قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ وَعَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ بْنِ أَسِيدٍ الْغِفَارِيِّأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَخْبَرَ بِمَوْتِ النَّجَاشِيِّ قَالَ فَقَالَ صَلُّوا عَلَى أَخٍ لَكُمْ بِغَيْرِ بِلَادِكُمْ

He said: A soul narrated to us. He said: Saeed bin Abi Arouba and Abd al-Wahhab narrated to us, on the authority of Saeed, on the authority of Qatada, on the authority of Abu Tufayl, on the authority of Hudhayfah bin Asid. Al-Ghafari: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was informed of the death of al-Najashi. He said, “Pray for your brother in another country.”

قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ وَأَزْهَرُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا الْمُثَنَّى حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ بْنِ أَسِيدٍأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ عَلَيْهِمْ يَوْمًا فَقَالَ صَلُّوا عَلَى صَاحِبِكُمْ مَاتَ بِغَيْرِ بِلَادِكُمْ قَالُوا مَنْ هُوَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ صُحْمَةُ النَّجَاشِيُّ وَقَالَ أَزْهَرُ صَحْمَةُ وَقَالَ أَزْهَرُ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ اللَّيْثِيِّ عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ بْنِ أَسِيدٍ الْغِفَارِيِّ

He said: Abd al-Samad and Azhar bin al-Qasim narrated to us, they said: Al-Muthanna narrated to us, Qatada narrated to us, on the authority of Abu Tufayl, on the authority of Hudhayfah bin Asid, that the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, went out to them one day and said, “Pray for your friend. He died in a country other than yours.” They said, “Who is he, O Messenger of God?” He said, “Sahmah.” Al-Najashi, and Azhar Sahmah said, and Azhar Abu Tufayl Al-Laythi said, on the authority of Hudhayfah bin Asid Al-Ghifari

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْمُثَنَّى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ بْنِ أَسِيدٍأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَاءَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ فَقَالَ صَلُّوا عَلَى أَخٍ لَكُمْ مَاتَ بِغَيْرِ أَرْضِكُمْ قَالُوا مَنْ هُوَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ صُحْمَةُ النَّجَاشِيُّ فَقَامُوا فَصَلَّوْا عَلَيْهِ

Abu Sa’id, the client of Banu Hashim, narrated to us, saying: Al-Muthanna bin Sa’id narrated to us, saying: Qatada narrated to us, on the authority of Abu Tufayl, on the authority of Hudhayfah bin It is said that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, came one day and said, “Pray for a brother of yours who died in a land other than yours.” They said, “Who is he, O Messenger?” God said: Sahmah al-Najashi, so they stood up and prayed over him.

قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ قَالَ وَقَدْ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ عُقْبَةَ وَلَكِنِّي لِحَدِيثِ عُبَيْدٍ أَحْفَظُ قَالَتَزَوَّجْتُ فَجَاءَتْنَا امْرَأَةٌ سَوْدَاءُ فَقَالَتْ إِنِّي قَدْ أَرْضَعْتُكُمَا فَأَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقُلْتُ إِنِّي تَزَوَّجْتُ امْرَأَةً فُلَانَةَ ابْنَةَ فُلَانٍ فَجَاءَتْنَا امْرَأَةٌ سَوْدَاءُ فَقَالَتْ إِنِّي أَرْضَعْتُكُمَا وَهِيَ كَافِرَةٌ فَأَعْرَضَ عَنِّي فَأَتَيْتُهُ مِنْ قِبَلِ وَجْهِهِ فَقُلْتُ إِنَّهَا كَاذِبَةٌ فَقَالَ لِي كَيْفَ بِهَا وَقَدْ زَعَمَتْ أَنَّهَا أَرْضَعَتْكُمَا دَعْهَا عَنْكَ

He said, Ismail bin Ibrahim told us, he said, Ayoub told us on the authority of Abdullah bin Abi Mulaika, he said, Ubaid bin Abi Maryam told me, on the authority of Uqba bin Al-Harith said: I heard it from Uqba, but I memorize the hadith of Ubaid, who said: I got married, and a black woman came to us and said: I breastfed you both, so I came to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and said, “I married such-and-such woman, the daughter of so-and-so, and a black woman came to us.” So she said, “I breastfed you both while she is an unbeliever, so he turned away from me.” So I went to him in front of him and said, “She is a liar.” So he said to me, “What about her, since she claimed?” Because she breastfed you, leave her alone.

قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أُمَيَّةَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِتَزَوَّجْتُ ابْنَةَ أَبِي إِيهَابٍ فَجَاءَتْ امْرَأَةٌ سَوْدَاءُ يَعْنِي فَذَكَرَتْ أَنَّهَا أَرْضَعَتْكُمَا فَأَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقُمْتُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ فَكَلَّمْتُهُ فَأَعْرَضَ عَنِّي فَقُمْتُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ فَأَعْرَضَ عَنِّي فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّمَا هِيَ سَوْدَاءُ قَالَ فَكَيْفَ وَقَدْ قِيلَ

He said: Sufyan bin Uyaynah told us, on the authority of Ismail, meaning Ibn Umayyah, on the authority of Ibn Abi Mulaika, on the authority of Uqba bin Al-Harith: I married my father’s daughter. Ihab, then a black woman came, meaning she mentioned that she had breastfed you both, so I came to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and I stood in front of him and spoke to him. So he turned away from me, so I stood to his right and he turned away from me, so I said, O Messenger of God, it is black. He said, “So how, when it has been said?”

قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عُقْبَةُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ قَالَأُتِيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالنُّعَيْمَانِ قَدْ شَرِبَ الْخَمْرَ فَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ فِي الْبَيْتِ فَضَرَبُوهُ بِالْأَيْدِي وَالْجَرِيدِ وَالنِّعَالِقَالَ فَكُنْتُ مِمَّنْ ضَرَبَهُ

He said: Abdul Samad told us, he said: My father told us, he said: Ayoub told us, on the authority of Ibn Abi Mulaika, he said: Uqba bin Al-Harith told me, he said: The Messenger of God came Al-Nu'aymān had drunk alcohol, so the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, ordered those in the house to beat him with their fists and a shovel. And the sandal, he said, so I was among those who hit it.

قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي حُسَيْنٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ قَالَصَلَّيْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْعَصْرَ فَلَمَّا سَلَّمَ قَامَ سَرِيعًا فَدَخَلَ عَلَى بَعْضِ نِسَائِهِ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ وَرَأَى مَا فِي وُجُوهِ الْقَوْمِ مِنْ تَعَاجُبِهِمْ وَلُبِسَ عَلَيْهِ قَالَ ذَكَرْتُ وَأَنَا فِي الصَّلَاةِ تِبْرًا عِنْدَنَا فَكَرِهْتُ أَنْ يُمْسِيَ أَوْ يَبِيتَ عِنْدَنَا فَأَمَرْتُ بِقِسْمَتِهِقَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ قَالَ انْصَرَفَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ صَلَّى الْعَصْرَ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

He said: A soul narrated to us. He said: Omar bin Saeed bin Abi Husayn narrated to us. He said: Abdullah bin Abi Mulaika narrated to me, on the authority of Uqba bin Al-Harith. He said: I prayed the afternoon prayer with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and when he greeted him, he quickly got up and went in to see some of his wives, then he went out and saw what was on the people’s faces. Of their astonishment and confusion about it, he said, “I mentioned while I was praying righteously with us, I hated for him to spend the evening or spend the night with us, so I ordered it to be divided.” He said Abu Ahmad Al-Zubayri told us, he said: Omar bin Saeed told us, on the authority of Ibn Abi Mulaika, on the authority of Uqba bin Al-Harith, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, departed When he prayed the afternoon prayer, he mentioned its meaning.

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عُقْبَةُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ أَوْ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْهُأَنَّهُ تَزَوَّجَ أُمَّ يَحْيَى ابْنَةَ أَبِي إِيهَابٍ فَجَاءَتْ امْرَأَةٌ سَوْدَاءُ فَقَالَتْ قَدْ أَرْضَعْتُكُمَا فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَعْرَضَ عَنِّي فَتَنَحَّيْتُ فَذَكَرْتُهُ لَهُ فَقَالَ فَكَيْفَ وَقَدْ زَعَمَتْ أَنْ قَدْ أَرْضَعَتْكُمَا فَنَهَاهُ عَنْهَا

Yahya bin Saeed told us, on the authority of Ibn Jurayj, on the authority of Ibn Abi Mulaika, he said: Uqba bin Al-Harith told me, or I heard him from him, that he married Umm Yahya, the daughter of Abu Ihab, and a black woman came and said, “I have breastfed you both.” I mentioned that to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. So he turned away from me, so I stepped aside and mentioned it to him. He said, “How come, when she claimed to have breastfed you both?” but he forbade her.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ أَنَّ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ أَخْبَرَهُ أَوْ سَمِعَهُ مِنْهُ إِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ خَصَّهُ بِهِأَنَّهُ نَكَحَ ابْنَةَ أَبِي إِيهَابٍ فَقَالَتْ أَمَةٌ سَوْدَاءُ قَدْ أَرْضَعْتُكُمَا فَجِئْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لَهُ فَأَعْرَضَ عَنِّي فَجِئْتُ فَذَكَرْتُ لَهُ فَقَالَ فَكَيْفَ وَقَدْ زَعَمَتْ أَنْ قَدْ أَرْضَعَتْكُمَا فَنَهَاهُ عَنْهَا

Abdul Razzaq told us, he said, Ibn Jurayj told us, he said, Abdullah bin Ubaid Allah bin Abi Mulaika told us that Uqba bin Al Harith bin Amir told him, or heard it from him, if not, he singled him out for that, that he had intercourse with Abu Ihab’s daughter, and a black slave girl said, “I have breastfed you both,” so I came. The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, so I mentioned that to him, so he turned away from me, so I came and mentioned it to him, and he said, “How can it be, since she claimed that I had breastfed you both?” so he forbade him. قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ وَعَفَّانُ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ قَالَ عَفَّانُ فِي حَدِيثِهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُتِيَ بِالنُّعَيْمَانِ أَوْ ابْنِ النُّعَيْمَانِ وَهُوَ سَكْرَانُ قَالَ فَاشْتَدَّ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَمَرَ مَنْ فِي الْبَيْتِ أَنْ يَضْرِبُوهُ فَضَرَبُوهُ قَالَ عَفَّانُ فِي حَدِيثِهِ فَشَقَّ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَشَقَّةً شَدِيدَةًقَالَ عُقْبَةُ فَكُنْتُ فِيمَنْ ضَرَبَهُ

He said, Suleiman bin Harb and Affan told us, they said, Wahib bin Khaled told us, Affan said in his hadith, he said, Ayoub told us, on the authority of Abdullah bin Abu Mulaika, on the authority of Uqba bin Al-Harith, that the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, was brought to Al-Nu’ayman or Ibn Al-Nu’ayman while he was drunk, he said, and he became more violent The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, ordered those in the house to beat him, and they beat him. Affan said in his hadith, so he was upset with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. There was great hardship upon him and grant him peace. Uqba said, “I was among those who struck him.”

حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَوْسِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ الثَّقَفِيِّ قَالَرَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَتَى كِظَامَةَ قَوْمٍ فَتَوَضَّأَ

Hushaym told us, on the authority of Ali bin Ata, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Aws bin Aws Al-Thaqafi, who said: I saw the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, coming Like the darkness of a people, so they performed ablution

قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي أَوْسٍ عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَنَّهُكَانَ يُؤْتَى بِنَعْلَيْهِ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي فَيَلْبَسُهُمَا وَيَقُولُ إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي فِي نَعْلَيْهِ

He said: Yahya bin Saeed told us, on the authority of Shu’bah, on the authority of Al-Nu’man bin Salem, on the authority of Ibn Abi Aws, on the authority of his grandfather, that his shoes were brought to weariness while he was He prays and wears them and says, “I saw the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, praying in his shoes.”

قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ شُعْبَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَعْلَى بْنُ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَوْسِ بْنِ أَبِي أَوْسٍ قَالَرَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى نَعْلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَامَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ

He said: Yahya told us on the authority of Shu’bah. He said: Ya’la bin Ata told us on the authority of his father, on the authority of Aws bin Abi Aws. He said: I saw the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. He, peace and blessings be upon him, performed ablution and wiped over his shoes, then he stood up to pray.

قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَوْسًا يَقُولُأَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي وَفْدِ ثَقِيفٍ فَكُنَّا فِي قُبَّةٍ فَقَامَ مَنْ كَانَ فِيهَا غَيْرِي وَغَيْرَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ فَسَارَّهُ فَقَالَ اذْهَبْ فَاقْتُلْهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ أَلَيْسَ يَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ قَالَ بَلَى وَلَكِنَّهُ يَقُولُهَا تَعَوُّذًا فَقَالَ رُدَّهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أُقَاتِلَ النَّاسَ حَتَّى يَقُولُوا لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ فَإِذَا قَالُوهَا حُرِّمَتْ عَلَيَّ دِمَاؤُهُمْ وَأَمْوَالُهُمْ إِلَّا بِحَقِّهَا فَقُلْتُ لِشُعْبَةَ أَلَيْسَ فِي الْحَدِيثِ ثُمَّ قَالَ أَلَيْسَ يَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَأَنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ أَظُنُّهَا مَعَهَا وَمَا أَدْرِي

He said: Muhammad bin Ja’far told us: Shu’bah told us on the authority of al-Nu’man. He said: I heard Awsa say: I came to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, in The delegation of Thaqif, and we were in a dome, and whoever was there stood up other than me and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and a man came and walked towards him and said, “Go and kill him.” Then he said, “Does he not bear witness that there is no god but Allah?” He said, “Yes, but he says it as a refuge.” So he rejected it, then he said, “I have been ordered to fight the people until they say no.” There is no god but God. If they say it, their blood and their property are forbidden to me, except by right. So I said to Shu`bah, “Isn’t it in the hadith?” Then he said, “Isn’t it?” He bears witness that there is no god but God and that I am the Messenger of God. Shu’bah said, “I think I am with her, but I do not know.”

قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِلَالٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَوْسِ بْنِ أَوْسٍعَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ الْجُمُعَةِ فَغَسَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ رَأْسَهُ وَاغْتَسَلَ ثُمَّ غَدَا أَوْ ابْتَكَرَ ثُمَّ دَنَا فَاسْتَمَعَ وَأَنْصَتَ كَانَ لَهُ بِكُلِّ خُطْوَةٍ خَطَاهَا كَصِيَامِ سَنَةٍ وَقِيَامِ سَنَةٍ

He said: Abdul Razzaq told us, he said: Ibn Jurayj told us, on the authority of Omar ibn Muhammad, on the authority of Sa`id ibn Abi Hilal, on the authority of Muhammad ibn Sa`id, on the authority of Aws ibn It is narrated on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, that he said, “If it is Friday and one of you washes his head and takes a bath, then in the morning, or early in the morning, then he approaches and listens.” And he listened, and he had every step he took, like fasting a year and praying in prayer a year.

قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بَكْرٍ السَّهْمِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَاتِمُ بْنُ أَبِي صَغِيرَةَ عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ أَنَّ عَمْرَو بْنَ أَوْسٍ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ أَوْسًا أَخْبَرَهُ قَالَإِنَّا لَقُعُودٌ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الصُّفَّةِ وَهُوَ يَقُصُّ عَلَيْنَا وَيُذَكِّرُنَا إِذْ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ فَسَارَّهُ فَقَالَ اذْهَبُوا فَاقْتُلُوهُ قَالَ فَلَمَّا وَلَّى الرَّجُلُ دَعَاهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ أَيَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ قَالَ الرَّجُلُ نَعَمْ نَعَمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ اذْهَبُوا فَخَلُّوا سَبِيلَهُ فَإِنَّمَا أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أُقَاتِلَ النَّاسَ حَتَّى يَشْهَدُوا أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ فَإِذَا فَعَلُوا ذَلِكَ حُرِّمَتْ عَلَيَّ دِمَاؤُهُمْ وَأَمْوَالُهُمْ إِلَّا بِحَقِّهَاقَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يُونُسَ حَاتِمُ بْنُ أَبِي صَغِيرَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي النُّعْمَانُ بْنُ سَالِمٍ أَنَّ عَمْرَو بْنَ أَوْسٍ أَخْبَرَهُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَوْسٍ قَالَ إِنَّا لَقُعُودٌ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُحَدِّثُنَا وَيُوصِينَا إِذْ أَتَاهُ رَجُلٌ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

He said: Abdullah bin Bakr Al-Sahmi told us, he said: Hatim bin Abi Saghira told us, on the authority of Al-Nu’man bin Salim, that Amr bin Aws told him That his father Awsa told him, “We were sitting with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, in Saffah, and he was narrating to us and reminding us when a man came.” So he walked away and said, “Go and kill him.” He said, “When the man turned away, the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, called him. He said, ‘Does he bear witness that there is no god but God?’ He said The man: Yes, yes, O Messenger of God. Then he said, “Go and let him go. I have only been ordered to fight the people until they bear witness that there is no god but God.” Then So they did that, their blood and their property were forbidden to me, except by right. He said, Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Ansari told us, he said, Abu Yunus told us. Hatem bin Abi Saghira said: Al-Nu’man bin Salem told me that Amr bin Aws told him on the authority of his father Aws. He said, “We were sitting with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was speaking to us and advising us when a man came to him and mentioned something similar to him.

قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزُ بْنُ أَسَدٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْلَى بْنُ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ أَوْسِ بْنِ أَبِي أَوْسٍ قَالَرَأَيْتُ أَبِي يَوْمًا تَوَضَّأَ فَمَسَحَ النَّعْلَيْنِ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ أَتَمْسَحُ عَلَيْهِمَا فَقَالَ هَكَذَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَفْعَلُ

He said, Bahz bin Asad told us, Hammad bin Salamah told us, Ya’la bin Ata told us, on the authority of Aws bin Abi Aws, who said: I saw my father one day. He performed ablution and wiped his sandals, so I told him to wipe them, and he said: This is what I saw the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, doing.

قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الطَّائِفِيُّ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ الثَّقَفِيِّ عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَوْسِ بْنِ حُذَيْفَةَ قَالَكُنْتُ فِي الْوَفْدِ الَّذِينَ أَتَوْا النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَسْلَمُوا مِنْ ثَقِيفٍ مِنْ بَنِي مَالِكٍ أَنْزَلَنَا فِي قُبَّةٍ لَهُ فَكَانَ يَخْتَلِفُ إِلَيْنَا بَيْنَ بُيُوتِهِ وَبَيْنَ الْمَسْجِدِ فَإِذَا صَلَّى الْعِشَاءَ الْآخِرَةَ انْصَرَفَ إِلَيْنَا وَلَا نَبْرَحُ حَتَّى يُحَدِّثَنَا وَيَشْتَكِي قُرَيْشًا وَيَشْتَكِي أَهْلَ مَكَّةَ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ لَا سَوَاءَ كُنَّا بِمَكَّةَ مُسْتَذَلِّينَ وَمُسْتَضْعَفِينَ فَلَمَّا خَرَجْنَا إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ كَانَتْ سِجَالُ الْحَرْبِ عَلَيْنَا وَلَنَا فَمَكَثَ عَنَّا لَيْلَةً لَمْ يَأْتِنَا حَتَّى طَالَ ذَلِكَ عَلَيْنَا بَعْدَ الْعِشَاءِ قَالَ قُلْنَا مَا أَمْكَثَكَ عَنَّا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ طَرَأَ عَلَيَّ حِزْبٌ مِنْ الْقُرْآنِ فَأَرَدْتُ أَنْ لَا أَخْرُجَ حَتَّى أَقْضِيَهُ قَالَ فَسَأَلْنَا أَصْحَابَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ أَصْبَحْنَا قَالَ قُلْنَا كَيْفَ تُحَزِّبُونَ الْقُرْآنَ قَالُوا نُحَزِّبُهُ ثَلَاثَ سُوَرٍ وَخَمْسَ سُوَرٍ وَسَبْعَ سُوَرٍ وَتِسْعَ سُوَرٍ وَإِحْدَى عَشْرَةَ سُورَةً وَثَلَاثَ عَشْرَةَ سُورَةً وَحِزْبَ الْمُفَصَّلِ مِنْ قَافْ حَتَّى يُخْتَمَ

He said, Abdul Rahman bin Mahdi told us, Abdullah bin Abdul Rahman Al-Taifi told us, on the authority of Uthman bin Abdullah bin Aws Al-Thaqafi. On the authority of his grandfather, Aws bin Hudhayfah, he said, “I was among the delegation that came to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. They embraced Islam from Thaqif, from the Banu Malik. We camped in A dome for him, so he used to come to us between his homes and the mosque, and when he prayed the last night’s prayer, he would go to us and we would not leave until he spoke to us. And he complains to the Quraysh and the people of Mecca complain, then he says, “No, whether we were in Mecca humiliated or oppressed.” When we went out to Medina, it was The dispute of war was against us and for us, so he stayed away from us for a night and did not come to us until that had become too long for us after the evening meal. He said, “We said, ‘How long has he kept you away from us, O Messenger?’” God said, “A part of the Qur’an occurred to me, and I wanted not to go out until I had finished it.” He said, “So we asked the companions of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, when In the morning, he said, “We said, ‘How do you divide the Qur’an?’ They said, ‘We will divide it.’ Three surahs, five surahs, seven surahs, nine surahs, eleven surahs, and three Ten surahs and Hizb al-Mufassal from Qaf until it is concluded.

قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ شَرِيكٍ عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ أَوْسِ بْنِ أَبِي أَوْسٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى نَعْلَيْهِ

He said: Waki` told us, on the authority of Sharik, on the authority of Ali bin Ata, on the authority of Aws bin Abi Aws, on the authority of his father, that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, performed ablution. He wiped on his shoes

قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا النُّعْمَانُ بْنُ سَالِمٍ عَنْ رَجُلٍ جَدُّهُ أَوْسُ بْنُ أَبِي أَوْسٍكَانَ يُصَلِّي وَيُومِئُ إِلَى نَعْلَيْهِ وَهُوَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَيَأْخُذُهُمَا فَيَنْتَعِلُهُمَا وَيُصَلِّي فِيهِمَا وَيَقُولُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي فِي نَعْلَيْهِ

He said, Bahz told us, Shu’bah told us, Al-Nu’man bin Salem told us, on the authority of a man whose grandfather was Aws bin Abi Awskan, who prayed and gestured to his shoes. While he is praying, he takes them, puts them on, and prays in them, and he says, “The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, used to pray in his shoes.”
