The book “The Honor of the Companions of Hadith” by Al-Khatib Al-Baghdadi is a book on the sciences of hadith, which aims to explain the virtue of the Companions of Hadith and their position in Islam, and to respond to those who criticize them from among the innovators. The book reviews a number of Prophetic hadiths and hadiths that praise the bearers of the Sunnah, describing them as the successors of the Messenger in conveying the message, the trustees of the religion, the heirs of knowledge, and the protectors of the Sharia. The author also discusses the virtues of seeking hadith and the journey in its path, and defends the Sunnis against the accusations of those who disagree with them.
