Translation

The book “Jurisprudence of Transactions” by Abdul Aziz Muhammad Azzam is a jurisprudential study in the provisions of financial and social transactions in Islam, with a focus on the doctrine of Imam al-Shafi’i with reference to other doctrines in controversial matters. The author aims to present these rulings in an easy manner and in precise order, to demonstrate the breadth of Islamic jurisprudence and its comprehensiveness to regulate the individual’s relationship with his Lord and society. The book deals with topics such as selling and its elements, usury and its types, qirad, al-laqta, foundling, ju’ala, reviving dead things, endowment, and gift.
