هذا الكتاب "نسب معد واليمن الكبير" لمؤلفه ابن الكلبي يتناول دراسة الأنساب في اليمن وشمال الجزيرة العربية، مركزاً على نسب قبائل عدنان وقحطان. يدرس الكتاب نسب قبائل عدنانية مثل بني أسد، بني تيم الله، بني ربيعة، وبني إياد، بالإضافة إلى قبائل قحطانية أخرى. يهدف إلى توثيق نسب هذه القبائل وعلاقتها بأصولها التاريخية والأنسابية، معتمداً على المصادر التاريخية والأدبية المتاحة في عصره.
Translation
This book, “The Lineage of Ma`ad and the Great Yemen,” by Ibn al-Kalbi, deals with the study of genealogy in Yemen and the northern Arabian Peninsula, focusing on the lineage of the Adnan and Qahtan tribes. The book studies the lineage of Adnani tribes such as Bani Asad, Bani Taim Allah, Bani Rabi’ah, and Bani Iyad, in addition to other Qahtan tribes. He aims to document the lineage of these tribes and their relationship to their historical and genealogical origins, relying on the historical and literary sources available in his time.
