About this work
الجبال والأمكنة والمياه هو كتاب مشهور، من تأليف الزمخشري طبع لأول مرة سنة 1857م بعناية سالفر دادي غرافة، ثم طبع في النجف سنة 1968 باعتماد مخطوطة أخرى فيها زيادات على الطبعة الأولى، ثم طبع 1968م بتحقيق د.إبراهيم السامرائي معتمدا ما لم يطلع عليه أصحاب الطبعتين. وهو غير كتاب نصر الإسكندري ( ت 561هـ ) : الذي نشره فؤاد سزكين سنة 1990م مصورا بعنوان :(الأمكنة والمياه والجبال) ويضم (2938) ترجمة، منها (2317) ترجمة تدخل في موضوع كتابه (المؤتلف والمختلف).
Translation
Mountains, Places and Water is a famous book, written by Al-Zamakhshari. It was printed for the first time in 1857 AD, with the care of Salver Daddy Gharafa. Then it was printed in Najaf in 1968 based on another manuscript containing additions to the first edition. Then it was printed in 1968 AD with the verification of Dr. Ibrahim Al-Samarrai, relying on what the owners of the two editions had not seen. It is different from the book of Nasr al-Iskandarī (d. 561 AH): which was published by Fuad Sezgin in 1990 AD, illustrated with the title: (Places, Waters, and Mountains) and includes (2938) translations, of which (2317) are translations that fall within the subject of his book (The Compound and the Different).
