حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ حَدَّثَنِي شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مُطَرِّفَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ أَنْتَ سَيِّدُ قُرَيْشٍ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ السَّيِّدُ اللَّهُ قَالَ أَنْتَ أَفْضَلُهَا فِيهَا قَوْلًا وَأَعْظَمُهَا فِيهَا طَوْلًا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِيَقُلْ أَحَدُكُمْ بِقَوْلِهِ وَلَا يَسْتَجِرُّهُ الشَّيْطَانُ

Hajjaj told us, Shu’bah told me, he said, I heard Qatada, he said, I heard Mutarrif bin Abdullah bin Al-Shakheer, speaking on the authority of his father, who said: A man came to The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “You are the master of Quraysh.” The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “Master God.” He said, “You are the best in speech.” And the greatest of them in length. Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “Let one of you say what he said, and let Satan not tempt him.”

قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ مُطَرِّفِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّهُسَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَسُئِلَ عَنْ رَجُلٍ يَصُومُ الدَّهْرَ قَالَ لَا صَامَ وَلَا أَفْطَرَ

He said: Muhammad ibn Ja`far narrated to us: Sa`id narrated to us, on the authority of Qatada, on the authority of Mutarrif ibn Abdullah ibn al-Shakhir, on the authority of his father, that he heard the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. He, peace and blessings be upon him, was asked about a man who fasted all the time. He said, “He neither fasted nor broke his fast.”

قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَرَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي فِي نَعْلَيْهِ

He said: Abd al-Razzaq told us: Muammar told us, on the authority of Sa`id al-Jariri, on the authority of Abu al-Ala’ ibn al-Shakhir, on the authority of his father. He said: I saw the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him. He prayed with a ladder in his shoes

قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو وَعَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا مَهْدِيٌّ حَدَّثَنَا غَيْلَانُ عَنْ مُطَرِّفِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ عَنْ أَبِيهِأَنَّهُ وَفَدَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي رَهْطٍ مِنْ بَنِي عَامِرٍ قَالَ فَأَتَيْنَاهُ فَسَلَّمْنَا عَلَيْهِ فَقُلْنَا أَنْتَ وَلِيُّنَا وَأَنْتَ سَيِّدُنَا وَأَنْتَ أَطْوَلُ عَلَيْنَا قَالَ يُونُسُ وَأَنْتَ أَطْوَلُ عَلَيْنَا طَوْلًا وَأَنْتَ أَفْضَلُنَا عَلَيْنَا فَضْلًا وَأَنْتَ الْجَفْنَةُ الْغَرَّاءُ فَقَالَ قُولُوا قَوْلَكُمْ وَلَا يَسْتَجِرَّنَّكُمْ الشَّيْطَانُ قَالَ وَرُبَّمَا قَالَ وَلَا يَسْتَهْوِيَنَّكُمْ

He said: Suwayd bin Amr and Abd al-Samad told us: Mahdi told us: Ghaylan told us, on the authority of Mutarrif bin Abdullah bin al-Shakhir, on the authority of his father: A delegation came to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, with a group of Banu Amir. He said, “We went to him and greeted him. We said, ‘You are our guardian, you are our master, and you are You are taller than us. Yunus said, “And you are taller than us, and you are more generous than us, and you are the glued bud.” So he said, “Say what you say and do not.” Satan seeks refuge from you, he said, and perhaps he said, but he does not tempt you.

قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ عَنْ مُطَرِّفِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَرَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَفِي صَدْرِهِ أَزِيزٌ كَأَزِيزِ الْمِرْجَلِ مِنْ الْبُكَاءِقَالَ عَبْد اللَّهِ لَمْ يَقُلْ مِنْ الْبُكَاءِ إِلَّا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ

He said, Yazid told us, he said, Hammad bin Salamah told us, on the authority of Thabit al-Bunani, on the authority of Mutarrif bin Abdullah, on the authority of his father, who said: I saw the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace Peace and blessings of God be upon him, and there was a buzzing in his chest like the buzzing of a cauldron from crying. Abdullah said: “No one cried except Yazid bin Harun.”

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ يَعْنِي الطَّوِيلَ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِأَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَوَامَّ الْإِبِلِ نُصِيبُهَا قَالَ ضَالَّةُ الْمُسْلِمِ حَرَقُ النَّارِ

Yahya bin Saeed told us, he said, Humayd told us, meaning the long one, Al-Hasan told us, on the authority of Mutarrif, on the authority of his father, that a man said, “O Messenger of God, I am haunted.” Camels are their share. The Muslim’s stray is burned by fire.

حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ صَامَ الدَّهْرَ لَا صَامَ وَلَا أَفْطَرَ وَمَا صَامَ وَلَا أَفْطَرَ

Yazid bin Harun told us, he said: Shu’bah told us, on the authority of Qatada, on the authority of Mutarrif, on the authority of his father. The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: Who He fasted for a long time, but he did not fast or break the fast, and he did not fast or break the fast.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ وَحَجَّاجٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ وَقَالَ ابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ سَمِعْتُ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ مُطَرِّفِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ حَجَّاجٌ فِي حَدِيثِهِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مُطَرِّفًا عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ أَنْتَ سَيِّدُ قُرَيْشٍ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ السَّيِّدُ اللَّهُ فَقَالَ أَنْتَ أَفْضَلُهَا فِيهَا قَوْلًا وَأَعْظَمُهَا فِيهَا طَوْلًا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِيَقُلْ أَحَدُكُمْ بِقَوْلِهِ وَلَا يَسْتَجِرَّنَّهُ الشَّيْطَانُ أَوْ الشَّيَاطِينُ

Muhammad ibn Ja’far narrated to us, Shu’bah and Hajjaj narrated to us, he said, Shu’bah narrated to us on the authority of Qatada, and Ibn Ja’far said, I heard Qatada on the authority of Mutarrif ibn Abdullah, Hajjaj said in his hadith, he said, “I heard a narration on the authority of his father, who said: A man came to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and he said, ‘You are the master of the Quraysh. So the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “Master God,” and he said, “You are the best in speech and the greatest in length.” So the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said And peace be upon him, so that one of you might speak what he said, and not be tempted by Satan or the demons.

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ هِشَامٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عُرْوَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ وَوَكِيعٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ قَالَرَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ قَالَ وَكِيعٌ فِي بَيْتِ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ فِي ثَوْبٍ قَدْ أَلْقَى طَرَفَيْهِ عَلَى عَاتِقِهِ فِي بَيْتِ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ

Yahya bin Saeed narrated to us on the authority of Hisham, meaning Ibn Urwa. He said: My father narrated to me on the authority of Omar bin Abi Salamah, and Waki’ said: Hisham narrated to us on the authority of His father, on the authority of Omar bin Abi Salamah, said: I saw the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, praying in one garment. Waki’ said in Umm Salamah’s house in a garment that had He threw both ends on his shoulders in Umm Salamah’s house.

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ وَإِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنْ أَبِي وَجْزَةَ السَّعْدِيِّ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ مُزَيْنَةَ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُتِيَ بِطَعَامٍ فَقَالَ يَا عُمَرُ قَالَ هِشَامٌ يَا بُنَيَّ سَمِّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَكُلْ بِيَمِينِكَ وَكُلْ مِمَّا يَلِيكَقَالَ فَمَا زَالَتْ أُكْلَتِي بَعْدُ

Waki` narrated to us, saying: Hisham bin Urwa and Ibrahim bin Ismail narrated to us, on the authority of Abu Jazza al-Saadi, on the authority of a man from Muzainah, on the authority of Omar bin Abu Salamah said that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, was brought food and said, “O Umar.” Hisham said, “O my sons, name the name of God Almighty, and eat with your right hand, and eat from what He said, “My food has not stopped yet.”

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِي وَجْزَةَ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي سَعْدٍ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي مُزَيْنَةَ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ قَالَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَا بُنَيَّ إِذَا أَكَلْتَ فَسَمِّ اللَّهَ وَكُلْ بِيَمِينِكَ وَكُلْ مِمَّا يَلِيكَقَالَ فَمَا زَالَتْ أُكْلَتِي بَعْدُ

Abu Muawiyah told us, he said: Hisham bin Urwa told us, on the authority of Abu Wajza, a man from Banu Saad, on the authority of a man from Banu Muzainah, on the authority of Omar bin Abu Salamah. The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “O my son, when you eat, swear by the name of God, and eat with your right hand, and eat of what suits you.” He said, and it stopped. You haven't eaten yet

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ كَثِيرٍ عَنْ وَهْبِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ قَالَقَالَ لِي النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَا غُلَامُ سَمِّ اللَّهَ وَكُلْ بِيَمِينِكَ وَكُلْ مِمَّا يَلِيكَفَلَمْ تَزَلْ تِلْكَ طُعْمَتِي بَعْدُ وَكَانَتْ يَدِي تَطِيشُ

Sufyan bin Uyaynah told us, on the authority of Al-Walid bin Kathir, on the authority of Wahb bin Kaysan, on the authority of Omar bin Abi Salamah, who said: The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said to me O boy, name the name of God, and eat with your right hand and eat from what comes to you. This has not yet disappeared from my taste, and my hand used to wander.

قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ هِشَامٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ قَالَرَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي فِي بَيْتِ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ مُشْتَمِلًا بِهِ

He said: Sufyan told us, on the authority of Hisham, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Omar bin Abi Salamah, who said: I saw the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, praying in the house of Umm Salamah in One garment included

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ قَالَقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَمِّ اللَّهَ وَكُلْ بِيَمِينِكَ وَكُلْ مِمَّا يَلِيكَ

Sufyan told us, on the authority of Hisham ibn Urwa, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Omar ibn Abi Salamah, the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said to me. With your right hand and all that follows you

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ بْنِ سَهْلٍ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ قَالَرَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ قَدْ خَالَفَ بَيْنَ طَرَفَيْهِ جَعَلَ طَرَفَيْهِ عَلَى عَاتِقَيْهِ

Yahya bin Abi Ishaq told us, he said: Al-Layth bin Saad told us, on the authority of Yahya bin Saeed, on the authority of Abi Umamah bin Sahl, on the authority of Omar bin Abi Salamah said, “I saw the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, praying in one garment, with its two ends split together, with both ends over his shoulders.”

حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ وَذَكَرَ يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ بْنِ سَهْلٍ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ قَالَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ مُتَوَشِّحًا بِهِ

Yaqoub told us, my father told us, on the authority of Ibn Ishaq, he said, and Yahya bin Saeed bin Qais Al-Ansari mentioned, on the authority of Abu Umamah bin Sahl, on the authority of Omar Ibn Abi Salamah said: I saw the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, praying in one garment, wrapped in it.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى أَبِي مُوسَى بْنُ دَاوُدَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلَالٍ عَنْ أَبِي وَجْزَةَ السَّعْدِيِّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عُمَرُ بْنُ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ قَالَدَعَانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِطَعَامٍ يَأْكُلُهُ فَقَالَ ادْنُ فَسَمِّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَكُلْ بِيَمِينِكَ وَكُلْ مِمَّا يَلِيكَ

Abdullah told us, he said: I read about Abu Musa bin Dawud, Sulayman bin Bilal told us, on the authority of Abu Jazza al-Saadi, he said: Omar bin told me Abu Salamah said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, invited me to eat food, and he said, “Come closer,” and give the name of God Almighty, and eat with your right hand, and eat from what comes to you.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى أَبِي : مَنْصُورُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ الْخُزَاعِيُّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلَالٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَوْ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو وَجْزَةَ السَّعْدِيُّ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عُمَرَ بْنَ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ رَبِيبَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُدَعَانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ ادْنُ يَا بُنَيَّ فَسَمِّ وَكُلْ مِمَّا يَلِيكَحَدَّثَنَا لُوَيْنٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلَالٍ عَنْ أَبِي وَجْزَةَ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَحْوَهُ

Abdullah told us, he said: I read to my father: Mansour bin Salama al-Khuza’i, he said: Suleiman bin Bilal told us, he said: Tell me, or Abu told me: Al-Saadi narrated that he heard Omar bin Abi Salamah, the stepson of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, saying that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, called me and said, “Come closer, O Bani Fasim and all of the following. Luwayn told us, saying: Suleiman bin Bilal told us, on the authority of Abu Jazza, on the authority of Omar bin Abi Salamah, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. And peace be upon him

حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي أُمَيَّةَ الْمَخْزُومِيِّ قَالَرَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي فِي بَيْتِ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ مُتَوَشِّحًا مَا عَلَيْهِ غَيْرُهُ

Ya'qub told us, he said, my father told me, on the authority of Ibn Ishaq, he said, Hisham bin Urwa told me, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Abdullah bin Abdullah bin Abu Umayyah Al-Makhzoumi said: I saw the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, praying in the house of Umm Salamah, the wife of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, in one garment. Distinguishing himself from what others do

حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّهُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي أُمَيَّةَ أَنَّهُرَأَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي فِي بَيْتِ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ فِي ثَوْبٍ مُلْتَحِفًا بِهِ مُخَالِفًا بَيْنَ طَرَفَيْهِ

Hussein bin Muhammad told us, he said: Ibn Abi al-Zannad told us, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Urwa bin al-Zubayr, that he said: Abdullah bin Abi told me Umayyah said that he saw the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, praying in the house of Umm Salamah in a garment wrapped in it, with the two ends separated.
