position of Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam who was sleeping on my thigh. Meanwhile Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam was still asleep until morning without water, then Allah Tabaraka Wa Ta'ala revealed the verse of tayammum, until they did tayammum. Usaid bin Khudlair said, "O family of Abu Bakr, this is nothing but the first blessing that Allah gave you." 21st Hadith. حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، أَنَّهُ أَقْبَلَ هُوَ وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ مِنَ الْجُرُفِ حَتَّى إِذَا كَانَا بِالْمِرْبَدِ نَزَلَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ فَتَيَمَّمَ صَعِيدًا طَيِّبًا فَمَسَحَ وَجْهَهُ وَيَدَيْهِ إِلَى الْمِرْفَقَيْنِ ثُمَّ صَلَّى ‏.‏. Yahya has told me from Malik from [Nafi'] that he and [Abdullah bin Umar] returned from Juruf. When they arrived at Mirbad, Abdullah stopped and performed tayamum on the holy land. He rubbed his face and hands up to his elbows, then prayed (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 121.) 22nd Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ، كَانَ يَتَيَمَّمُ إِلَى الْمِرْفَقَيْنِ ‏.‏ وَسُئِلَ مَالِكٌ كَيْفَ التَّيَمُّمُ وَأَيْنَ يَبْلُغُ بِهِ فَقَالَ يَضْرِبُ ضَرْبَةً لِلْوَجْهِ وَضَرْبَةً لِلْيَدَيْنِ وَيَمْسَحُهُمَا إِلَى الْمِرْفَقَيْنِ ‏.‏. It has been told to me from Malik from [Nafi'] that [Abdullah bin Umar] performed tayamum up to his elbows (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 122.) 23rd Hadith. حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ حَرْمَلَةَ، أَنَّ رَجُلاً، سَأَلَ سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْمُسَيَّبِ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ الْجُنُبِ، يَتَيَمَّمُ ثُمَّ يُدْرِكُ الْمَاءَ فَقَالَ سَعِيدٌ إِذَا أَدْرَكَ الْمَاءَ فَعَلَيْهِ الْغُسْلُ لِمَا يُسْتَقْبَلُ ‏.‏ قَالَ مَالِكٌ فِيمَنِ احْتَلَمَ وَهُوَ فِي سَفَرٍ وَلاَ يَقْدِرُ مِنَ الْمَاءِ إِلاَّ عَلَى قَدْرِ الْوُضُوءِ وَهُوَ لاَ يَعْطَشُ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ الْمَاءَ قَالَ يَغْسِلُ بِذَلِكَ فَرْجَهُ وَمَا أَصَابَهُ مِنْ ذَلِكَ الأَذَى ثُمَّ يَتَيَمَّمُ صَعِيدًا طَيِّبًا كَمَا أَمَرَهُ اللَّهُ ‏.‏ وَسُئِلَ مَالِكٌ عَنْ رَجُلٍ جُنُبٍ أَرَادَ أَنْ يَتَيَمَّمَ فَلَمْ يَجِدْ تُرَابًا إِلاَّ تُرَابَ سَبَخَةٍ هَلْ يَتَيَمَّمُ بِالسِّبَاخِ وَهَلْ تُكْرَهُ الصَّلاَةُ فِي السِّبَاخِ قَالَ مَالِكٌ لاَ بَأْسَ بِالصَّلاَةِ فِي السِّبَاخِ وَالتَّيَمُّمِ مِنْهَا لأَنَّ اللَّهَ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى قَالَ ‏{‏فَتَيَمَّمُوا صَعِيدًا طَيِّبًا‏}‏ فَكُلُّ مَا كَانَ صَعِيدًا فَهُوَ يُتَيَمَّمُ بِهِ سِبَاخًا كَانَ أَوْ غَيْرَهُ ‏.‏. Yahya told me from Malik from [Abdurrahman bin Harmalah] said, "A man asked Sa'id bin Musayyab about a junub who performed tayamum and then got water. [Sa'id answered]; "When he has got water, then he must bathe for the next prayer (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 123.) 24th Hadith. حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، أَنَّ رَجُلاً، سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ مَا يَحِلُّ لِي مِنِ امْرَأَتِي وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ "‏ لِتَشُدَّ عَلَيْهَا إِزَارَهَا ثُمَّ شَأْنَكَ بِأَعْلاَهَا ‏"‏ ‏.‏. It has been told to me that Yahya from Malik from [Zaid bin Aslam] said, "A man asked Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam, "When my wife menstruates, what can I do?" Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam answered: "Tell her to tie the sarong, after that it's up to you with the top (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 124.) 25th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ، زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَتْ مُضْطَجِعَةً مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ وَأَنَّهَا قَدْ وَثَبَتْ وَثْبَةً شَدِيدَةً فَقَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏"‏ مَا لَكِ لَعَلَّكِ نَفِسْتِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ يَعْنِي الْحَيْضَةَ ‏.‏ فَقَالَتْ نَعَمْ ‏.‏ قَالَ ‏"‏ شُدِّي عَلَى نَفْسِكِ إِزَارَكِ ثُمَّ عُودِي إِلَى مَضْجَعِكِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏. It has been told to me from Malik from [Rabi'ah bin Abdurrahman] who said, "Aisha, the wife of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam was lying with Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam in one cloth. Suddenly she jumped up quickly, so Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam asked: "What's wrong with you? Are you menstruating?" 'Aisyah answered, "That's right." Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam then said: "Tighten the ties of your sarong, then go back to your bed (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 125.) 26th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، أَنَّ عُبَيْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، أَرْسَلَ إِلَى عَائِشَةَ يَسْأَلُهَا هَلْ يُبَاشِرُ الرَّجُلُ امْرَأَتَهُ وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ فَقَالَتْ لِتَشُدَّ إِزَارَهَا عَلَى أَسْفَلِهَا ثُمَّ يُبَاشِرُهَا إِنْ شَاءَ ‏.‏. Has told me from Malik from [Nafi'] said, "[Ubaidullah bin Abdullah bin Umar] sent someone to [Aisyah] to ask, 'Is it permissible for a man to have sex with his wife when she is menstruating?" Aisyah answered, "Let him (wife) fasten the sarong at the bottom, then he (husband) can have sex with her as he pleases (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 126.) 27th Hadith. حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ أَبِي عَلْقَمَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ، مَوْلاَةِ عَائِشَةَ أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ كَانَ النِّسَاءُ يَبْعَثْنَ إِلَى عَائِشَةَ أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ بِالدِّرَجَةِ فِيهَا الْكُرْسُفُ فِيهِ الصُّفْرَةُ مِنْ دَمِ الْحَيْضَةِ يَسْأَلْنَهَا عَنِ الصَّلاَةِ فَتَقُولُ لَهُنَّ لاَ تَعْجَلْنَ حَتَّى تَرَيْنَ الْقَصَّةَ الْبَيْضَاءَ ‏.‏ تُرِيدُ بِذَلِكَ الطُّهْرَ مِنَ الْحَيْضَةِ ‏.‏. Having told me about Yahya from Malik from ['Alqamah bin Abu 'Alqamah] from [his mother] former slave Aisyah Umul Mukminin, he said; "The women sent a box to 'Aisyah Ummul Mukminin, in the box there was cotton mixed with yellow fluid from menstrual blood. They asked what about the law of prayer that he performed?" So ['Aisyah] said to them, "Don't rush until you see white fluid." meaning it is pure from menstruation (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 128.) 28th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، عَنْ عَمَّتِهِ، عَنِ ابْنَةِ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، أَنَّهُ بَلَغَهَا أَنَّ نِسَاءً، كُنَّ يَدْعُونَ بِالْمَصَابِيحِ مِنْ جَوْفِ اللَّيْلِ يَنْظُرْنَ إِلَى الطُّهْرِ فَكَانَتْ تَعِيبُ ذَلِكَ عَلَيْهِنَّ وَتَقُولُ مَا كَانَ النِّسَاءُ يَصْنَعْنَ هَذَا ‏.‏ وَسُئِلَ مَالِكٌ عَنِ الْحَائِضِ تَطْهُرُ فَلاَ تَجِدُ مَاءً هَلْ تَتَيَمَّمُ قَالَ نَعَمْ لِتَتَيَمَّمْ فَإِنَّ مِثْلَهَا مِثْلُ الْجُنُبِ إِذَا لَمْ يَجِدْ مَاءً تَيَمَّمَ ‏.‏. It has been told to me from Malik from [Abdullah bin Abu Bakr] from [His aunt] from [Zaid bin Thabit's daughter] it has reached him, that the women ask for a lamp at the end of the night to see the holy period. Zaid's daughter rebuked them by saying; "Why do women do this (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 129.) 29th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ ابْنَ شِهَابٍ عَنِ الْمَرْأَةِ الْحَامِلِ، تَرَى الدَّمَ قَالَ تَكُفُّ عَنِ الصَّلاَةِ، ‏.‏ قَالَ يَحْيَى قَالَ مَالِكٌ وَذَلِكَ الأَمْرُ عِنْدَنَا ‏.‏. Has told me from Malik he asked [Ibn Shihab] about a pregnant woman who saw menstrual blood. Ibn Shihab answered; "Let him abandon his prayer." Yahya said; Malik said, "That is our opinion (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 131.) 30th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ كُنْتُ أُرَجِّلُ رَأْسَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ ‏.‏. Has told me from Malik from [Hisyam bin Urwah] from [his father] from [Aisyah] the wife of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, he said; "I once tidied the hair of Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, even though at that time I was menstruating (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 132.) 31st Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ الْمُنْذِرِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ سَأَلَتِ امْرَأَةٌ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَتْ أَرَأَيْتَ إِحْدَانَا إِذَا أَصَابَ ثَوْبَهَا الدَّمُ مِنَ الْحَيْضَةِ كَيْفَ تَصْنَعُ فِيهِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ "‏ إِذَا أَصَابَ ثَوْبَ إِحْدَاكُنَّ الدَّمُ مِنَ الْحَيْضَةِ فَلْتَقْرُصْهُ ثُمَّ لِتَنْضَحْهُ بِالْمَاءِ ثُمَّ لِتُصَلِّي فِيهِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏. Having told me from Malik from [Hisyam bin Urwah] from [his father] from [Fathimah bint Al Mundzir bin Az Zubair] from [Asma bint Abu Bakar As Siddiq] he said; "There was a woman who asked the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, he said, "What do you think if one of us has menstrual blood on her clothes, what should she do?" Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam answered; "If one of you has menstrual blood on her clothes, then scratch it first and sprinkle it with water, then she can pray with it (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 133.) 32nd Hadith. حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ قَالَتْ فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ أَبِي حُبَيْشٍ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي لاَ أَطْهُرُ أَفَأَدَعُ الصَّلاَةَ فَقَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ "‏ إِنَّمَا ذَلِكِ عِرْقٌ وَلَيْسَتْ بِالْحَيْضَةِ فَإِذَا أَقْبَلَتِ الْحَيْضَةُ فَاتْرُكِي الصَّلاَةَ فَإِذَا ذَهَبَ قَدْرُهَا فَاغْسِلِي الدَّمَ عَنْكِ وَصَلِّي ‏"‏ ‏.‏. Has told me Yahya from Malik from [Hisyam bin Urwah] from [his father] from [Aisyah] the wife of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, he said, "Fathimah bint Hubaisy asked, "O Messenger of Allah, I am not yet pure, can I leave the prayer?" menstruation has ended so perform the prayer, cleanse your blood and perform the prayer (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 134.) 33rd Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّ امْرَأَةً كَانَتْ تُهَرَاقُ الدِّمَاءَ فِي عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَاسْتَفْتَتْ لَهَا أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ ‏ "‏ لِتَنْظُرْ إِلَى عَدَدِ اللَّيَالِي وَالأَيَّامِ الَّتِي كَانَتْ تَحِيضُهُنَّ مِنَ الشَّهْرِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُصِيبَهَا الَّذِي أَصَابَهَا فَلْتَتْرُكِ الصَّلاَةَ قَدْرَ ذَلِكَ مِنَ الشَّهْرِ فَإِذَا خَلَّفَتْ ذَلِكَ فَلْتَغْتَسِلْ ثُمَّ لِتَسْتَثْفِرْ بِثَوْبٍ ثُمَّ لِتُصَلِّي ‏"‏ ‏.‏. It has been told to me from Malik from [Nafi'] from [Sulaiman bin Yasar] from [Umu Salamah] the wife of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, that during the time of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam there was a woman who continuously shed blood. Umm Salamah then asked for a fatwa from Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, he replied: "Let them pay attention to how many days they usually experience menstruation in a month, before what they are experiencing now. She should leave out the number of days she usually menstruates in that month, after that she should bathe, change clothes and perform prayers (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 135.) Telah menceritakan kepadaku dari Malik dari [Hisyam bin Urwah] dari [bapaknya] dari berkata; "Seorang wanita yang istihadlah tidak wajib mandi kecuali hanya sekali, setelahitu ia harus berwudlu untuk setiap shalat (yang akan dikerjakan) ." Yahya berkata; Malik berkata, "Menurut pendapat kami, jika seorang yang istihadlah telah shalat, maka boleh bagi suaminya untuk menggaulinya. Begitu juga para wanita nifas, jika telah sampai puncak di mana wanita telah terhenti darah nifasnya, lalu keluar darah setelah itu, boleh bagi suaminya untuk menggaulinya. Dan hukumnya seperti wanita yang istihadlah." Yahya berkata; Malik berkata, "Pendapat kami tentang wanita istihadlah adalah sebagaimana disebutkan hadits Hisyam bin Urwah, dari bapaknya.
