This book is a scientific index written by its author, Al-Wadi Ashi, and it is classified among the indexes of books and evidence. He aims to record the names of the sheikhs he met in Tunisia and during his travels, mentioning the narrations and authorizations he took from them, whether from those he met or from those who authorized him from the East and West. The author arranged his material into two parts, the first of which was devoted to the names of the sheikhs, their lineages, and deaths, and the second to the knowledge and narrations taken from them.
