يعد كتاب "الديارات" من تأليف أبي الفرج الأصبهاني، وهو يتضمن أخباراً وتراجم عن ديرات مختلفة تقع في أرجاء مختلفة من بلاد الشام والعراق. يتناول الكتاب تاريخ هذه الديرات وأهم الأحداث والقصص المرتبطة بها، مع التركيز على دير أبلق ودير الأعلى وغيرها من الديرات المشهورة. يتناول الكتاب أيضاً وصفاً للديرات وموقعها الجغرافي وقصصاً تاريخية مرتبطة بها، مع الإشارة إلى بعض الشخصيات البارزة التي عاشت أو زارت هذه الديرات.
Translation
The book “Al-Diyarat” was written by Abu Al-Faraj Al-Asbahani, and it includes news and biographies about different monasteries located in different parts of the Levant and Iraq. The book deals with the history of these monasteries and the most important events and stories associated with them, with a focus on Deir Ablaq, Deir al-Ala, and other famous monasteries. The book also covers a description of the monasteries, their geographical location, and historical stories related to them, with reference to some of the prominent figures who lived or visited these monasteries.
