أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ إِسْمَعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ كَانَ إِذَا حَدَّثَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَيَّ مُتَعَمِّدًا فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنْ النَّارِ فَكَانَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ إِذَا حَدَّثَ قَالَ إِذَا سَمِعْتُمُونِي أُحَدِّثُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَلَمْ تَجِدُوهُ فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ أَوْ حَسَنًا عِنْدَ النَّاسِ فَاعْلَمُوا أَنِّي قَدْ كَذَبْتُ عَلَيْهِ

Abu Muammar Ismail bin Ibrahim told us, on the authority of Salih bin Omar, on the authority of Asim bin Kulayb, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Abu Hurairah. أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَمْرٍو قَالَ قَالَ لِي طَاوُسٌ اذْهَبْ بِنَا نُجَالِسْ النَّاسَ

Muhammad ibn Ahmad told us, Sufyan told us, on the authority of Amr, he said, Tawus said to me, “Go, let us sit with the people.”

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَعِيلُ بْنُ أَبَانَ حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْقُمِّيُّ حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ أَبِي الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ تَذَاكَرُوا هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ لَا يَنْفَلِتْ مِنْكُمْ فَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ مِثْلَ الْقُرْآنِ مَجْمُوعٌ مَحْفُوظٌ وَإِنَّكُمْ إِنْ لَمْ تَذَاكَرُوا هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ يَنْفَلِتْ مِنْكُمْ وَلَا يَقُولَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ حَدَّثْتُ أَمْسِ فَلَا أُحَدِّثُ الْيَوْمَ بَلْ حَدِّثْ أَمْسِ وَلْتُحَدِّثْ الْيَوْمَ وَلْتُحَدِّثْ غَدًا

Ismail bin Aban told us, Ya’qub bin Abdullah Al-Qummi told us, Ja’far bin Abi Al-Mughirah told us, on the authority of Sa’id bin Jubayr, on the authority of Ibn Abbas said: Remember this hadith, lest it escape you, for it is not like the Qur’an, compiled and preserved, and if you do not remember This hadith will escape from you, and none of you will say, “I narrated yesterday,” so I will not narrate it today. Rather, “It narrated yesterday,” and let it narrate today and narrate it tomorrow.

أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ إِسْمَعِيلَ حَدَّثَنَا مِنْدَلُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ حَدَّثَنِي جَعْفَرُ بْنُ أَبِي الْمُغِيرَةِ حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ جُبَيْرٍ قَالَ قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ رُدُّوا الْحَدِيثَ وَاسْتَذْكِرُوهُ فَإِنَّهُ إِنْ لَمْ تَذْكُرُوهُ ذَهَبَ وَلَا يَقُولَنَّ رَجُلٌ لِحَدِيثٍ قَدْ حَدَّثَهُ قَدْ حَدَّثْتُهُ مَرَّةً فَإِنَّهُ مَنْ كَانَ سَمِعَهُ يَزْدَادُ بِهِ عِلْمًا وَيَسْمَعُ مَنْ لَمْ يَسْمَعْ

Malik bin Ismail told us, Mandal bin Ali told us, Ja’far bin Abi Al-Mughirah told me, Sa’id bin Jubayr told me, he said, Ibn Abbas said Repeal the hadith and remember it, for if you do not remember it, it is gone. And do not say a man to a hadith he narrated, “I narrated it once,” for he is the one who was Hearing him increases his knowledge and makes those who have not heard listen.

أَخْبَرَنَا قَبِيصَةُ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ قَالَ تَذَاكَرُوا الْحَدِيثَ فَإِنَّ ذِكْرَهُ حَيَاتُهُ

Qabisa and Muhammad ibn Yusuf informed us, saying: Sufyan told us, on the authority of Al-A’mash, on the authority of Ibrahim, on the authority of Alqamah, who said: Remember the hadith, for His memory of his life

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ قُدَامَةَ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ كَانَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ يُحَدِّثُ الْأَعْرَابَ

Muhammad bin Qudamah informed us on the authority of Sufyan bin Uyaynah, on the authority of Ziyad bin Saad, who said: Ibn Shihab used to speak to the Bedouins.

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الشَّقَرِيِّ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ حَدِّثْ حَدِيثَكَ مَنْ يَشْتَهِيهِ وَمَنْ لَا يَشْتَهِيهِ فَإِنَّهُ يَصِيرُ عِنْدَكَ كَأَنَّهُ إِمَامٌ تَقْرَؤُهُ

Abu Al-Numan told us, Hammad bin Zayd told us, on the authority of Abu Abdullah Al-Shaqri, on the authority of Ibrahim, he said: Tell your story to whoever desires it and to whoever does not. If you desire him, he will become to you as if he were an imam whom you read.

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ السَّلَامِ عَنْ حَجَّاجٍ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ إِذَا سَمِعْتُمْ مِنَّا حَدِيثًا فَتَذَاكَرُوهُ بَيْنَكُمْ

Abu Muammar and Muhammad bin Saeed told us, on the authority of Abd al-Salam, on the authority of Hajjaj, on the authority of Ata, on the authority of Ibn Abbas, who said: If you hear a hadith from us So remember it among yourselves

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ عَنْ هُشَيْمٍ أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ قَالَ كُنَّا نَأْتِي الْحَسَنَ فَإِذَا خَرَجْنَا مِنْ عِنْدِهِ تَذَاكَرْنَا بَيْنَنَا

Abu Muammar told us on the authority of Hushaym, Yunus told us, he said: We used to go to Al-Hasan, and when we left his presence, we would discuss it among ourselves.

أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ قَالَ قِيلَ لِعُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ لَوْ جَمَعْتَ النَّاسَ عَلَى شَيْءٍ فَقَالَ مَا يَسُرُّنِي أَنَّهُمْ لَمْ يَخْتَلِفُوا قَالَ ثُمَّ كَتَبَ إِلَى الْآفَاقِ وَإِلَى الْأَمْصَارِ لِيَقْضِ كُلُّ قَوْمٍ بِمَا اجْتَمَعَ عَلَيْهِ فُقَهَاؤُهُمْ

Yazid bin Harun informed us on the authority of Hammad bin Salamah on the authority of Humaid. It was said to Omar bin Abdul Aziz: If you gather the people on something, he said: What I am pleased that they did not disagree. He said, “Then he wrote to the horizons and to the regions, so that each people might decide according to what their jurists had agreed upon.”

أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ عَنْ الْمَسْعُودِيِّ عَنْ عَوْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ مَا أُحِبُّ أَنَّ أَصْحَابَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمْ يَخْتَلِفُوا فَإِنَّهُمْ لَوْ اجْتَمَعُوا عَلَى شَيْءٍ فَتَرَكَهُ رَجُلٌ تَرَكَ السُّنَّةَ وَلَوْ اخْتَلَفُوا فَأَخَذَ رَجُلٌ بِقَوْلِ أَحَدٍ أَخَذَ بِالسُّنَّةِ

Yazid told us on the authority of Al-Masudi, on the authority of Aun ibn Abdullah. He said, “I do not like that the companions of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, did not differ. If they agreed on something and a man abandoned it, he abandoned the Sunnah. And if they disagreed and a man took the statement of someone who followed the Sunnah.

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ عَنْ لَيْثٍ عَنْ طَاوُسٍ قَالَ رُبَّمَا رَأَى ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ الرَّأْيَ ثُمَّ تَرَكَهُ

Abu Nu`aym told us, Hasan told us, on the authority of Laith, on the authority of Tawus, who said, “Perhaps Ibn Abbas had an opinion and then abandoned it.”

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ أَنْبَأَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ مَرْوَانَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ قَالَ قَالَ لِي عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَفَّانَ إِنَّ عُمَرَ قَالَ لِي إِنِّي قَدْ رَأَيْتُ فِي الْجَدِّ رَأْيًا فَإِنْ رَأَيْتُمْ أَنْ تَتَّبِعُوهُ فَاتَّبِعُوهُ قَالَ عُثْمَانُ إِنْ نَتَّبِعْ رَأْيَكَ فَإِنَّهُ رَشَدٌ وَإِنْ نَتَّبِعْ رَأْيَ الشَّيْخِ قَبْلَكَ فَنِعْمَ ذُو الرَّأْيِ كَانَ قَالَ وَكَانَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ يَجْعَلُهُ أَبًا

Al-Hajjaj bin Al-Minhal told us, Hammad bin Salama told us, Hisham bin Urwa told us, on the authority of Urwa, on the authority of Marwan bin Al-Hakam, he said Othman bin Affan told me that Omar told me, “I have seen an opinion in the grandfather, so if you think that you should follow him, then follow him.” Othman said, “If we follow your opinion He is wise, and if we follow the opinion of the Sheikh before you, then yes, he is wise, he said, and Abu Bakr used to make him a father.

أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ الْحِزَامِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ الْأَحْوَلُ قَالَ عَرَضْتُ عَلَى الشَّعْبِيِّ أَحَادِيثَ الْفِقْهِ فَأَجَازَهَا لِي

Ibrahim bin Al-Mundhir Al-Hazami told us, Marwan bin Muawiyah told us, Asim Al-Ahwal told us, he said, I presented to Al-Sha’bi the hadiths of jurisprudence. So he allowed it to me

أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِعَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ أَسَمِعْتَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِرَجُلٍ مَرَّ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ بِسِهَامٍ أَمْسِكْ بِنِصَالِهَا قَالَ نَعَمْ

Ibrahim bin Al-Mundhir told us, Sufyan bin Uyaynah told us, he said, I said to Amr bin Dinar, did you hear Jabir bin Abdullah say, he said The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, told a man who passed through the mosque with arrows that he caught by the arrows. He said, “Yes.”

أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِعَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ أَسَمِعْتَ أَبَاكَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُقَبِّلُهَا وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ قَالَ نَعَمْ

Ibrahim bin Al-Mundhir told us, Sufyan told us, he said: I said to Abd al-Rahman bin al-Qasim: Did you hear your father telling on the authority of Aisha that the Messenger He, may God bless him and grant him peace, used to kiss her while he was fasting. He said yes.

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ حَدَّثَنَا مِسْكِينُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ مَنْصُورٌ بِحَدِيثٍ فَلَقِيتُهُ فَقُلْتُ أُحَدِّثُ بِهِ عَنْكَ قَالَ أَوَ لَيْسَ إِذَا كَتَبْتُ إِلَيْكَ فَقَدْ حَدَّثْتُكَ قَالَ وَسَأَلْتُ أَيُّوبَ السَّخْتِيَانِيَّ فَقَالَ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ

Al-Hasan bin Ahmad told us, Miskin bin Bukayr told us, Shu’bah told us, he said: Mansour wrote to me with a hadith, so I met him and said: I will narrate On your authority, he said, or not. If I wrote to you, then I told you. He said, “I asked Ayyub al-Sakhtiyani, and he said like that.”
