About this work
«طيبة النشر في القراءات العشر» هي منظومة ألفية لابن الجزري في القراءات العشر الكبرى جمع فيها الإمام ابن الجزري ما اختلف فيه القراء وماورد عنهم من أصح الطرق التي انتقاها، عدد أبياتها (1014) بيتاً.، على بحر الرجز (مستفعلن ست مرات), وسمّي بذلك لتقارب أجزائه، وقلّة حروفه. قال «ابن سيده أبو الحسن علي بن إسماعيل» ت 458 هـ: «الرجز: شعر ابتداء أجزائه: سببان، ثمّ «وتد» وهو وزن يسهل في السمع، ويقع في النّفس».
Translation
“Taybat al-Nashr fi al-Qira’at al-Ten” is Ibn al-Jazari’s Alfiyyah collection of the ten major recitations in which Imam Ibn al-Jazari collected what the reciters differed about and what was reported from them among the most correct methods that he chose. The number of its verses is (1014) verses., on Bahr al-Rajaz (mustaf’ilun six times), and it was called that due to the closeness of its parts and the scarcity of its letters. Ibn Sayyidah Abu al-Hasan Ali bin Ismail, d. 458 AH, said: “Rajaz: poetry whose parts begin with: two rhymes, then “watad,” which is a meter that is easy to hear and resonates with the soul.”
