كتاب "دفاع عن العقوبات الإسلامية" هو بحث شرعي يهدف إلى بيان حكمة العقوبات في الشريعة الإسلامية والرد على الانتقادات الموجهة إليها. يبدأ المؤلف بتعريف الجريمة لغة واصطلاحًا، ثم يستعرض نظرة الإسلام إليها، ويؤكد على أن العقوبة ضرورة اجتماعية، ويوضح الحكمة منها، ليجيب في النهاية عن التساؤل حول ما إذا كانت العقوبات الإسلامية قاسية، وذلك في إطار مقارنتها بالقوانين الوضعية.
Translation
The book “Defending Islamic Punishments” is a legal study that aims to explain the wisdom of punishments in Islamic law and respond to the criticisms directed at it. The author begins by defining crime linguistically and terminologically, then reviews Islam’s view of it, emphasizes that punishment is a social necessity, and explains the wisdom behind it, to finally answer the question of whether Islamic punishments are harsh, in the context of comparing them to man-made laws.
