كتاب العواصم والقواصم في الذب عن سنة أبي القاسم من الكتب الجامعة لعدد من الفنون، وقد ألفه محمد بن الوزير اليماني (توفي:840هـ) بعد أن ألف أحد مشايخه رسالة في الرد عليه، فناقشها ابن الوزير في هذا الكتاب، وقد ركز فيه على مسألة الاجتهاد والتقليد، ثم ناقش عدة قضايا عقدية وفقهية، مثل: رؤية الله في الآخرة، والإمامة العظمى، وخلق أفعال العباد. ميزة الكتاب تكمن في توسع مؤلفه في مناقشة القضايا المطروحة وبيان أدلتها بالتفصيل، والاعتماد في كتابه على المصادر الأصلية في الدين الإسلامي. …

Translation

The book Al-Awasim wa Al-Qawasim fi Al-Dhab on the Sunnah of Abu Al-Qasim is one of the comprehensive books of a number of arts. It was written by Muhammad bin Al-Wazir Al-Yamani (died 840 AH) after one of his sheikhs wrote a treatise in response to it. Ibn Al-Wazir discussed it in this book, and he focused in it on the issue of ijtihad and imitation, then discussed several doctrinal and jurisprudential issues, such as: seeing God in the afterlife, the great imamate, and creating the actions of the servants. The advantage of the book lies in its author’s expansion in discussing the issues raised and explaining their evidence in detail, and in relying in his book on original sources in the Islamic religion. …
