The book entitled “Drugs are the Most Dangerous Obstacles to Development” by Dr. Ibrahim Imam, deals with the issue of drugs and their negative effects on human and social development in the Islamic world. The author focuses on Islam's position on drugs compared to alcohol, discusses their dangers to the individual and society, and links the spread of drugs to backwardness and crime. It also refers to religious and media efforts to combat this phenomenon, and reviews the impact of drugs on different groups in society, especially young people.
