هذا الكتاب "الكَشْف" للفقيه محمد بن حسين، يُعد كتابًا في تصنيف العقيدة، يُعنى بتعريف حياة المؤلف وتصفاته، ويشمل فهرسًا للمحتويات يُظهر موضوعات الكتاب. يبدأ الكتاب بتعريف المؤلف، حيث يُذكر اسمه ونسبه ومولده ونشأته، ثم ينتقل إلى صفاته، حيث يُصفه بالكفيف البصر، لكنه رزق بالبصيرة والذكاء وقوة الحافظة. يُشير الكتاب إلى أن المؤلف كان ربعة من الرجال، نحيفًا، ويمتاز بهيئته في المشي، وكان لباسُه لباس العلماء في ذلك الوقت. يُصفه أيضًا بالصوت الخفض، لكنه كان مسموعًا هادئًا يبعث سماعه على الطمأنينة والراحة. يُذكر أيضًا أن المؤلف كان كثير الصوم والصلاة، دائم التضرع والابتهال إلى الله.
Translation
This book, “Al-Kashf,” by the jurist Muhammad bin Hussein, is considered a book on the classification of faith. It is concerned with defining the life and characteristics of the author, and includes an index of contents that shows the topics of the book. The book begins by introducing the author, mentioning his name, lineage, birth, and upbringing, then moving on to his characteristics, describing him as blind, but endowed with insight, intelligence, and the power of memory. The book indicates that the author was a medium-sized man, thin, and distinguished by his walking appearance, and his dress was that of scholars at that time. He also described it as a low voice, but it was a quiet audible that was reassuring and comforting to hear. It is also mentioned that the author fasted and prayed a lot, always supplicating and supplicating to God.
