About this work

مجلة الأحكام العدلية هي مجموعة تشريعية فقهية على المذهب الحنفي، صدرت في العهد العثماني لتقنين الأحكام القضائية المدنية، وتتكون من ستة عشر كتاباً تبدأ بكتاب البيوع وتنتهي بكتاب القضاء. يضم الكتاب مقدمة تشتمل على تعريف علم الفقه وتقسيمه، وبيان القواعد الكلية الفقهية، ثم يتناول بالتفصيل أحكام البيوع وأركانها وشروطها ومسائل التسليم والتسلم. وقد كان لهذه المجلة أثر قانوني واسع، إذ شكلت أساساً لقوانين الأحوال الشخصية والعقوبات في كثير من الدول العربية.

Translation

The Journal of Judicial Rulings is a legislative and jurisprudential collection based on the Hanafi school of thought. It was issued in the Ottoman era to codify civil judicial rulings. It consists of sixteen books beginning with the Book of Sales and ending with the Book of Judiciary. The book includes an introduction that includes a definition of the science of jurisprudence and its division, and a statement of the general rules of jurisprudence, then it deals in detail with the provisions of sales, their pillars and conditions, and issues of delivery and delivery. This code had a wide legal impact, as it formed the basis for personal status and penal laws in many Arab countries.
