هذا الكتاب هو شرح وضعه السيوطي على كراسته المسماة "النقاية"، والتي ضمنها خلاصة أربعة عشر علمًا من العلوم الدينية. يهدف المؤلف من هذا الشرح إلى توضيح ما أودعه في طي ألفاظ النقاية من معانٍ ودقائق، ليعم النفع بها ويستغني بها الطالب عن غيره من الكتب الكبار. يبدأ الكتاب بشرح أصول الدين، ثم يتناول التفسير والحديث، ويسير على منهج الإيجاز مع الإحاطة بالمباحث الأساسية في كل علم.
Translation
This book is an explanation that Al-Suyuti wrote in his pamphlet called “Al-Naqāya,” which includes a summary of fourteen religious sciences. In this explanation, the author aims to clarify the meanings and subtleties that he has deposited in the fold of the words of purity, so that they may be of benefit and that the student can dispense with them from other great books. The book begins with an explanation of the fundamentals of religion, then deals with interpretation and hadith, and follows the method of brevity while covering the basic topics in each science.
