Episode 4: The Trials of Da'wah and Consolation from Allah

The da'wah of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ faced heavy trials. The Quraysh insulted, boycotted, and tortured his weaker followers, such as Bilal ibn Rabah (RA). He himself lived through grief — the death of Khadijah and Abu Talib in the same year, and the rejection by the people of Ta'if. Amid that hardship, Allah sent down verses of consolation: "By the morning brightness, and [by] the night when it covers with darkness, your Lord has not taken leave of you, nor has He detested [you]" (Qur'an 93:1-3). Allah also expanded his breast with His words: "Did We not expand for you your breast? And We removed from you your burden which had weighed upon your back, and raised high for you your repute. For indeed, with hardship [will be] ease. Indeed, with hardship [will be] ease" (Qur'an 94:1-6). The promise "with hardship [will be] ease," repeated twice, became an everlasting anchor for every believer. The Prophet ﷺ remained steadfast, full of compassion even toward those who opposed him, praying for the good of those who harmed him. Reflection: the path of truth is not free of trial, but Allah never abandons a servant who struggles in His way. Every hardship is surely accompanied by ease — a promise that strengthens the steps of the callers of truth through all time.
