About this work

إسماعيل باشا بن محمد أمين بن مير سليم الباباني البغدادي (1839- 1920 م / 1339 هـ). هو أديب ومؤرخ عاش في أواخر عصر الدولة العثمانية وتوفي قبل سقوطها بسنوات معدودة. وقد ذكر خير الدين الزركلي في ترجمته له أنَّه أقام في زمانهم في مقري كوي بقرب الآستانة.

Translation

Ismail Pasha bin Muhammad Amin bin Mir Salim al-Babani al-Baghdadi (1839-1920 AD / 1339 AH). He is a writer and historian who lived in the late era of the Ottoman Empire and died a few years before its fall. Khair al-Din al-Zirikli mentioned in his translation of it that he resided in their time in Makari Kuy near Istanbul.
